Jordan’s One Week Journal November 27th Today at school we had P.E. We played dodge ball. I had a good team. My team won three times. Dodge ball is one of my favorite sports. November 28th Today at school during recess it was pouring snow. Boy believe me. I MEAN IT WAS POURING! It was coming down so hard I couldn’t see. Holy snap it was icy. The bus ride was so long because of the ice. When I got off the bus I fell on my butt. It hurt badly. November 29th Today at school we had four substitute. Two of the substitute were cool. The one in P.E was cool. The one in P.E was cool because he let us play dodge ball. He even let us playboy’s V.S girls. The boy’s won every time. The teacher in L.A was cool too! She gave us three warnings. The first one was between her and you. The second one is between her and you. The third one was between her and the teacher. November 30th Today at school we have a bunch of snow on the ground. I was playing and a handle of a shovel hit me in the mouth. I got a fat lip. It was really bloody. I had it coming. Then I was running in my house when boom a nail came out of the floor and slit my foot open. Boy that was bloody. It was a bad day for me. December 1st Today I had Jon over. He is spending the night. He is super cool. He is my best friend. We went out back to snowboard. We have a hill called death match!!! Jon died but I didn’t die. I told Jon we have to go home. December 2nd Jon is still hear. When we woke up there was a bunch of snow on the ground!!!!! At five in morning snow plows woke me up. We measured the snow and there was about 12 inches. We tried to start a 440 snowmobile. It was useless. December 3rd Today I woke up at 6:00. I said mom what are we doing. I guess I thought it was at night. I went to Teddy’s house. It was boring. We saw a fox so we chased it. My mom said it wasn’t a smart thing to do. We were going to go to a movie but it didn’t happen.
Katie’s Journal November 27 Tonight my family and I went to Benzie. We listened to Christmas songs on the way there. When we arrived we ate at McDonalds. I ate chicken nuggets and french fries. It was good! When we finished we went to Shop-and-Save. I got a tinker bell poster. My sister Jodi got a drawing pad and pencil. Where are we going next? That is what I heard my sister said. `Home` my mother replied. On the way home we passed a HUGE display of lights. Let me see. My sister pushed me as she said it. When we got home we went straight to bed. It was a fun night. November 28 Today was an average day. I don’t want to talk about it, so I’m going to talk about my friends at school. I have many friends at school, but one of my best friends is Courtney Madison. We have many things in common. Want to know what? I’ll only tell you the first ones I think of. They are we both bits overweight, we both have short hair, we both are in Mrs. Brown’s class, and we both have little annoying sisters. We also both like Poke`mon. We are such best friends! November 29 Today is another average day! I’m still not going to talk about it. This time I’ll talk about my pets. I have 5 pets. Their names are Berney, Mocha, Jake, Leta, and Nippy. Mocha and Leta are girls. Berney, Jake, and Nippy are boys. Leta is a dog and Nippy is a rabbit. Mocha, Jake, and Berney are cats. I used to have a kitten named Oliver. Want to know where he is now? He is in cat heaven. He got ran over by a car. I miss him so much! Now though, I have Mocha as a replacement. I love my pets. November 30 Today was average but tonight was fun. My family and I went to Traverse City. First, when we got there we ate dinner at a restraint called Culver’s. Want to know who I saw. I saw my schoolmate Cameron Blevins! I said `hi Cameron` then he said a boring hello back. Then we finished our dinner and went to Border’s book store to drop my mom off. Next my dad my sister and I went to Meijers to look for a present for my mom. Then the whole family went home and went to bed. It was a fun night. December 1 Today I went to my grandma’s house. When I got there she gave me a warm welcome. Then I played with toys for a bit. Then I made chocolate with her. For a demonstration she put a vanilla wafer in some melted chocolate. Then she used a special tool to cover the wafer with chocolate and to take the wafer out. Then she said `now you try`. I did that for the rest of the time I was there. It was a fun afternoon. December 2 Today I had nothing to do, so I drew a picture. My picture has 53 hamsters in it. It is a picture of a place where hamsters live. There is a slide, a merry-go-round, a swing set, a sand box, a picnic table, and monkey bars. Also there is a trampoline, a race track, a picnic blanket to sleep in the sun, an airplane, and a river with three different sections. There is even a statue, 3 different shows, a food shop, a toy shop, and a lot of other buildings. That’s a whole lot of things isn’t it? What can I say? I love to draw! December 3 Today I had no school. I went to my grandma’s house. First I did some crafts. I made a pillow, sand bottle, and a wall hanging. My sister was doing the same. Then my mom gave me my lunch. I had a turkey dinner for lunch. After lunch I went to pottery class. Hen I went back to my grandma’s house. Next my mom came to pick me up to go home. I had a fun day at my grandma’s house.
Jon’s Journal November 27th Today at school we had gym class. When we were at gym we had a substitute. We played doge ball. When we were playing I had two balls and Elijah was yelling at me but I wasn’t paying any attention. He said give me the dang ball. When I was running someone threw a ball and I did a side flip! Then I was wondering why we stopped playing. I said what happened the pine wasn’t knocked over? The funniest part was the teacher grabbed a ball and hit Thomas in the head. I had a good time to day. November 28th Tonight I went to my brother’s basketball game. My brother played Bear Lake. There was three or four jump balls and Bear Lake got all of them. I wondered why that happened? Curtis went to save the ball and bounced it off the back board. My brother Joe scored the first 7 points! Than in the second half Michel got punched in the face. He was lucky because if he would have got blood on his jersey he would be out! It was a good game any way. November 29th Today at school we had a substitute in gym. Fist we played doge ball. It was boys vs. girls. The substitute was on the girls’ team. When we were playing he threw the ball really fast and hit me in the ankle and knocked me flat on my face! When I was out I was yelling catch the ball. Than someone threw the ball and hit Payton in the face. After that I jumped to the ground because the teacher just fired a ball and I just dodged it. There was an awesome for the boys’ because a girl threw a ball it hit Jarett than Aaron than Russell than Cameron caught the ball. So no one was out but the girl who threw it. I had a great time. November 30th Today after school I went to Keith’s house. Went sledding down his hill. We were using those rope boards. Curtis and Joe came outside sledding with us and there was a BIG CRASH!! Keith fell and James fell on Keith then I hit James and Joe hit me than Curtis hit Joe then there dog jumped on us? Then James it’s my turn to snowboard. Than we raced down there driveway on snowboards. When Me James and Keith were racing James pulled Keith’s rope ad spun out. Than Keith kicked the back of my board and I skidded into James. I had a great time. December 1st Today I am at Jordan’s house. I am spending the night tonight. We took snowboards an went out back to a hill called DEATH MATCH!!! I wonder why we named it that? Jordan yelled and said we have to go home. Than we went and got Devin and Brandon. We played king of the dog house. Than we went to get a Christmas tree. I had a good time today. December 2nd Today I was at Jordan’s house again. We were trying to get there big snowmobile started but we couldn’t start it, Jordan said one two three pull! Jordan got board and just rod the little one. Then Jordan got stuck. I beat he was wondering man is he going to help me or not. Then Brandon came over throw snowballs at Jordan when he came by. I would always ask him are you hungry? I had a good time. P.S. I got a black eye there too. December 3rd Today we had a snow day! I didn’t get why we had no school because there wasn’t any snow? Anyway my neighbor came over and so did Curtis Mckenny. We played a snow ball hid and go seek tag. Then James smashed an ice block on my head so I speared him. Than Joe was yelling KNOCK IT OFF!! Then we came inside and made cookies. Then my aunt and uncle gave me a packer sweat shirt, pants, and a freeman jersey. I hope we have another snow day.
Devin C.’s Journal for One Week. November 27 In School today we took a math test on multiplication, adding, subtraction, and dividing. In science Mr. Neph told us to get to the back table to get supplies for our experiment on friction. Aaron wanted to be in Elijah and my group. Mr. Neph said, “No he would cause to much trouble”. So he told Aaron to pass out Supplies. Aaron asked Mr. Neph, “How many rubber bands does each of them need”? Mr. Neph said, “Three”. All of my groups rubber bands broke. One of the rubber bands hit Elijah’s hand he yelled oww!!!! Then he ran to the back of the room to get another rubber band. Mr. Neph told him to stop running and sit down. Then I went to language arts. And did a L.A. sheet. Then we went to gym and ran around a lot. Then I went back to L.A. and did a run on sentence sheet. Then I went out for recess. Then we did social studies and did a explorer sheet. Then I got on the bus. That’s all the important stuff I did today. November 28 Today on the bus was horrible! This teenager named Rich was yelling a lot. He told Michael M. to sit down and to shut up or I’ll send you up front. Michael said, “No you can’t”. Rich said, “You want to bet”. He said, “Aaron you to”. Aaron stopped but Michael kept going. Then Rich said, Do you want this to happen”? Then I got off that’s my whole bus ride. November 29 Today on the bus Jordan C. smacked me in the eye. He thought he smacked me on the cheek. It really hurt. Then Jordan asked, “Did I hit you in the eye”? I said, “Duh”. Then Aaron started shining a laser light. Aaron said, “Where ever the light goes you hit”. So Jordan was hitting himself a lot. Then Randy P. started squeezing my hand real hard. Then Randy got off. Then Jordan smacked me because the light was there. Then he punched me but the light wasn’t even there because Aaron had just got off. Megan Meadows hit her head on the seat by accident and cried about it. Then Megan started to smack my head against the window again and again and again. Then she stopped. Then Megan smacked Jordan. I didn’t do anything. Then Megan started smacking are heads together. We were like ow!! ow!! ow!!!! Then Megan started doing it again and again. Then Jordan smacked her. Then Jordan was blocking somebody from going through the aisle. Then I got off. I said, “Thank god”!!!!!!!!! That was another horrible bus ride by Devin C's horrible bus ride like yesterday but this one was worse. November 30 Today in school I didn’t switch. Instead I had library, band, and computers. In band I didn’t have to play a solo instead we played a new song. I asked her why I didn’t have to play a solo? Mrs. Graham said, “Not today”. I went back to my seat and said, ”Yes!” Then I went to library. In library we had a different library teacher. She read two books about winter. Then she told us riddles. Then we got books. I didn’t though. Then we went to computer lab. We had to do all the right type. Then we had free time. I still did all the right type. Then we had to leave early to put on snow stuff. Outside I ran down the hill and slid. Then I went in. Then I went to social studies. I did a question that took half an hour. Then we all got free time because everybody been good all the week. I played kid pix. That is about what we do every Friday. Then Mr. Neph said, ”Put up your chairs”. Then I left. That’s what I did today. Tomorrow is the weekend so there is no school tomorrow. Dec 1 Today at home I was supposed to go pick up our snowmobile. We didn’t pick it up because the storm was coming. So instead I just stayed home. Then Jordan Coe and Jon Eno came over. Then we went to Jordan’s house. Then we left because Jordan had to get a Christmas tree. Then Aaron Fraly called and asked if I could come over? I said, “Yes”. So at 6.30 I went to Aaron’s house. Today was fun even though I didn’t get a snowmobile. Dec. 2 Today at Aaron’s I played outside with him. Then we went in and watched TV. Then we went outside again. This time we saucers. It was so much funner. Aaron would go down first then I would he would crash then I would crash into him. Then we climbed up the hill. Then he said, “This time you go down first”. I said, “No”!!! Then he said, “Why not”? Then I said, “Because I like watching you crash”. Then we went down. Then we went inside. Then he went to his brother Andrew and been irritating. His dad said, ”Stop Aaron Michael”!!! Aaron said, “Smeagle said I shouldn’t”. His dad said, “Smeagle isn’t real”. Aaron said, “Yeah he is I saw him on TV”. His dad said, “Get out of my sight”. So we went to his bedroom and watched TV. Then we went outside. We went down then came up. His dad said, “Aaron come here”. Aaron said, “Why”? His dad said, “Because it is raining”. So we went in. Then I had to get my stuff ready. Then I went home. That was my day at Aaron’s house. Dec. 3 Today Aaron came over. We played xbox. Aaron yelled when he lost. He yelled, “This is stupid”! I told him to stop. He asked, “How do I play this”? Then we went outside and played on the snow hill. Then his mom came and talked. We were still playing outside. Then he left.
Devin T.’s Journal November 27 Today I did a science experiment. The whole class had to do it with partners. The partner I had was Thomas. Having him as a partner was exciting because he is always fun to be with. Thomas and I took turns doing the experiment because there were a lot of parts to it. I told Thomas he needs to stop using the same object over. What did you bring for the experiment? I asked Thomas. Look how far the rubber band stretches when I put the tape holder in I said. It was fun having Thomas as a partner. November 28 Today at school I played freeze tag outside. There was a big piece of snow coming towards Tucker. I yelled look out Tucker! How did that feel Tucker? Tucker said cold. I caught Alexis because I was it like 18 times. Why do you keep catching me? I said because you are easy to catch. When Tucker was running he slipped on a piece of ice. I laughed out loud. Good thing he was ok. Right when the game started to get fun the whistle blew. It was exciting playing freeze tag that recess. November 29 Today Mrs. Brown, Mrs. Bennett and Mr. Neph all had substitutes. I didn’t know what the subs names were. One sub in la if one kid got a warning the whole group got a warning. In social studies it was confusing. It was confusing because the sub would not talk but only sometimes she would talk. Turn the page. The one in social studies said that to just about every kid. What are you doing? The one in LA said that a lot. That sounds exciting. The one in la said that pretty loud. I didn’t feel comfortable with the subs because I had no clue who they were. It wasn’t very exciting having subs. November 30 Today I went sledding at recess. Sledding was exciting but you didn’t go very far. When I ran down the hill I did a big whipe out. I went face first right into the snow. I almost ran into Ryan. Going face first into the snow didn’t feel very comfortable. When I went in face first I couldn’t feel my face. I had to say look out a lot. Sledding was cold but fun. December 1 Today I just stayed indoors all day because there was a blizzard. My brother and I got bored so we used our imagination and stated to play fun stuff. We played pirates and pretended that the stuffed animals were the crew. The bed was the pirate ship. We would throw bouncy balls at the bed and pretended that the ship was under attack. It was fun how I spent my day like that. December 2 Today I went but after I went to my nana’s house. My brother and I went outside a few times. Inside we played hide and go seek. We also decorated her Christmas tree. When my brother and I went outside this dork threw a snow ball at us and it hit my mom’s van. We went to my nana’s house because my mom and step dad went Christmas shopping. I had fun at my nana’s house. December 3 Today I went sledding with my brother. We went really fast sense the snow was frozen. There was a bump and I went flying like two feet in the air. I crashed into the fence but I was ok. On one run down the hill I crashed and I went face first into the snow. I had fun sledding. Cameron B’s Journal. November 27th Today is a Tuesday! Tuesday is a gym day! When we got to gym, the teacher tells us to sit down and do the warm ups. After the warm ups we start a game. Do you like gym days? I just love playing dodge ball in gym class because it is competitive, fun, and energizing. I will probably love gym for the rest of my life, but I do not know really. That’s what I did on Tuesday. November 28th Today is a Wednesday. We have band on Wednesday. Today in band I played my trombone and learned a new note! The not is e sharp. It’s a hard note to play, but it sounds very good. The band teacher, Mrs. Graham, told us to sit down and be quiet while she was talking. Do you play an instrument? Sometimes band is fun and sometimes it is not very fun at all. That’s what I did on Wednesday in school besides my normal subjects. November 29th Do you like art? I do! I love going to art because it is fun and you can express yourself through art also. Today in art the teacher told us that we must draw a Christmas or winter related picture. She said that some high schoolers would be choosing the winners. I did not finish my picture so I was disqualified, but I’m still happy that I tried. I had a good Thursday! November 30th To day is a Friday! Do you like Fridays? I definatly do. Fridays are the last school day of the week. On Fridays we don’t switch which means we stay in our homerooms all day long except for going to lunch in the middle of the day. Today the teacher told us to go outside. Today we had enough snow so that we could slide down the big hill in front of the school. Also on Fridays we always get to go on the laptops and play games and have free time. Fridays are awesome!!! December 1st Today my family and I got to go outside and sled! It’s very fun! When you sled down a big hill, there’s nothing that can replace the rush of cold blood to your head. My mom said I had to us the circle sled and let my brother us the normal one. It was very fun because we live on Neisen Drive off of Cherry Road and it’s all forest back here so the snow does not get direct sunlight, so the snow does not melt. Well, I just love to sled when there’s plenty of snow on the hill I’m sledding on. Do you like to sled at all? December 2nd Today we would have gone to church but we had already gone to church on Saturday. So today we did not have to go anywhere all day. Today my parents told me that I had to help around the house. It was still fun to just be at home the whole day long. Do you like days where you can just stay at home and hang out with your family? I love those type of days! So today we just kicked back and watched TV and played games. That’s what I did on Sunday. December 3rd Today was a snow day!!! A snow day!!! The night before today, my dad said that it might be a snow day and it was a snow day. He still told me to wake up early. I had lots of fun playing in the snow that had fallen. I built a snow man and a snow fort. I also dug a tunnel through the snow bank. I had a good time crawling through the tunnel. I had a good snow day. Did you have a good snow day? That’s what I did on Monday.
Elijah’s Journal November 27th Today we got our book orders!! I got 2 totally wicked books! There names are RuneScape the official hand book. The other is Tales of terror. The tales of terror book has a key to go with it. I was at leaps and bounds and we went out side and I lost the Key. I reached I my pocket ant said “where is my key”??? My mom said “Go find it now!!!” I looked everywhere and did not find the key. Now I write this down and will never forget.

Dec 3rd Kayla F.'s Journal November 27th Today was kind a fun. During recess Jacinda, Louise, and I were wondering what to do. Then we seen these 3rd grade girls go down the big slide. We decided to try it. It was fun!! I wonder why it was so fast even without snow pants? We did one at a time. I once gat stuck! Then Louise and Jacinda came down and got stuck with me. Jacinda told me about how she flipped over in the slide when our clog went down. Jacinda's knee got in my check so I moved it and that is probably how she flipped over. Today was fun. November 28th Today it was Awana. I told the leader three huge verses!! I wonder if I will finish my handbook? During game time we played tug-o-war and a pass it kind of game. We won very easily in tug-o-war!! Next Awana is pickle night. Where you have to dress in green and if you get a section done in your handbook you get a pickle!! What would I get since I do not like pickles??? We drew for a propel because he brought it for a prop for our lesson. He talked about how he had no energy after Thanksgiving. His wife made him go shopping in Traverse City!! He was using all these things to try to get some energy. But he found this perfect gift for his wife so he found out that it is easy to get into the Christmas spirit. Like getting gifts, putting up decorations, caroling, and many others. Awana was fun. Nothing really exiting
happened today. Well the only thing was gym. In physical education class
we mainly played Dodge ball. When Louise and I were out we made up a
song. It is to the tune of ‘Jingle Bells’. It goes like this:
Running through the gym, with
feet as fast as wind We told Jacinda it and we yelled it out when we were out. I wonder who won?? Probably the boy’s team. Out of Louise, Jacinda, and I, I probably stayed in the longest for the last round. I am not good at catching so I couldn’t catch any. None of the balls were thrown at me so that is one of the reasons why I couldn’t catch them!! The funniest thing is when we accidentally opened the door to the outside!! I say that gym was the better than usual. November 30th Today was Friday. During recess Louise, Jacinda, and I took snow and throw it down the slide than went down. It was very fun and don’t forget fast!! I fell out many times because it was so totally fast!! I wonder what makes it fast?? When you look at a person going down it looks really scary but it isn’t. Once we started many other people started doing it. Usually we don’t start something that many other people will do. This is the most fun of my whole entirely boring day. December 1st Today is the start of the weekend. We had practice for our Christmas Program at church. Chrissy was sick so she obviously didn’t come. When we rehearsed my solo I did great!! I wonder why she chose me?? Momma brought snacks with Dora and Diego cups. Oh well at least they were throw away-able!! We had to practice my in Fellowship hall in stead of the sanctuary. We had to do it in there because Ms. Adrian didn’t know a cord to the keyboard. It took a half an hour just to set the fellowship hall up!! I told Breanna about the foreign exchange student that may live with us for five months. She did not respond in any sort of way. All she did was smile. I say we did better than last week when we started. We knew what to do on all of the songs. The CD really helped!! I am glad that I am involved in this program!! December 2nd Nothing really exciting really happened today except when I went caroling with our church. It was very fun!! We sung songs like ‘Silent Night’, ’Away in a Manger’, ‘We Wish You A Merry Christmas’, and ‘Happy Birthday’ to those people who’s birthday is soon. Linda Brown, Jordan Fink, Noelle Fink, Breanna Fink, Katelynn, and a little bit of me had a snowball fight! When we got back Linda said to the Fink kid’s grandpa,” Look what your grand kids did to me!!” we rode on a Manistee School Bus that Pastor Dan drives. Some how the emergency exit door got opened. I wonder how?? It didn’t open all the way just a little crack. Katelynn, Breanna, and I always rode in the back of the bus. When it started raining Ms. Adrian said,” Have you ever heard of caroling in the rain??” Some people got soaked because of the big puddles. I did not because I was wearing all of my winter gear. Afterwards, we went to the church and had awesome cookies. I asked breanna if she would play a game but before we could we had to leave. It was very fun!! December 3rd Today there was no school. The only thing that we really did today was play outside. When we were sledding I fell on my arm and got it all scratched up. I wonder how? Even though it was outside I was sweating!! Once when Katelynn and I hooked our sleds up together we went under the trampoline of ours!! It was very funny. Not both of us actually went under. I was the only one who went under. When we were heading for the trees I would always jump off and Katelynn would always stay on and just go through the trees. After a while I thought why do I even bother!! Once I stayed on and I ran into the tree!! Katelynn must be very lucky!! Also when we connected sleds we slide!! We slide because one of the sleds wanted to go one way and one wanted to go the other direction. When I went down by myself I swerved around a tree! It was cool. Now Katelynn wants me to show her how to do that. We were outside when it was getting dark so it was kind a scary. I had to tell Katelynn to go inside with me. I am glad we didn’t have any school today.
Anna’s Journal November 27th Today I ate dinner with my family. I had tuna casserole eeeeeeeewwwwwww! Why would anyone ever eat it? It has tuna, and noodles, oh and my mom puts lattice in it. My mom gave me a side dish of salad and I said why do I need it the salad is in the casserole. Eat it all said my mom. I did eat it, but it wasn’t good at all! Well my dinner was nasty, but I can always count on tomorrow. November 28th Today I hung Christmas lights with my family. I got to climb my huge tree. When I was climbing down I slipped! Luckily I landed on a big snow pile. My sister hit me and said great now you have to fix it. I wonder why she’s so mean? Anyway are light looked really nice. Well my day went lovely I hope tomorrows better. November 29th Tonight I had a basketball game. We played really well, and I got the ball a lot. Tawny made the first basket. I tried to shoot but every time I tried I missed! We played MCC (Manistee Catholic Central). I wonder why they were so out of it tonight? Oh! I forgot to say are team won 17 to 12. My coach kept telling me ( get the ball ). Most of the time I did. We have a tournament game on Saturday. We feel really good about are tournament and I hope we win! November 30th It’s my sisters birthday today. For her birthday my mom and I made a cake, but my sister almost ate it all! Erin got a laptop from my grandma. She got a lot of money and cards. I told Erin hurry up and open the card. I wonder who came up with birthdays? That birthday was very fun but I hope next year doesn’t come too soon. December 1st Today we had a tournament game for basketball. Are team won 30 to 12! That was my favorite game ever. If you ask me are team and the other team did really well. My problem was there were no locker rooms so we had to change in the conference room. The worst part was there was a window! The trinity girls were playing with sock puppets on the other side of the window. Why was there even sock puppets in the first place? We yelled at them and said hey stop looking at us. The actually went really well, I cant wait till the next game. December 2nd This afternoon I went on my big hill with my cousin Derek. The hill is next to my house. It’s pretty big. Usually I sled but today I went on my plastic snowboard. I started snowboarding a year ago, well at least on my plastic one. We made a huge jump! Derek kept saying come on Anna go already. I got on the sled and before you knew it I was up in the air. We snowboarded for hours when I came in my stuff was cold and wet. Why does summer have to end? Oh well only five more months of snow. December 3rd Today I played with my sisters boyfriends dog. His name is Buddy. My sisters boyfriend Joerdan found him on the street. Buddy’s mom is a champion show dog! Joerdan said that he opened the car door and he popped in. Joerdan likes to yell at him, he said buddy get over here now. Buddy is a very playful dog. He almost ripped my boot off! I wonder why dogs enjoy chewing on things? Buddy is the cutest dog I’ve ever seen. He’s a great dog and I hope I play with him a lot more.
ANDREW’s Journal November 27 Today we had gym. I was wondering what we were going to play? Gym started at about 1:30. We played dodge ball in gym today. Dodge is played to teams. You play with about ten soft dodge balls. We set up two bowling pins one at one end and the other at the other end. You put the soft balls in the middle of the gym. Then the teacher says ready set go and you race to get a ball. Then you throw the ball to try to get them out. The first time we were playing POW I got out! In the next game I didn’t get out. In the next game we were playing about half way through it I got out. But I got back in about half way through it because someone caught a ball. After that I told Elijah to go and get that ball for me. We won two games and they won two games. I was sweaty after that. That is what we did for gym today. November 28 Today is the 7th and 8th grade basketball game. The game started at 6:00. We got there in time so we could see the last part of the 7th grade game because we only wanted to see the 8th grade game. We were sitting by Nisha, Cady and Cady’s mom. By then the first period has gone by. We were losing by about four points. We were ahead by half time. The third period had started. I BOOED the officials about five times for a bad call! It was tied up by the fourth period. I BOOED the refs about 10 times. I wondered ho was going to win? I told him to give me my jacket. I couldn’t look. We LOST by one point. That was the basketball game! November 29 Today is the Dallas Cowboys at the Green Bay Packers football game. I want the Cowboys to win. The Packers have three points already. The Cowboys have three points too. It is all tied up at three. A field goal is worth 3 points and a touchdown is worth 7 points. Green Bays next peseshiun they punted the ball. The Cowboys kicked another field goal so the score is 6 to three the Cowboys are winning the football game. The Cowboys interseted the ball. The cowboys are almost going to score. The Cowboys scored a touchdown. The score is 13 to 3. The Cowboys lead. The Packers just scored a touchdown the score is 10 to 13. My dad said go to bed. He let me stay up till half time. The Cowboys scored again. The score is 10 to 27. The packers scored. I wonder ho is going to win? The Cowboys won the football game. November 30 Today is the 7th and 8th grade basketball game. Nisha’s sister Lexi is playing. The 7th grade is playing the Chippaws. The 8th grade is playing the Sabers. The game started at 6:00. We won the first game. I told my dad I was going to get a drink. I wondered ho was going to win? The Portagers lost that game. December 1 Today we went to go get a Christmas tree. We went with the Lowe’s. We wanted three trees. We got them from Calvin Lutz. We got an eight footer. We had to cut some of the top off so we could get it in our house. Well they looked for trees we had a snow ball fight. I wondered if we were going to find a good tree? Well I was thinking POW I got hit with a snow ball right in the face! I told my dad to turn on the truck so I could warm up. We got our trees. That’s how we got our Christmas tree. December 2 Today we got a lot of snow over night. We had a snow ball fight. I wondered where our base was going to be? We were going to be on the big deck. Mitchel told Alyssan to make snow balls. The teams were Mitchel and Alyssan against me. I didn’t think the teams were far. I didn’t care though. I was on our big deck throwing snow balls down at them. They had sleds as shields. We played for a while. My arm got tired because I was throwing wet heavy snow at them. They moved there base closer to me. POW they hit me! Mitchel came close and I gave him a white wash. I thought that was really funny. I hit Mitchel right in the butt. Alyssan HIT ME IN THE HEAD! I wondered ho was going to win this game? I had to mercy! December 3 Today we had a snow day. We got rain over night. So we had a ice fight. Instead is snowballs we used ice. We had sleds as shields. I wondered where our base was going to be? Our base WAS ON THE BIGGEST DECK! The teams were Andrew and Alyssan against Mitchel and Rylan. We were team Blue and they were team Red. Our team was team DINMITE! There team was called team stupid our something like that. I told them to change there name. They didn’t do it. We played for a long time. They finally surrendered. We won!
Alexis. T’s Journal November 27 Today I had a lot of stuff to do at school. The first thing I did was tell my mom to get up. She yelled at me to get dressed. So I did and anyway that’s the next thing I did, buts lets move on to what I did at school. So today at school I well the class had a math test. We didn’t have to study because we couldn’t. What I mean is that the only way to study was to take the test and that would be cheating. Well I also had L.A. In L.A we talked about run-on sentences. For our home work we had run-on sentence sheet. You had to find where the period went. To me it wasn’t so hard, but I don’t like that you have to right the right sentence under the real sentence. Well moving on! Today I also had boring Social Study’s. Mr. Neph told us we had a test. What does it mean? It means that you don’t have a test but you still have to work. Well anyway that’s what I did at school. November 28 Today I don’t want to talk about school I want to talk about what I did a home. So here I go! Well when I got home from school I wanted to go outside. Why did I want to go outside its cold? Well I wanted to because I like to build stuff. One thing I did build was a snow man. It didn’t turn out to good. It’s slanted and dorky. I also made well when I went back in of cores get home, but I also made an icy. How did I make it? Well by putting some snow in a cup and than you put soda in it. It’s easy to make but let’s get back to what I was saying! Well I also went outside and tried to make a snow man. I yelled at my dog to stop eating the snow man. I did pretty well but it leans over and looks funny. Before my dog and I went outside I made the couch very worm. Now all I have to wait for my mom to get home from work. Well bye for now! November 29 Today well tonight we didn’t beet MCC. What was the score? Well I’ll tell you! The score was 21 to 29. The coach tolled us that we had the biggest score any team ever got against them! Even though we didn’t win it sure feels like it. We weren’t happy we lost our coach wasn’t ether. We got yelled at by Hailey that we were going to win this weekend. We have a tournament. So I hope we do!
November 30 December 1 This afternoon the 5th and 6th grade teams had a tournament. We (the 6th grade team) won against Bear Lake! We lost against MCC again. We were very, very mad we lost. One girl on the MCC team number 2 stole the ball from me and when she did I ran down the court and hit it right out of her hands. What happened? The ball went out. We still had fun. We’re going to win next Saturday! December 2 Today of course is the weekend! I played outside in the snow. What did I do? Well I tolled my mom we were going to have a snowball fight. She tolled me that she had to shovel first. So she did, but she got tired and stopped. So we didn’t get to have a snowball fight but we did get to play Guitar Hero 3.The game for Wiis. Well anyway when it started to get dark my mom and I made brownies. The brownies didn’t come out like brownies. They came out like cake! Well sorry but I have to stop writing. Bye! December 3 Today since we didn’t have to go to school I got to sleep in! Well I also got to play in the snow. I didn’t though. Why? Well because I didn’t really want to get dressed in the snow stuff. The main thing I did was play the Wii. I also tried to take a nap. It didn’t work though. When it started to be time for my mom to get home I started to make dinner for her and me. Well she’s home write later.
Caitlin’s One Week Journal November 27thToday I went to feed my rabbits at my dad’s farm. My brother said to get the hay. What did you say? I told him to get the hay because other wise he would have to go get the water. When I got down to the pig barn, one of the pigs were standing on the side of the gate! After I got the water I went back to my rabbits. My brother was already at the rabbits. How did you get here so fast? He said there was a square bale of hay that Uncle Stevey must of brought for you to give to your rabbits. So we gave all the rabbits hay, water, and corn cobs. We all ready had the corn cobs at the rabbits. I like feeding my rabbits every day. November 28th Today at recess I played freeze-tag. Who wants to be it asked Hanah? Eric, Devin T. were it. Hanah, Gerald, Anna, Alexis, Kayla k., Taylor, Dani, Julie, Jacinda, Kayla F., Louise, Eric, Sean, Devin T., and I played freeze-tag. It was snowing at recess! When Hanah got frozen she was yelling hurry come untag me! Then Eric tagged me. I yelled help, untag me! Then everybody was frozen, and the whistle blew. November 29thI had a home basketball game today. We played against MCC. Tawny scored the first basket. Then the score was 2 to 0. I got three fouls. On MCC there are 5 fifth graders and 5 fourth graders. I have 10 people on my team. I only scored 2baskets. So I only scored 4 points. I play center and guard. Play center Caitlin, my mom said. What? Play center. Okay. At the end of the game we won. The score was 12 to 17. We all were yelling WOO, WOO because we lost to them the last time we played them. I LOVE PLAYING BASKETBALL!!!!!!!!!!! November 30thI went to see my grandma at the Traverse City Hospital. My grandma’s room number 2511 on the second floor. She had By/Pass surgery, because she had a heart attack. She is all stapled up in the chest. Did it pinch grandma I asked? She said it didn’t pinch. I said WOW grandma! My grandpa, my dad, my brother, and me came to see my grandma. My grandma said she was getting sick of the food there. I said I was getting sick of the food there too. My grandma said she might come home Sunday or Monday if she is ready. Dad let’s go. Justin wanted to go home. I can’t wait till my grandma comes home. December 1stI had my basketball tournament today. We versed Trindy. Trindy has 4th, 5th and 6th graders on their team. I scored the first six baskets. Hailey was center. Tawny was a guard. I was also a guard. Hanah was a forward, and Janique was a forward too. All these were the starting five. At half time the score was 26 to 6. At the end of the game the score was 30 to 10. Did we win asked if we won? Everybody said YES! I scored 12 points. Get me something to drink mom I said. I was so happy we won. December 2ndI went over to feed my rabbits today. It was raining. My brother came to help me feed my rabbits. Go get the water Justin I said. While he got the water I had to go get some corn cobs. After I got the corn cobs I started feeding my rabbits. We hurried. Then we were done. It is hard work feeding rabbits. December 3rd Today was a snow day. There was no school. It was snowing out really bad. It was like hail. I sat inside all day. I got really board. Did it stop snowing, but then it started again in about three minutes? It was a very long day! Gerald’s Journal November 27 Today I was on the bus. It was crazy, loud, and long! I could not take it. It seemed like forever. It was hot and sweaty. I ride 05, and my bus driver is Ruth. I sat next to Jordan. You know what I do? I sit there and listen to all of the big and little kids scream and holler! It is annoying. I sleep or read but mostly I just sit there and hope all of it gets done and over with. Sometimes I’d groan like uhhhhhhhhhhrrrrrrgggg! Sometimes I hope my sister Sarah comes and picks me up. This is what I do on the long, hot, crazy, loud, sweaty bus ride. I tell the little kids to be quite, so I can’t wait till next time. November 28 Today when I got home from the bus; urrg; I got a snack, and then I went outside to play. I played with Jordan. We where going to make a snow fort! I said” I wonder where we start?” Jordan said, ”over there pointing to a snowy spot”. I said, ” Get the snow and roll it up.” After a few rolls of snow it was complete. We added secret spots and places to put are snowballs. It was cool! After that Jordan ‘s mom called out” Gerald Jordan! Both of your dinners are ready!” So we said goodbye and I came home and started on this. November 29 Now today was funny at dinner. I had chili for dinner. It was cold out so it was a good idea. It was yummy! My family and I where talking about when Sarah and I where little. My Mom and Dad were talking about how Sarah would always pop-up in front of the camera with her gaps in her teeth and some ugly pink glasses that give her nightmares. Then they were talking about me. They said when it was Christmas and when they had a tree, I would pull down the ornaments and (accidentally) break them. They also said how I would get so angry I would hop, kick, and scream. So I broke my crib cage. My mom also said she put a fence up to keep me away from the stairs. So I broke them. I wonder how I did it. I would always say “give it to me” or GOOOOOAAAA! He he so I’ve been told. Next my mom said “where are we going to put the tree this year?” UHHHHHH! November 30 Today I was outside playing on ice. I was playing with Jordan, Devin, and Brandon. We went over to Jordan’s house and I slipped. Ouch!! Jordan asked” What happened?” I think I slipped on some ice or something. I wiped some snow off. Whoa! That’s a lot of snow. Jordan said” start wiping the snow off I’ll get the shovel. So we wiped all of the snow and we started to slide on it. We all fell a couple of times but it was funny anyway. No one got hurt, thankfully. After that we where all cold and it was time for Devin and Brandon to go home. So did I. Dec 1 “Well it’s the start of a new month”! I said waking up. I am going to Tucker’s today so I thought I would tell about this morning. This morning was cleaning day. Every Saturday, that is. First I ate some breakfast, brushed my teeth, and got dress. I started off with the usual chore, vacuuming, and then I had to put my clothes away. My sister Sarah with her big glasses and my mom with hers where yelling at me because I wasn’t putting my clothes in the right slot. Your long sleeve shirts go here, your pants go there bla bla bla. They nag on me all the time, but I get through it and everything turned out good. Dec 2 I just got back from Tucker’s house. Boy am I tired. We stayed up till 3am, and this was the first winter storm. I sled down Tucker’s hill. We also played his WII! Then we came back in. Paula, Tucker’s mom, asked,” do you guys want chocolate chip cookies! Yes please! Ok then sit down and I’ll give you some to You. After that we where crafting with Tucker’s mom. I was board so I made something for the cat to ware on it’s tail. Then I made a little poem book about Christmas. But I left it at his house on accident. I had fun at Tuckers house and I was to go again Dec 3 Today was a snow day. Yeah! I woke up at 7:40am., thinking uh! I missed the bus and why didn’t mom wake me up. Then I remembered that there was snow and it was probably a snow day. I woke up and my mom was like SNOWDAY YEAH! HI FIVE! I said what? Hi five Gerald my mom said. So I hit here hand and said yeah. That freaked me out so I went and turned on the TV. My mom said to wake Sarah up at 9:30.OK. When It turned 9:29 I went up stairs and yelled wake up!! Sarah!! Then all of a sudden I see a monster walking across the balcony and down the stairs. Sarah said to get some breakfast and do the chores. Here we go again! Well Mrs. Bennett it was fun writing this week and I hoped you liked it.
Payton’s Journal November 27 I like dogs, their my favorite animal. I had two and got a new one. I wonder if dogs can do flips? Dogs are vary funny and cute except for some are ugly and vicious. I told my dog to roll over. Dogs are the coolest pets in the state of Michigan! I love dogs they’re so cool. November 28 Today in math we corrected our math test. I got well not a grade I just tried to correct the ones I got wrong. I kind of don’t like math! I wonder if I really put my mind to it I would not get bad grades. I told Mrs. Brown to give me my grade. Math is the hardest subject yet, I think anyway. November 29 Today in social studies we did a sheet on explorers. I asked the teacher what did Desoto do or explore? I told the teacher to come help me. I hate social studies! I love language arts though! Science is ok to. November 30 Today in school we got our basketball sign ups. Basketball is one of my favorite sports! I wonder if I can shoot full court shots? Basket ball is like a friend. I told my mom to sign my basketball sign ups. I love basketball it’s awesome.
December 1 December 2 Today it was pretty much work day well for me and my dad. I had to shovel the side walk and drive way and I had to split a little bit wood! I asked my dad if I would get allowance from him? I told that this is hard work. I don’t like working. I like working if there is money involved. December 3 Today school was canceled. I love when schools canceled. I get to sleep in way more. I wonder if school will be canceled tomorrow? I told my dad my school was canceled. I think I like school better when it’s canceled no offence.
Hanah Keeps a Journal November 27 Today turned out to be an awesome day! After school my mommy picked me up and we went to Manistee. It was fun. My mommy was really weird and goofy. I wonder why she acts like that? Anyways we went to a lot of stores. I got tons of stuff. We mainly went because my friend has a birthday coming up. My mom couldn’t help it, and she also went Christmas shopping. Finally we had food! It was yummy and insanely good. We also got a CD by Alicia Keys. We were gamin to it on our way home. Personally I had an amazing day. November 28 Today I couldn’t wait! I was supposed to go hunting with my daddy. T was waiting and waiting for him to come and get me. I wonder why he has not come yet? It is 5 o’clock and it’s getting dark. I was staying at my grandma’s. I told her I want him to come, but I did not say it mean. Well know it is even getting darker outside. So it might be to dark to go hunting now. I am not mad at him. Well I got to go eat dinner good-by. November 29 Today was our last home game! The other team was mostly all fourth graders. There were all fourth graders because they did not have enough fifth graders. Last time we played them we lost. This time we won but not by a lot. They played good and so did we. Our hole team was very sweaty especially me. Oh yah I forgot to tell you the team that we played, we played Manistee catholic Central. Janique spilled some water and she said Hanah come with me. I hope she did not spill it on purpose? I am positive that she didn’t. Well dinners ready and I have to go by-by. November 30 Today was a boring day. I got home from school and I had to go to Onekama again. We have to go for a recognized night for the girls basketball team it was kind of fun! I said to my mom I do not want to go. I don’t even know why I don’t want to go? Well when we got there we watched JV play, and then we got recognized. The varsity team made a tunnel like, and we went through. That was kind of cool. Again I have to go, my mom is making cookies and she needs my help. Later. December 1 Today is my friend’s birthday. Her name is Mikayla Johnson. I call her Mookayla and I don’t know why? She said to me one time Hanah STOP, but she was just kidding. Well we went to the Great Wolf Lodge, it’s amazing! When we got there we hurried up and got into our suit and went swimming. Mikayla and I had the best time at Great Wolf Lodge. Well sorry but I have to go we are going swimming. By-by. December 2 Well today is Sunday and I just got home from Great Wolf Lodge. Tonight at 8 o’clock we are watching Extreme Makeover Home Edition. This one family has a disease, but only the kids have it. I don’t know why? One girl has to get a fed from a tube because she cannot eat. There are four children .The disease is very rare the Doctor said. There house is making them even sicker because the air has lots of germs, and the house is falling apart badly. So the Makeover team builds a new house in seven days! I am glad those people are helping other people in need. December 3 Today school was canceled. I was so happy! My daddy came in and told me I said awesome go tell mommy. I was half asleep and half awake, so I didn’t mean to sound rood. I didn’t want to get up and do my daily routine at all. I don’t know why? Well guess what I got up anyways that was kind of not cool. This morning was not that great. I am happy and excited that school was canceled, but my day was boring. I got to go by-by.
Janique’s Journal November 27 Today at 6:30 pm I went to my brother, Jarrod’s cub scout pack meeting. When we got there they already started the meeting. I sat down and Jarrod started kicking me. I told him to quit kicking me. It didn’t work. I was getting so bored sitting there and listening. I wanted to yell ahhhhhhhh! I kept asking my dad what time is it? Finally the meeting was over. I was so glad to get out of there. November 28 Today I made a friendship bracelet. It was pretty easy! When I had to cut the string I told my mom to hold the other end of the string. I used red, yellow, dark blue, and light blue string. I still didn’t decide on who to give it to. Every so often I asked my mom how much longer it needed to be? When I got done with the bracelet it turned out great! It was really exciting making a friendship bracelet. November 29 Today at 5:00 pm I had a basketball game. It was really exciting. I play forward. Forward is a position under the basket. Hanah, Hailey, Tawny, Caitlin, and I started the game. I kept yelling to whoever had the ball pass it! Half the time they wouldn’t pass it to me. If there was a time out, or if it was right after half time I would ask Susan or Randy, our coaches which side are we on? They would tell me if we were on offense or defense. We ended up wining the game. All of the parents were congratulating me and saying that I have been getting aggressive. Our team did a great job on our last game. November 30 Today the 5th grade girls basketball team had recognition night. Recognition night is when they call your name and you run out. We had to be at the school between 6:00pm and 6:30pm. When I got there the J. V. was playing. I sat and watched the whole game with Megan. When it was time to line up I asked Randy what do we do? He told me exactly what to do. When we ran out everyone was yelling woooooo! After we ran out Randy ran out, and everyone was laughing. After that we were able to leave, but I stayed for the game. I had a great time. December 1 Today I had a basketball tournament. It was pretty easy. I started the game for the second time in a row. We played against Trinity Lutheran. Everyone on their team was short! If the referee called a foul on us and he shouldn’t of Caitlin would yell hey! One time when she yelled I told her to stop yelling. Hanah asked her why are you doing that? We won our tournament! Now next Saturday we have another one. I love playing basketball! December 2 Today I went sledding on our hill with my brother, Jarrod. It was really fun. When he was in front and if we were going to run into something I would yell steer! Steer! He would say I am. One time when he was steering we hit something. He stopped and I went flying. I almost hit a tree, but I stopped myself before I did. I told Jarrod to go get mom. When he came back I heard my mom ask are you okay? I said I can’t see you I think I went blind. Then I opened my eyes. I had a fun yet scary time. December 3 Today I didn’t have school so I didn’t do much. The one thing I did do was go sledding down our hill with Jarrod again. The first time we went down it was really icy. The ice would break, and it was really bumpy because it was our first time down. We kept yelling ow, ow, ow! A couple of times Jarrod would sit in front and I would sit in front, and I would run and push. Then I would jump on the sled. One time we flipped over. Jarrod said get off of me. Then I got up and asked what happened? Then we went inside because it was freezing outside. We had a great time.
Julie L.’s One Week Journal. November 27 Today is the 27th a Tuesday. We did a science experiment right in the morning. My friend Hanah and I were partners. We were measuring mass with a box, 2 pieces of string, and a rubber band. We did it on ruff and smooth flooring. There were 6 slots so we did 6 items. They were a metal ball, a magnet, a quarter, a sharpi mini, an empty box, and a calculator. That’s it. Bye!!! November 28 Today is the 28th of November and the funniest thing happened! We went down a dirt road and the car went crazy! We went this way and that way! OK now listen because here comes the funny part. We were going up a hill and the truck stopped. We got scared! We stared rolling backwards, but just a little bit. Now this is why we got scared because on both sides it was like a big snow bridge! Oh hey and lots of trees. We only got out because we had 4 wheel drive, but if we didn’t have that I don’t know what we would have done. Well that’s my story today. Bye!!!! November 29 Today we had our last B-Ball game. We played at home. We creamed them! As soon as we started we made 4 points and we weren’t even 20 seconds into the game! I got to play 2 periods. I got really tired. After the game I wore only a little sweat shirt because I was so hot and sweaty. Also Hailey and Tawny got $20.OO from their grandpa. Oh hey I for got to tell you that my Grandma (we call her Oma) and Papa came. Then after that we went to Pizza Hut and we met my Daddy there. So that was my game! Bye!!!!!!!! November 30 Today is a Friday and I got dropped off at my grandma’s gas station, but later after that Hanah came and picked me up and we went to recognitions night. When we got their we went up and sat with Alexis and Kayla .K. and we got snacks. Then watched the J.V. game. At the end they called our names and we stood in front of the crowed. I was the first one in the 5th grade line because Caitlin and Anna were not their and we were going in line by numbers. Anna was 3# and Caitlin was 10#, and I was 12#. After that my daddy picked me up and we went home. December 1 Today we had our first tournament. We won the score was 30 and them 8. We all were so happy. Even I scored 2 pts and got the ball away from someone. I got to play 2 periods in a row. I think. Well I cannot think of anything else to tell you. Bye!!!!! December 2 Today we went shopping. We were almost out of food, but we made it till today. We didn’t do much but we went to Ponderosa. I had an 8oz. grilled prim rib and the buffet. The only thing I didn’t get was a glass of Mountain Dew. Well that was pretty much my day. Bye!!!!! December 3 Today I got sick. Well we called it that. Every time I stood up I got dizzy and had to sit back down. I had a really bad headache too! That’s about it because I couldn’t go any were. So bye!!!!!!!
Jacinda ‘s Journal for 1 week (Nov. 27- Dec. 3) November 27 Today is Tuesday. I get to go to a bible study. A bible study is when Jehovah’s Witnesses get together and study the King James Version of the bible. We do this so than we can learn what the bible teaches and be able to apply it in our lives. We always learn something different every week. I wonder what were going to learn this week? I bet it’s going to be something awesome! At the bible study they ask questions from a book and we get to answer those questions with that same book with the info. They give us. (Our own book that is.) My mom tells me to answer a lot. I look forward to tonight. November 28 It’s Wednesday today. I love Wednesdays, but, today is the most boring Wednesday of all Wednesdays. Right now, I’m in study hall. I bet you already know what it is so I’ll just come right out and say/write this. If it weren’t for this project, I would die of bordiness! If there’s even such a thing as that word. Is there such a word as “bordiness”? Anyway, anyway I’m sitting next to Anna and she doesn’t seem to have my problem. Mrs. Zajac is helping someone and she’s making a lot of noise. I can barley even write this paper it’s so noisy in here, but its still (in an odd enough way) very peace full. I have to keep telling myself, GET BACK TO WORK!She is still talking (Mrs. Zajac). I want to tell her to be quiet but I can’t. I hope tomorrow will be more exciting. November 29 Well today’s Thursday so I would think that it would at least a bit more exciting but, to my surprise, it wasn’t. My recess was the shortest recess I’ve ever had in a long time. First, Mrs. Cook blew the whistle so I, Kayla, and Louise went inside. Then we noticed that no one was coming in so we went back outside again. Then, she blew the whistle again. We thought that she was just trying to get some ones attention so we just kept playing. After that, we got scolded because we were supposed to be inside. We hurried inside so we wouldn’t be late for class. Our substitute told us to get in the classroom, pronto. I wonder why she was so (well, I can’t say mean so I’ll just say) cranky? A few other people were out in the hallway too so I don’t know why she just yelled at us. Well, that was the worst part of my day, and I hope that it will never happen again. November 30 My morning was really hectic! My alarm clock didn’t ring in the first place so my mom had to wake me up. Then my dad left for work. About 15 minutes later my dad called. When my mom hung up I asked her, “What happened?” then she told me that dad’s car ran out of gas and that she needed to go pick him up. She called Daniel (my brother) and told us both that we needed to get out to the bus on time. A few minutes after she left it was time to pick go out to wait for the bus. We went out. The bus isn’t used to picking us up so he went his usual way and didn’t pick us up. We called mom and she called the school. The bus driver had to come all the way back from Bear Lake to Arcadia to us up. We were a little late when we got to school but there was another bus that was late too. Thank goodness! I thought that I was going to be walking in the classroom while everyone was in their seats and they’d be staring at me. I can’t imagine it happening again. December 1 I really didn’t do anything today. As you may know, today is Saturday and Saturdays are suppost to be fun, but today is not fun at all (at least not at first). I had to take care of my little sister. She is a pain! All my brother had to do was help my mother move around stuff in mom’s room which isn’t really doing anything because most of the stuff is to heavy for him to pick up. Why can’t I just do have that job? It’s better than taking care of Nalani (nah*lah*nee, my little sister). She screamed a lot so my mom told me to try to calm her down, which was pretty much impossible. I tried to play things like painting, drawing, and playing with her Dora cards but nothing would calm her down. Then I did something that I haven’t done before and never thought I would have to do before, I brought out, the Barbie’s. It wasn’t really all that bad so I don’t know why everyone is making such a big deal about playing with Barbie’s. We played for a really long time. Then I read her a few books in my bed and then we both fell asleep. Right then she seemed like the best girl ever. December 2 Today is Sunday. I usually go to my church, which I call a Kingdom hall. My dad said that we might not go because the roads were icy and it was really snowy out. So I spent my day at home. I didn’t do much today. Today I didn’t have to take care of my little sister. I mostly watched TV. My brother played on the computer. I wonder how he could play that long without getting bored. I told him to get off a lot, but he wouldn’t listen. I just watched TV all day because of him. I would like to play though. I’m so mad at him because I really wanted to play! Anyway, back to the TV. I was watching the food channel. My favorite one to watch was Emerald Nogosly or something like that, because he is really funny. I had a great day. December 3 Today I had no school. I kind of wanted to go to school because there is nothing to do at home. My mom and dad had to go to work so my brother and I had to stay home. We mostly watched TV again but I didn’t watch the cooking channel again because it was making me hungry. I had to do the dishes. Well, my brother washed them, but I put them away. My mom tells him not to put knives in the dishwasher. I guess he forgot. I stuck my hand in the dishwasher to get a bowl and I got cut by that knife. I screamed ouch! I asked him if he put the knife in there. I knew he did though. I didn’t tell mom and dad though. It’s just one of those things that aren’t that important. Well, not as important as your whole finger getting cut off! It doesn’t look to bad, so that’s good. Next time, I’ll pay attention to what I am doing.
Kayla K.’s Journal November 27th Today we had gym! It was fun. We had to do are exercises. Once we were done with that we got to play dodge ball. I got some people out but not a lot. I told Alexis to guard the pin. I wonder what we will play on Thursday? Well anyways today was a blast! November 28th Today we had School Store! There were a lot of things to pick from. Some things were squishy frogs, mechanical pencils, and some jell pens. I bought 2 flamingos that looked really cool. They were $2.50. We do School Store during reading. I told Megan I had enough money t get 2. I wonder what there will be next time we go? Today was really fun. November 29th Today we had a basket ball game! We played MCC. We didn’t win but it sure did fell like it. It was really fun. I told Alexis to guard number 4 because she was open. I hurt myself by tripping. I wonder if we will beat them next time we play against them? Anyways today was a great day. November 30th Today we went to a basketball game! It was a Varsity and JV’s game. They played MCC. I told Hailey and Tawny to scream loud. I wondered if my cousin was there because she goes to MCC? During the Varsity and JV’s we got introduce. We had to run through a tunnel and slap their. They said Alexis’s last name rough. It was scary! Today was a blast! December 1st Today we played two games! We played Bear Lake and MCC. I scored 10 points in both games. I told Hailey she did really well. I wondered if we will have to play them again? I hurt my foot after we played MCC. When I got home it was Sami and Tori’s Birthday. Today was fun even though I hurt my foot. December 2nd Today we played in the snow! The snow was really soft. My sister and I started to build an igloo but we didn’t finish it. I told Kelsey that we would finish it later. I wondered when it will be done? We also went sledding. It was fun! Well anywise, today was great. December 3rd Today we had another Birthday party! It was my cousin’s Keith. We had cake and ice cream. Also my Grandma made pumpkin cake. I my Aunt Rachel when we would do presents? I told Kelsey and Blake to settle down because they were jumping all over the place. Brandy, my cousin’s dog was running around too. Then when we left Brandy was sleeping in her bed. On the way home we got to stop at Burger King and get a slushy. I got Blue Berry. It was yummy. Today was really, really fun!

Journal November 30 Today for church we rang the bell for the Salvation Army. We got over 200 dollars. We rang it for about 2 hours. It was freezing because we had to do it in the entry way of Olsons. (Which has no heat.) Luckily Mrs. Paine gave us hot chocolate ad cookies. Still I wondered, why can’t we go inside? Mrs. Paine told us it was because the bell was too loud so it would disturb their business. Anyway I was really happy and it felt really good to help other people. December 1 Tonight was our second performance! It was a blast! I thought last night was better though. That’s partly because tonight not everybody was there. My “sister” wasn’t there. I have a duet with girl named Syriah. I play a townsperson and a fruit seller. (That’s when I have the duet.)I say “the plumpest of plums”. Anyway I don’t want to give away too much. December 2 Tonight we went to a nativity scene at the Norwalk church. We sang songs and watched them. Only the people didn’t really move or talk. The narrorator did it for them. I’m only writing a little bit because the scene was only a little bit long. It was short but sweet. December 3 Snow day!!! Today I slept in until 10:00. My dad made pancakes for breakfast. Then, later, at about 4:00, I started to make a Christmas present for my cousin Amelia. I thought of things that she likes. Finally I thought of something. So I asked my mom she would help me with her sowing machine. So we sowed a bottom and we sowed sides. After that we sowed on a strap, ribbon to tie it closed, and a pink flower button. Can you guess what it was? It was a purse! It looks so great! I love making things for others.
Megan’s Journal for one week (Nov 27 – Dec 3) November 27 I like doing science experiments! Today we did an experiment. The experiment was about friction, inertia, and force. We had to use a box, string, rubber bands, rulers, and all sorts of objects. I was partners with Taylor. I told Taylor to go get string and a rubber band and I would get the box from Mr. Neph. We had to put an object in the box. Then we would tie a rubber band to the string and tape the string on the box. Then we would pull and see how far the rubber band would stretch. I asked Taylor if she wanted to go first? She said yes. The experiment was fun. November 28 I don’t like going to the dentist. I say that because today I had to go to the dentist. I had to be there at nine thirty, and that meant I got to miss the first half of school! It was really cold outside so when we got to the car I told my mom to turn up the heat. When we got to the dentist I asked what time is it? So I got my teeth cleaned and I had no cavities. I got back to school before eleven. It was an O.K day. November 29 Today we had a basketball game. It was at five. We played against MCC. We won the game but I forgot the score! It was a good game. After our game it was the 6 grader’s game. I asked my mom if I could stay for the 6 graders game? She said until half time, and I said O.K. In the stand stands I was saying go white and make a basket and stuff like that. So that was how our game work. November 30 I like to help out in class. Today I helped in class to sort out books. It was mainly Alexis, Janique, Kayla, me and Anna sorting out the books. What we had to do was put books in the same series or if they were just the same book. Janique and I would look in the book shelves and we would call to Anna, Alexis, or Kayla to put a book in a pile or make a new one if there wasn’t already a pile. I would say something like I found Sarah Plain and Tall or I found a book put it in that pile. Sometimes I asked if there a pile for this book? I was so excited when we had gotten a lot of books done , but we still had a lot of books left. That’s how I helped out in class. December 1 Today we had a basketball game. It was at Trinity in Manistee. We played at eleven or eleven ten I not sure when. The game was a tournament. I played as a forward. For the last couple of minutes I had to be center! I had no idea what I was doing. We ended up winning the game! At the end I asked my mom if we got a trophy? She said no. I had an awesome time. December 2 Today was a Sunday. There is absolutely nothing to do on a Sunday! That’s why I hate them. Today I didn’t do much. The main thing I did was watch scary movies. The other thing I did was write a book report. Sometimes I asked what time is it? Other times I would just lie down. One time I said go get the remote. Those are some things did on a boring Sunday. December 3 I like when we have days off of school! I say that because today we didn’t have school today. So my dad and I went to Manistee to get my mom a birthday present. We went to Kmart to get her a gift. I asked what are we going to get her? He said gloves. When we got home we put the gloves in some birthday bags and gave them to her. I told my sister to take this bag and I would take this one. We gave them to my mom and she said thank you! That’s how we got my mom’s birthday present. |
