Dear Mrs. Bennett, I like being in your L. A class. My homeroom teacher is Mr. Neph. My favorite subject is social studies. My least favorite is English Language Arts. My friends are Devin. C ,Devin. t Jon Eno, Andrew Clarke, and Jordan Coe and Russell Smith. I do sports too. The sport I am currently playing is football. Some wishes I want is better grades, I am not doing to good with grades. I don’t know why but I am kind of getting bad grades. My grades are C’s D’s and I think a E. That is my wish that I want. Dear Mrs. Bennett, So far in the fifth grade I have had a lot of fun. My home room teacher is Mrs. Brown she is awesome! My favorite subject is Language Arts and math. I like math because its fun to do and it’s a little complicated. I like Language Arts because you do not have any tests and I like to write things. My least favorite subject is social studies. I don’t like social studies because its kind of boring. Well anyways my best, best friend is Julie she is awesome. Sometimes Julie and I get into trouble because we talk a lot then we get a warning. Yikes I know. Another problem I have is the school lunches. Anna brought in a t-shirt for people not to eat the school lunches all that signed the shirt protested. It was very brave of Anna. Guess what the shirt idea really worked. A lot of the fifth grade bring their own school lunches know. I also play fifth grade basketball. My coach is Mr. Kott. I love basketball. Dear Mrs. Bennett, I am in Mrs. Brown’s class this year. My favorite class is math. Math is my favorite class because there is lot of multiplying and dividing. My least favorite classes are social studies and. I don’t like social studies because there is a lot of quizzes and reading. My best friends are Gerald, Andrew, Jordan, Payton, Tucker, and Danielle. My wishes for 5th grade this year is to get A’s and B’s not C’s and D’s. My favorite sports are football, soccer, and baseball. I am planning on doing quiz bowl this year. My favorite special is P.E. Dear Mrs. Bennett, I am going for strait A’s throughout the whole year of 2007 and 2008. I have never had a B on my report card in my life. It shouldn’t be too hard because on my progress report for math (which is also my favorite subject) I got strait A’s for all the assignments for those weeks. I am very confident of myself because I know I can do it because it has happened before. I find the content in Michigan very easy compared to Kentucky’s. In Kentucky we took a test that we had been preparing for, for the whole school year. It was the hardest test I had ever taken in my life but I easily made it through the test in about two plus weeks the test was called the C.A.T.S test. The only thing I worried about besides the C.A.T.S test was Madelyn Story, my arch enemy. She was the only competition for me, the smartest kid in the fourth grade. She was not as smart as me in math, science, social studies, practical living, or English but she put up a fight in the dreaded Language Arts. Little did I know that she was getting the same grades as me in language arts? I know that I can get A’s if I try my hardest and put my mind to it. I’m looking for A’s at this school but I’m not so sure that I can do it as well as I used to even though I know it is pretty easy to get them here and I probably will. That is my goal for this year and I hope I make it. My least favorite special is band because playing my big old trombone winds me very fast and easy. My favorite special is gym because it is fun, active, and gets us out of language arts class. My only problem is getting to school every day because we have to drive to the Dial-a-ride station every morning and get on the bus that goes to Onekama Schools. It’s a long bus ride which is useful for getting home work done, playing your Game Boy, and catching up on sleep in the morning. My friends are Gerald, Jarett, and Devin Tolin. I play on the Boys Manistee soccer team and I am part of the Manistee soccer club also, it’s a lot of fun but some times the coach is awful (really she’s always awful but I’m used to it). Dear Mrs. Bennett, This year of school is going great I am in the 5th grade. I go to school at Onekama Elementary. My homeroom teacher is Mrs. Brown. She teaches math for 5th and 4th grade. The subject that I like the most is math. The other that I like the most is Mr. Neph teaches science. I switch four times a day. My wishes are to have very good grades in school. My hardest class is Language Arts. My problems are because I am not a very good writer. I have five specials. My favorite special is P.E. in P.E. we play games Mr. Bromley teaches that. I’m going to play basketball the potion that I like the most is point guard. I want to be in book bowl too. My brother was in book bowl so, I want to be in book bowl too. I want to be in quiz bowl too. My friends are Jon, Elijah, Payton and Jarett. My best friend is Jon Eno he plays football, I don’t play football, Jon plays for Manistee. My lucky number is 11. Dear Mrs. Bennett, I am in Mr. Neph’s class this year. In fifth grade my favorite subject is science. My favorite subject is science because we get to get on the lab tops and we get to do a lot of fun experiments. My least favorite is definitely math. I like Mrs. Brown as my math teacher but I am not very good at it. I definitely like Language Arts. My best friends in fifth grade are Cameron, Devin .C, Katie, Sean, Eric, Elijah, and Aaron. I hope I get good grades on my report card. My favorite special is art because we can do all this painting, Using oil pastels, and when ever I free draw the teacher really thinks I am creative. I don’t think that I am going to do the quiz bowl or book bowl. I am not in any sports or activities in fifth grade. Some of the problems that I have been having is that I am not very good in math. Another problem is that the school lunches are’nt very good but the only thing I like that the school makes is cheeseburger. Being in band means that I have to carry a trombone to class up stairs every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. That’s all I have to say about my fifth grade year so far. Sincerely
Dear Mrs. Bennett, I am in Mr. Neph’s fifth grade this year. At Onekama elementary school. my favorite subject is science because we learn about animals and more nature things. My least favorite subject is math because I don’t understand all the things about it. The only thing I have problems with is division. I like the math teacher not the work that involves in it. My second favorite subject is language arts because it is very easy to me at least that is something I’m pretty good at that at least. I love my gym time because it’s better than any class although it is hard to do I still like it a lot. My most best friends are Devin T. ,Devin C. , small (Lawrence) Jarrett and smeagle. Dear Mrs. Bennett, This year in 5th grade is going to going great. I am in Mr. Neph’s 5th grade class. He is an awesome teacher. My favorite special is gym because I get to play fun games I don’t like speed ball though. My least favorite class is social studies because I don’t like don’t like sitting there for an hour. My favorite class is Science because I really like experiments. I like L.A. just as much as Science because there are no test and the O.L. is very easy. The L.A. Meap test was the only hard thing because you have to write and read lots of stories you wouldn’t be able to pass it is you didn’t look back . My best friends are Payton, Russell, Devin T., Gerald, Jordan, Aaron, and Jarett. My wishes for 5th grade is to be on the book bowl team and the quiz bowl team after Christmas and make my math grade better because I forgot to bring one paper in. Dear Mrs. Bennett, This year of school in fifth grade is going great. I have Mr. Neph as a teacher this year, I think he’s really cool. My favorite subject is science and Language arts. I like science because I like doing experiments and I like Language arts because I like writing and just what we do their. My least favorite is social studies I don’t know why I just despise that class. My best friends are Jordan, Russell, Devin c, Andrew, Hailey, Tawny, Gerald, Hannah, and Julie. I’m going to play boys basket ball I think after Christmas. I’m joining a book bowl team and I don’t know if I’m joining a quiz bowl team but I probably will. My favorite special is P.E. and music I think their really fun. I wish I could get my grade up in math its just a little to hard for me and I’m not doing to good, but it was fun last year and this year I don’t know what happened this year maybe its just my sleep. Dear Mrs. Bennett, I am in Mrs. Brown’s class. My favorite subject is ELA. My least favorite is reading. I hate it so much because I do bad in it. I love ELA because it’s fun, easy and there is no test. Besides the Iowa and Meap. My best friends are Tucker Laws, Jordan Coe, Devin Cromwell, Jon Eno and Payton Bartley and Cameron Blevins. My wish is to make it to the 6th Grade and to get good grades. J One Probablem is I have homework and practice so I don’t get good sleep. I’m also in football. It is fun!!! I am doing Book Bowl when it starts. I am reading a book bowl book for reading. I am not doing Quiz Bowl, I don’t think I am at least. I like 5th Grade a lot and it is fun. Dear Mrs. Bennett, I’m having a lot of fun this year. I am in Mr. Neph’s 5th grade this year. I would say that my most favorite subject would be math. I really like to do multiplication and division. I don’t really like to do subtraction, but I don’t have to do very much of that this year, so I don’t really care. Another reason I like it is because I have a really nice teacher (Mrs. Brown) who is really funny and explains the direction well enough for me to understand. My least favorite subject would probably be social studies. I don’t like it because I have to memorize a lot of names, places, Indian tribes, state capitals. We aren’t doing state capitals right now but you never know. It might sneek up on me some time this year. It is also very, very, very boring. I mean all I do is sit and read about the Indians and Chirstopher Columbus. I mean, How do they expect us to like this stuff. We also have a lot of tests. Its kind of hard for me because I hardly have any time to study (, but I usually pass anyway). I have a lot of friends but my really good friends are named Kayla and Louise. We do lots of things together. We play lots of, well very interesting games and when I say interesting, I mean interesting ( such as fairies, Sahara, witch is a game that we made up were we have different quests and we use our powers to try and solve them, ect.) We also like to make up songs and sing them. I don’t know about you but I think that it is really fun. My goal in school is to keep up my grades in school (witch is an average A). My biggest problem so far is that I’m afraid that some of my friends might not like me, and just thinking about this makes me have a bit of trouble with my work. There is also a thing called book bowl but I don’t think that I’m going to do it because I don’t have a team to be on. Your

Dear Mrs. Bennett, I am in Mrs. Brown’s 4th/5th grade split class. My favorite subject is Language Arts. I like Language Arts because it is a lot of fun and Mrs. Bennett is a great teacher. My least favorite subject is math because I don’t under stand division. My best friends are Louise, Tawny, Hailey, and Taylor, Anna. My favorite special is gym because I like sports. The sports that I play are soccer, basketball, softball, baseball, and sometimes tennis. My wishes are to get really good grades in all my subjects. My problem is that I don’t get enough time to do my home work because of all the sports I play. I am going to do book bowl. I hope book bowl will be very fun. Dear Mrs. Bennett, This year has been great so far. I’m in Mr. Nephs class. My favorite subject is math or Languge Arts. I wouldn’t normally like math accept Mrs. Brown makes it fun. Languge Arts is fun because I love to write. My least favorite subject is social studies. It’s kinda boring. All you do is read about history. My best friends are Kayla, and Jacinda. We play really interesting games at recess. We play games like fairies, Sahara, (Which is a game we made up), And we also make up songs and sing them. I don’t really problems besides wondering if my friends really like me any more because it feels like some of my friends one day they like me another day they don’t. Dear Mrs. Bennett, This year I am in 5th grade. I am in Mrs. Brown class. I love her as a teacher! I have 2 favorite subjects it is math and Language Arts. Why math is my favorite subject, is because I am good at and Mrs. Brown is very funny. Why I like Language Arts is because I like to type and write. My least favorite subject is science because it is so boring, and Mr. Neph sometimes has anger problems. Also my best friend is in my school, grade, and class. Her name is Hanah. We have been best friend’s sense preschool. I have a problem its talking I can not stop talking. Another problem I have is I hate the schools food!!!! Because I always get sick from the food. Some wishes I want is to get all A’s and B’s. A sport I am playing is basketball. Our coaches are Randy Kott and Susan Zielinski, and I want to do the best I can on every we do, and if I am not get a C- or higher I am kicked off the team. Dear Mrs. Bennett, This year in 5th grade I am in Mrs. Brown `s homeroom. I want to be really good in quiz bowl. Also I want to be really good in book bowl. I want to enter in both of them. I like the buzzers in quiz bowl. I’m really good at reading. That`s why I want to enter in book bowl. I also like the questions in quiz bowl. I also like the rest of school. My favorite special is band. In band I play a trumpet. Our band teacher’s name is Mrs. Gram. She is very nice. The amazing thing is that she is also my Sunday school teacher at my church! Also she leads the sanctuary in singing. I have many friends at school. They are Courtney Madsen, Devin tolin, David Swanson, Tiffany Kinn, Taya Pyscopink, Eric Heckman, Taylor Mallison, Mariah Rushing, Emily Hipensteel, (Also known as Emily Hayes). My wish is to have better grades on math than last year. Last year I went from an A to an A- to a B to a C. lucky for me that was last year! My problem at school is homework. That is my problem because usually my family and I are out somewhere other than home. I don’t do sports I think I’m not good at them I really love school. Dear Mrs. Bennett, I am in Mr. Neph’s 5th grade class this year. One of my least favorite subjects is Math. That is my least favorite because, to me it is sometimes confusing or I just can’t do it no matter how I try. My Favorite Subject I guess would be Language Arts because it is actually pretty fun and Mrs. Bennett is the nicest teacher in 5th Grade. My Best Friend is Gerald because I have known him since I was very small and puny. Some of my other friends include Megan, Alexis, Jon, Alexis, and a whole bunch of other people. One Wish I have is to finish all 13 Lemony Snicket Books. I’m on the beginning of the 10th book and to not fail and get to the next grade. JJ I am thinking on doing Book Bowl but I am not sure. Dear Mrs. Bennett, I’m in Mr. Neph's class he is really cool! I have a lot of friends this year some of them are Caitlin, Hanah, Julie, Megan, and many more. My favorite class so far is math, I think math is fun yet your learning something. My least favorite class social studies it’s a little boring. I’m in 5th grade basketball this year it’s exiting and I’m finally learning how to do a lay up. My wish this year is to get better grades in all my classes this year, especially E.L.A. My favorite special is gym, it gives me lots of energy. My problems are I don’t get a lot of sleep at night so I cant pay attention. Yes I’m not doing book bowl, I might do quiz bowl probably.
