Volunteering at the Salvation Army

| I went to the Salvation Army. It was fun. I had to fill baskets. That is what we did. ~Keith | I went to the Salvation Army with six classmates. To get there we rode a bus. I sat by Hunter in the tenth seat. It took about thirty minutes to get there. When we got there we were introduced to the people at the Salvation Army. Then we went down stairs to start packing baskets. We packed five hundred fifty baskets. ~Ryan | When we got to the Salvation Army we filled baskets with food. I liked filling the baskets with food. We filled 550 in 2:17. At the end we ate pizza and a drink. ~ Ethan |

| I worked behind the table a long time. My favorite part was when I worked behind the tables. We had so much fun I wish I could go every year. ~Alyssan | On Friday the 14th my friends and I went to the Salvation Army. There were people named Pat and Commander Joe. Commander Joe told us about the Salvation Army. We packed 550 baskets in two hours and fifty minutes. Commander Joe said that it was a record. When we were done we got pictures by a big tree. Then we left. ~Hunter E. | My job was to push boxes. I had to crush boxes with Jarred. I at least smashed 187 boxes! After we got done we got a free power aid and pizza. | We bagged 550 baskets. It was fun. we Started at 9 o'clock and ended at 12 o'clock. We had lunch of pizza. ~Courtney | When we went to the Salvation Army we had to load laundry baskets with food. Only 16 kids went. I was a kid that went. There was a lot of food there. There were a lot of baskets too, around 550. It took two hours and seventeen minutes. At the end we got pizza and juice. ~Braden | My friends and I helped at the Salvation Army. We packed 550 baskets of food. I had a Gaterade. I had a lot of fun. ~Randy |

| Last week I went to the Salvation Army and got food ready for people that could not afford the food. We got to use laundry baskets. I liked the table that you can give anything you want to. ~Madison |
We went there to help poor people. We started
with small basket and then did big baskets. We took nine people from
Mrs. Bennett's class and seven from ours. We had sixteen people all
together. Alyssan Clarke and I got to work behind the counter. It was
hard work. After that we all got pizza. I had orange juice. ~Ashley |
What we had to do was pack food into baskets. We made 550 baskets full of food. We all had a good time. It was so so fun to go. At the end we got our picture taken be a big tree. ~Lacee |
