Officer Schneider Visits Mrs. Catanese's Third Grade Class |
On every Monday in
Oct/Nov/Dec we have a Michigan State Police Officer named Trooper
Schneider come in and talk to us about safety and stuff. When he was
here recently he talked about fire and stranger safety. When he talked
about fire safety he brought a smoke detector and set it off when we
were noisy. ~Kyle Officer Schneider is a very nice person. He always remembers our names. He stays until 11:00. Officer Schneider told us about peer pressure. He told us about an experament. Here is the story: There are ten people in a group. There are 10 groups. The teacher tells nine of the people in each group to say the wrong answer. One person in each group has to make a decision. If they copied their friends and said the wrong answer, that would be peer pressure. He told us we are special because we are different. No one is the same as anyone else! No one has fingerprints as you do. Officer Schneider told us to say NO to drugs. He said, "Your friends will be the ones that offer you drugs!" Drugs are alcohol, cigars and tobacco. I really like Officer Schneider. ~Kiara Mrs. Catanese's class is
special. We have a special person that comes to our class. He is an
officer. He is a nice guy. He has a cool belt that he wears. He has cool
things on him like a night stick and pepper spray and a gun and hand
cuffs and bullets. He likes being a police. Officer Schneider comes to Mrs. C class on Monday and teaches us a lesson. When someone you don't know asks for directions don't go near them because they can jump out and grab you and take off. If someone offers you drugs just say no. The reason you should say is because it is bad for your body. ~Austin Officer Schneider comes to our class on Mondays. He talks about things like fires and strangers and all that. On Monday he talked about fires. He said fires can be dangerous. Next Monday he talked about strangers. He told us never to talk to strangers. Next he talked about fingerprints. He said nobody has the same fingerprints. ~Toni I hate cigarettes and drugs because it's bad for your teeth and your body, plus you. When somebody says hay come on try this stuff say NO I'm not trying this stuff. Don't ever offer me this stuff again. You shouldn't even try it. It's not a good thing. It's actually gross. ~Xana Mr. Schneider let us see his equipment. He showed us pepper spray, a night stick and a lot of other things. He showed us his belt and badge. He told us what the badge meant. I have a lot of stories to tell him. His belt is shiny. He didn't spray the pepper spray. ~Cambria Officer Schneider is a good Officer. He tries to help us. Officer Schneider is a good teacher. He teaches us about fire danger. Never play with fire. He told us not to take drugs. Drugs are bad to take. Alcohol is not good for you. ~Matt |
For safety he taught us not to breath in smoke because you would fall asleep in faint. If you are in a fire you should open a window and yell for help. Plus you can get some fresh air. If your bedroom is low you can jump out of the window and get to your meeting place. ~Tighe
There is a cop that comes in my classroom. His name is Officer
Schneider. He told us if our house is on fire take rugs and cloths and
put them under your door. If a cop comes to your house when there
is a fire tell the cop where you meet.
Officer Schneider is a really nice guy and teaches us a lot. One time he talked to us about peer pressure. He told us peer pressure is when some of your friends do something that you don't want to do but you do it any way. He told us what some college people do for a peer pressure test. ~Jarrod |
Officer Schneider
comes to are class every Monday. He tells us important lessons like peer
pressure and other stuff. Officer Schneider is a State Police Officer.
He tells us stories about safety. When we grow up we will be offered drugs. I am going to tell you how to say no to drugs. You say: I AM NEVER GOING to do that and DON'T EVER OFFER that to me again! We are all different in different ways. By our finger prints we are different by are hair is different and our faces. Officer Schneider has a bunch of equipment. he has badges, a gun, tazar, pepper spray and a 2 way radio. He also showed us his hand cuffs too. ~Lauryn
Mr. Schneider is a
very nice man. He comes on Mondays to talk to us. We had an officer come in October. His name is John Schneider. He had handcuffs, pepper spray, night stick, a gun, and a badge on his shirt. He taught us how to say no thank you and walk away. He also taught us about fire. Fire is very dangerous to things. Most fires start at night. If you get out of the house and your mom, dad and brother are out there go stand by them because if you are standing somewhere else your parents will think you are inside and firemen would go in and they could die. The most important thing is never hide when you are in a fire. ~April Officer Schneider
teaches us different things every week. He works at the Michigan State
Police. There is a man named Officer Schneider. He is a very nice man. I like him. He is a policeman. He comes to my school. He talks about fire safety and stealing. He had a friend . He was sleeping. At 2:00 AM all of a sudden a fire started. Then he woke up. Then his family went outside to the back yard. He noticed his brothers weren't there. So he went back in and never came out. That is what he said. Then he talked about stealing. He said there was this kid that stole keys from a car and hid them in the bushes. ~Talia Now I'm going to talk about peer pressure. Peer pressure is where you know the right answer but you say what everybody else says. A few days ago our class learned about peer pressure. It was very weird. I think peer pressure is tempting. ~Kelly Jane Mrs. Catanese's class is special. Officer Schneider comes to see us. He teaches us. He talked about fire safety. Get out of the house in a fire. Stay out of the fire. You say no to drugs. They can kill you. Alcohol, drugs and smoking. He has a lot of stuff. He has a gun. He has pepper spray. ~Jacob |
