We took a trip to Bowen Creek to release the salmon we raised.

My opinion of the salmon project was that it was great. It was kind of sad in the end. It was kind of good that the salmon got to see what their home looks like.

On May 8th the third graders went to Bowen Creek to release our salmon. We started preparing to release the salmon after lunch. Mr. Hughes and Mrs. Catanese helped us get the salmon out of the tank. On the way there were dandilions with bees on them. Grace found a baby painted turtles. It had pretty markings.

In 20 minutes we were there! All of us got out of the bus and ran and ran! The water temp was 50 degrees! Just what we needed! On the count of three we all released the salmon! Then we threw sticks in the water and fished them out! Plus everyone got all mucky! My opinion is our fish will have a good life!

To get the salmon out of the tank you had to let the water out. To get the water out you had to use a tube. It's like a vacuum so it takes out the water. After we got the water out we went to Bowen Creek. After we let the salmon out I fell in the river. My opinion is we learned a lot about salmon this year.

Mrs. Catanese, our teacher, called us up group by group to get our salmon. Taler and I were last. I got 11 and Taler got 9 fish.. When we found a spot by the river we sat down. I put the fish in the water. Then all of a sudden my knee slipped into the river and some fish got out. Then we released them all.

After lunch we started putting the 171 salmon into Ziploc bags. Now everybody had a bag of salmon. We got on the bus and then we walked and found the creek. First we had to dunk the bag in the water. Second we had to open the bag. Third we had to release our salmon. It was a very awesome day!

I had 5 fish and I had to babysit the fish on the way to Bowen Creek to release our salmon. My opinion of the salmon project is responsibility. My class has learned lots from the salmon. We learned to feed the salmon.

The third grade went to Bowen Creek. The water was about 50 degrees F. I had 16 fish in my bag. There were 171 salmon we released. The nice salmon hated the sun. I put them up to the sun and they all stared at me. My opinion about the salmon project was it taught me a lot. It showed me that the fish in their eggs actually moved. We had fun times with the salmon.

We went on the bus to release our salmon. When we got to the creek we set our bags in the water so the fish could get used to it. Then on the count of three we let them go. After we were done we were playing in the creek but 5 people fell in. It was gross. I was one of those people. After that we found a tunnel and there was a side where you could catch the sticks. So we did that. We got a large stick and sent it down the creek. My opinions are it was an adventure because you could see fish up close without them swimming away. ...Kyleigh Mrs. Catanese and Mr. Hughes scooped the fish out of the fish tank and put them in a zip lock bags with some water. We got on the bus and went to Bowen Creek. Grace and I found a turtle. It was awesome. I learned the fish have to be in 50 degree water.

My class and I went to release our salmon. The reason why we released the salmon is because they needed to be in a bigger home.. We released the salmon at Bowen creek. Bowen Creek is in Arcadia. We put the fish in a ziploc bag. The reason why  they needed to be in a bag is so they couldn't get out. Our principal helped us. He helped us because our teacher needed some help. I want to tell you that we left the salmon in the stream because they needed to be out in the stream.
