Mrs. Niederstadt's Class These pictures are from two tribes activities. The first activity was called "Barnyard Babble." I whispered a barnyard animal into each student's ear. Each student needed to become an animal. They couldn't use words only their animal sound to find their animal family. ~Mrs. N |

Some students got right into their animal because they were down on all fours making their animal sound. Two animal groups found each other: Dogs and Chicks.
The dog family consisted of Faith, Sammy, Aric, Sylvia N., Chloe and Brandon.
The chick family consisted of Colin, Blake, Kelsey, Erica and Mason. Both animal groups were awarded prizes from the treasure box.
Once all students were in their animal family, they needed to complete another tribes activity called Tower-Building. Each animal family was given ten pieces of paper and a roll of masking tape.
They were to build a tower from just these supplies. They had to work together to design their tower and assign jobs.
Working together is hard work. The attached pictures are of the Tower-Building activity.
