The Seventh & Eighth Grade Quiz Bowl Competition was held at Brethren School & included five teams from Manistee County Schools

Brethren Team Takes First Place

Brethren defeated Trinity Lutheran, (85-  -15) in the final round of this year’s Manistee County Middle School Quiz Bowl Competition held at Brethren Middle/High School on Thursday, March 13^th to defend their title.

Brethren’s team is made up of 8^th graders: Captain, Aaron Hillsamer, Dylan Richardson, Danielle Brenner, and 7^th graders, Alex Marsh and Joe Riggs.  They are coached by Mrs. Julie Riggs.  

Trinity Takes Second Place

Trinity Lutheran defeated Brethren in the first final round 135-100 resulting in a second final match since Brethren had not lost a match all day in the double elimination competition.

Onekama Took Fourth Place

    Yesterday was fun I really like it that I got to go. On the team was Kyle, me, Elizabeth, Alex, Emily Barnard, Brandon, and Sean. We started the very first round and we won against Manistee. Then we lost our next round to Brethren. I wasn't very bad. Then we played Trinity Lutheran. We lost to them too. Then we were out. It was fun though. I really like playing basketball there. I also really like the ride in the car. I really look forward to next year,

Dear Mrs. Eldridge,
on Thursday we went to quiz bowl at Brethran. We won our first game against Manistee pub then lost against Brethran. When we played Trinity we lost by 10 points which got us eliminated. After that we played basketball for a while. When Brethran beat Trinity for the finals we left. On the way back it was so funny. That was the best part of Quiz bowl.
