Miss Schultz Parent Letter

Thursday, September 14th, 2006

Dear Kindergarten and First Grade Families,

We continue to get acquainted with one another, develop and practice our rules and procedures and we are starting to have a nice classroom community.  Kindergarten has started their alphabet study with various activities for the letters Aa, Bb, and Cc.  First grade has been reviewing the letters and sounds, practicing journal writing and reviewing sight words.

Please pardon the delay for those of you eager to join us in the classroom.  I plan to work on a volunteer schedule next week.  Please look for the schedule in your child’s Thursday folder next week.

I have included a morning snack schedule today.  Please take note of the day you are to bring morning snack for our class.  We have 19 children.  Please be sure to provide a healthy snack like apples, cheese & crackers, yogurt, et

On Tuesday, September 26th we will walk to the Onekama Public Library.  Please complete the library card form on both sides.  The library card form enables your child to receive their very own library card.  Throughout the school year, we will visit the library to check out books.  The library card will be kept here at school and your child will be able to take it home at the end of the year.  If your child already has a Manistee Public Library card, then please send it in to school.  If your child lost his/her library card, then the library charges $1.00 for a new card.

Sincerely,

Miss Schultz
