Miss Schultz Parent Letter

November 2, 2006

Dear Kindergarten and First Grade Families,

This week the kindergarteners studied the letters Rr and Ss.  We continue to practice counting and recognizing numbers.  We worked specifically on the teen numbers this week.  First graders have been reading The River from our basal series.  They learned about the question words who, what, when, where, why and how.

Our first marking period conferences begin next week Thursday.  The students will be dismissed early that day (12:30) and conferences run from 5-8.  There will be no school Friday so that conferences can take place from 8-11.  If you have not made an appointment, please call Mrs. Bergren at 889-9674.

Please be sure your child comes to school with weather appropriate clothing.  Our mornings are very cold.  Please be sure to send a warm coat, hat and gloves every day.

I would like to thank all the parents that helped out at our Halloween party.  We had great food, crafts and games.  I really appreciate all the help.  I know the kids had a wonderful time!!

Sincerely,

Miss Schultz www.onekama.k12.mi.us/e2007/gk-1/
