Dear Kindergarten and First Grade Families,
First grade started a new reading series called Creepy Crawlies. They will begin bringing home the following books: Try, Try Again, All in Fun, and Grasshopper and Ant. This week they learned to read The Itsy Bitsy Spider and they completed a variety of activities. The Kindergarteners learned the nursery rhyme The Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe and they learned words with the following beginning digraphs: ph, ch, th, wh, sh, and blends cr, br, fr, gr, tr. Thank-you to all of you who donated food to the food pantry! We have a few hefty bags full of stuff. First graders will be in charge of donations in a few months. Our elementary is performing in a folk and partner dance recital with Mrs. Eichberger. The program will take place in the gym at 2:20. Our class needs to wear jeans and a white t-shirt. If you are available at this time please stop by and see them. There were about 6 students who were unable to check out books at the Onekama Public Library on Tuesday. The books were renewed, but please be sure to return them as soon a possible so that your child is able to get a book this month. Have a wonderful weekend! Stay warm!
Sincerely,
Miss Schultz |
