Cooperation
Jacinda

I have to cooperate with my friends in school (at recess). When my friend Kayla and I go outside to play we don't know what we want to do. So we start to think of something to do. (Like teather ball, jump rope, monkey bars, basketball, soccer, or just playing on the jungle gym.) Once we think of something to do we tell each other (because we can't read each other's mind). Then we decide whose idea we want to do. If Kayla doesn't like what I want to do and she wants to do her idea and I feel the same way well thats when things get pretty hard. We both either have to think of something else to do or just do hers that recess and do mine the next recess. By cooperating we both got something to do.

I cooperate every other day with my brother to get things done. When we do the dishes we have to agree on who does what. Jarrod usually does what he could reach. Believe me that is not a lot! Sometimes Jarrod forgets to do some dishes. So I have to remind him. We usually do the dishes every other day. I wish we only had to do the dishes once a week. The only part I don't like is we don't get an allowance! Once in a while I do the dishes all by myself. Doing the dishes can sometimes be fun. It all depends on how you look at it. Sometimes we zoom right through it because our favorite T.V. show is on. When we cooperate we get things done fast.

Cooperation
Louise

Cooperation doesn't always happen at school. I know because this is a story about uncooperation at school. You see I looked at the board and under washing tables was my name. I worked hard until school was almost done. It was 2:45. "Wow" the day went by fast. "Louise" I got up went to the cleaning cupboard and got out a spray bottle then started washing. I washed the first table and then the second. There were 9 more tables. Just then I overheard a kid asking if he could wash "his" table. The teacher said "I guess it's alright." Then he took a spray bottle and washed his table. Then I saw him going over to my table. He put a spritz of water on it. I screamed "STOP"! Mr. K ran over to see what was the matter. I started to cry. "He washed my table." Mr. K. went to get a bottle of glue. He put it all over my part of the table. I washed it off. I realized it was a waste of glue. I felt really bad. It was silly of me to cry over such a little thing. That was a time I did not cooperate.

My mom and I cooperate to get things done. One day I got home and I was hungry. When my mom came home I rushed to her and said, "I want to eat dinner now." She said, "Okay what do you want to eat?" Okay that's when the cooperating starts. So my dad got home and I was still thinking. Then my mom asked my dad what he wants to eat. He said, "I don't know." Then I told my mom to pick herself. She picked spaghetti. So we got the spaghetti out. Well, I got the spaghetti out. My mom started boiling the water. My dad had to study for a thing for work. Then we had to let the water sit for awhile. When it was done starting to boil we watched TV. It wasn't good TV but I lived. Then finally we got to cook it. When it was done cooking it had to sit again. When it was done sitting it was still hot so we put it in th efrig. Then we ate it. It was the best spaghetti ever! I love cooperating! It's fun and I got to eat sooner than I would if I didn't help.

I cooperate with my friends. Last year the whole 3rd grade had to have a bake sale for a class trip to Sleeping Bear Dunes. We cooperated by earning money. Some people had to skip lunch or P.E. or sometimes recess to work the sale. My friends and I took turns being the money collector. We also had lots of stuff to sell. We had ice cream, cookies, and brownies. A whole table of stuff! The whole 3rd grade was having so much fun!  It was a blast. We earned enough money to go to Sleeping Bear Dunes. We all cooperated really good. We learned how to be a good cashier. My friends and I all learned how to be better at cooperating.

My sister and I don't cooperate together. I don't know about you but my sister drives me nuts. Every time we clean together we get into fights. She does one thing and I do another thing. It's annoying I tell ya! When we do different things every thing gets to be a mess. Everyday I pull her hair then she pulls mine. It hurts! Then she bosses me around and I don't listen and she gets mad. One day I was sweeping, being a good thing, my mom started to compliment me. Sarah got jealous and another fight started. I'm tellin ya this fight was the biggest one yet. What happened was that my sister got tired of cleaning and babysitting me. But my mom didn't care she wanted her to baby sit me and clean and clean and clean. I think the cleaning and cleaning cleaning part was annoying too. It's funny how I'm involved in this fight a lot. Well my sister can be annoying. U well...I mean she is annoying, but though we don't always cooperate, I love her.

Cooperation
Kayla F.

Cooperation doesn't always happen at my house. One day after school in the 3rd grade I was watching T.V., then my sister Katelynn, asked me if I wanted to play with her. I said no. So then she went away. I knew she would stay away, but not for long.
After 15 minutes she came back asking me if I wanted to play with her again. I said no again. Then she shut the TV off. "Hey, what did ou do that for," I said. "You won't play with me so I shut the TV off," answered Katelynn.
So I got up out of my chair and said, "Please turn the TV back on."
Katelynn was guarding the TV so then I couldn't turn it on. "No!" she said. "Mom!" I yelled, "Katelynn won't let me watch TV." "Katelynn," she said, "Let Kayla watch her show then Kayla will play with you." "OK," said Katelynn.
After the show I watched was over I played with Katelynn. This happens once a week. Even though we don't cooperated, we still love each other.
