President Monroe
Payton

President James Monroe was the 5th president of the United states. He served 2terms,March 3rd, 1817 to march4rth 1825. Monroe graduated from William and Mary. Monroe was born April 28th, 1758 in Westmoreland county Virginia. His occupation before president was a lawyer. He was married to Elizabeth Kortight and had three daughters and had one son but he died young. He was the first president to ride a steam boat . James Monroes   religion  was an a Episcopalian. Monroe was the third Virginia Regiment in continental army. James Monroe’s daughter was the first daughter of a president to be married in the White House in 1820.Monroe had died in 1831 New York, New York, on July 4rth at the age of 73.

President Pierce

Franklin Pierce was the 14th president of the United States. He served as president for 4 years = 1853-1857. Franklin. P was born on November 23,1804,in Concord, NH. He married Jane Means in (1806-1863). Two months before Franklin took office, he and his wife saw their eleven year old die in a train wreck, its sad isn’t it. Franklin was a lawyer and a public official before he was president. Episcopalian was his religion. President Franklin’s Political Party was Democrat, Franklin at age 24 was elected to the New Hampshire legislature; two years later he became it’s speaker. During the 1830’s he went to Washington, first as a Representative, then as a Senator. Pierce, after surveying in the Mexican War, was purposed by New Hampshire friends for Presidential nominated in 1852. Franklin had to make gestures toward exertion to the wrath of acting as a cats-paw of southerners eager to extend slavery into other areas. Franklin Pierce was 5 feet 10 inches he was tall! By the end of his administration Pierce could claim “a peaceful condition of things in Kansas.” Pierce died October 8,1869, in Hillsborough (now Hillsboro), New Hampshire.   

President Tyler

John Tyler was the tenth president of the United States.  He was president for 4 years from 1841-1845. His nickname was Accedential President because he became president when his predecessor William Harrison died. John was born on March 29,1790 in Greenway,Virginia. He married Letitia Christian Tyler in 1813. She became con fined to an invalid’s chair and died during John’s presidency. After that he married Julia Gardiner in 1844. John studied law at William and Mary college In 1807. He was a lawyer before he was president. Also he was a U.S. senator. His religion was Episcopalian. He was part of the Whig party sometime later he was kicked out of it. He was the president with the most kids(15). John loved to play the violin. He died January 18,1862 in Richmond, Virginia.

President Kennedy

          President John F. Kennedy was the 35th president of the U.S.A. President Kennedy served as president for 2 years, 1961 -1963. John F. Kennedy had the nickname J.F.K. J.F.K was born on May 29th 1917 in Brookline MA. He Married Jacqueline Lee Bouvier in 1929. John graduated from Harvard college in 1940. Before Kennedy was a president he was a Auther, Public Offical ,and a journalist. J.F.K. is a Roman Catholic. His political party was a democrat.

J.F.K. was the yougest president! Wow! After Kennedy graduated he went to the navy. In 1943 when Kennedy’s PT boat got rammed and sunk by a Japanese guy, Kennedy despite his injures, lead the survivers to safety. John F. Kennedy’s favorite food is new England clam chowder. He enjoys sailing, swimming, and football. J.F.K. died on November 22 1963 in Dallas Texas.

President Madison

          James Madison was the fourth president of the United States. James Madison’s nickname was Father of the constitution. James Madison served as a president from 1809- 1817.James Madison was married to Dolly Payne Todd. He graduated from college of New Jersey Princeton University. He was a Lawyer. When he left office there where 19 stars on the flag. He went to religion Episcopalian. He was born on March 16, 17511 in port Conway, Virginia. He died in June 28,1836 in Montpwlielier in virgin. He had a pet Macaw (a parrot). He did Democratle republican. He help frame the bill of rights. James favorite food is ice cream. James Madison does not have kids because Dolly/ Payne/ Todd did not want kids. James Madison was noun he was the ‘’Father of the Constitution ‘ James Madison enjoyed being a lawyer and he stop and he enjoyed to be a president. He liked being a president.

Andrew Johnson

Andrew Johnson was the 17th president. Andrew was the president from 1865-1869.Andrew Johnson was born December 29,1809 in Raleigh, North Carolina. He was married to Eliza Johnson. The two facts that I found were that Andrew’s wife taught him how to read and Andrew never went to school. Andrew Johnson had a lot of jobs. His political party was Republican. If Andrew Johnson was alive today he would be 198 year old. Andrew Johnson died July 31,1875 at Carters station Tennessee. Andrew Johnson was a good president.

 

President Garfield

President James A. Garfield was the 20th president of the U.S.A. He served as president for 8 years. He didn’t have a nickname. James was born on November 19, 1831,and born in Orange Ohio. He was  married to Lucretia Rudolph Garfield, and had seven kids  but two of them died. James  Graduated Williams College. James was a      teacher, public official. He was a Disciples of Christ. Political  Party was Rephlican. Interesting Facts was James A. Garfield the 20th president . He was married ones ,and had seven kids. James had two of his kids died before he died. James died on September 19, 1881 in Elbberon New Jersey.

President Gerald Ford

          President G. R. Ford was America’s 38 president. His years served as president were 1974 to1977. Gerald’s nickname was jerry. He was born July 14,1913 Omaha Nebraska. President Ford’s wife’s name was Elizabeth (also Betty) Warren. They had four children named Michael, John, Steven and a daughter named Susan. His Education was that he graduated from the University Of Michigan. Ha also was a lawyer. His religion is Episcopalian. His political party is Republican. President G. R. F Grew up in Grand Rapids, MI., then went to the University of Michigan. Then was on the University of Michigan’s football team. Then went all the way to Yale were he began Republican politics. Then during World War II he ranked the lieutenant of the navy. His dog is named Liberty. Also his sports are golf. jogging. sailing, skiing, swimming, and football. He was also vice president. President Gerald Rudolph Ford died recently on December 26 ,2006. 

President Johnson

          Andrew Johnson was the United States  seventeenth president. He was president from 1865 – 1869. He was born on December 29th,1808 in Raleigh ,North Carolina. Andrew Johnson married Eliza McCardle. His Political Party was Democratic. Andrew Johnson was apprenticed by a tailor as a boy. In 1862 Aberham Lincoln asigned Johnson milatary govener of Tennessee. Andrew Johnson died on July 31st, .1875, in Carters Station Tennesee. 

President Van Buren

President Van Buren was the 8th president. The years he served were 1837-1841. His nicknames were The Little magician and The Little Red Fox of Kinder hook. He was born on December 5,1782 in Columbia, New York. He died on July 24,1862 in New York . He was married to Hannah Hoes Van Buren. He had no kids. His Education was  in  kinder hook Academy. His Occupation was a Lawyer. His Religion was Dutch Reformed. His Political Party was democratic. He died in the same state he was born. He was the first president born a U.S. citizen.  President Van Buren  was a good Prsident.

President Franklin Roosevelt

Franklin Roosevelt was the U.S. 32nd president. He served 2 terms as president from1933-1945. His nickname was FDR. Franklin was born on January 30, 1882 in Hyde Park, New York. He married Anna Eleanor Roosevelt. He graduated from Harvard College. His job was public offical, lawyer. Episcopalian is Franklin Roosevelt’s religion. He was a Democrat. Franklin Roosevelt got polio when he was 39 years old. He led during Drepression and world 11. Franklin Roosevelt died on April 12, 1945 at warm springs, by Georgia.

President Hayes

President Hayes was the 19th president of the United States. He was president from 1877 to 1881. Hayes’s nickname was dark horse –president. He was born in 1822 in Ohio. Hayes married Lucy webb ware Hayes. They had two kids together. He went to Kenyon College and Harvard law school. Hayes was a lawyer before he was a president. He had no formal affiliation. President Hayes was a republican. He was wounded in the civil war and became general. When he left the office there were 38 stars on the flag. Rutherford B. Hayes died in 1893 in Fremont, Ohio.

President Harding

          President Harding is the 29th president of the United States. He served from 1921-1923. He served one year because he had a heart attack. His nickname was Wobbly Warren. He was born on November 2, 1865 in Corsica, Ohio. President Harding married Florence Kling de Wolf Harding and had no kids together. He played every instrument except the Slide Trombone and the E-Flat Cornet. Harding graduated at Ohio Central College.  He was a News Reporter, an insurance sales man, and a news paper publisher before he was president. His religion was a Baptist, and his Political Party was Republican. President Harding had a dog and enjoyed horseback riding and golfing. He also served as a U.S. Senator. When Harding left the office there was only 48 stars on the flag. He was the first president to broadcast over the radio. Then he died on August 2,1865 in San Francisco, California.

President Regan

          President Regan is the 40th president of the U.S.A. His nicknames are the Glipper and the Great Communicator. He served as president through 1911-1989. He was born on February 6,1911,he was born in Tapioca Illinois. He married Jane Wyman and they had two children together their names are Maureen ,and Mitchell and then she passed away in 2001 then he married to Nancy Davis.  He graduated from Eureka Collage {1932}. Ronald’s Occupation is he was an actor, and then worked in a public office. Disciple of Christ was Ronald’s religion. His political party was Republican. He was shot then he recovered and returned to his office. He was the oldest president, and then he passed away in the year 2004.

President George H. W. Bush

George Herbert Walker Bush was our 41st president. Bush served as president for four years, 1989 to 1993. George Bush had a nickname he was called Poppy. Bush was born in Milton, Massachusetts on June 12th 1924. George is 82 years old. Bush has not passed away yet. George Bush was married to Barbara Pierce Bush. George and Barbara had six children. Their names were George, Robin, John, Neil, Marvin and Dorothy. One of Bush’s kids named Robin died as a child. Bush graduated from Yale University in (1948). Bush was a businessman and a public official. George’s religion is a Episcopalian. George’s political party is a Republican. George Herbert Walker Bush joined the armed force at 18 years old. Bush was the youngest pilot in the force when he got his wings. Bush fought 58 missions during World War 2 . On one mission Bush was shot down over the Pacific and was saved by a U.S. submarine. George is a lucky man. 

President Taylor

          Zachary Taylor was the 12th president of the United States. He served as president from March 5th, 1849 to July 9th,  1850. Taylor’s nicknames were Rough and Ready. He was born November 24th, 1784 near Baroursville, Virginia. Zachary Taylor married Margeret Mackall Smith from 1788 to 1850. He had no formal education. His occupation was a soldier. Taylor’s religion was an Eiscopalian. His political party was a Whig. He was taken as a baby to Kentucky and he was raised on a plantation. Zachary Taylor spent a quarter of a century policing. He got sick and after a July 4th celebration by eating cherries and milk. He died in his office on July 9th, 1850.  

President  Lincoln

          President Lincoln was our sixteenth president.  He served from 1861 to 1865.  His nicknames were Illinois  Rail-splitter , or more popular Honest Abe.  He was born on February 12th 1809,In Harden County, Kentucky.   Lincoln was married to a woman with the name of Mary Todd.  They were married from 1818 to 1882, and had four boys.  Lincoln didn’t have a formal education, but loved to read at home.  Before he became a president he had an occupation of a lawyer.  Lincoln had no specific religion. His political party was a republican.  Lincoln made efforts to be knowledgeable, while working on a farm, splitting rails for fences, and keeping store in New Salem, Illinois.  On January 1st he made a promise to free those slaves forever.  His mom died when he was nine, so that was pretty hard. He had his favorite hobbies, which kept him busy.  He liked to wrestle, and absolutely loved to read.  Lincoln had two favorite foods.  They were a fruit salad, and cheese with crackers. He had a really nice pet horse.  Now, back to the real stuff.  There were 36 stars on the flag when he left office.  Most exciting, he the tallest president.  He was 6 feet 4 inches, but sadly he died after being shot at ford theatre in Washington by John Wilkes booth, an actor.  Honest Abe was a very caring and “honest” president.

President Rutherford B Hayes was the 19th president of the United States of America. Hayes served 4 years as a president. His nickname was Dark-Horse President. He was born in Ohio in 1822. He married Lucy Ware Webb Hayes. They had no children. His education is that he went to Kenyon Collage and Harvard Law School. Hayes’s Occupation was a lawyer. President Hayes had no specific religion. President Hayes political party was a Republican. Rutherford B Hayes fought in the Civil war. He was a governor for 3 terms. He died in Vermont, Ohio in1893.

President Adams

          John Quincy Adams was our 6th president. He served as president for 4 years, from March 4, 1825- March 3, 1829. Most people also call him Old Man Eloquent for the passionate fights he made at the White House. He was born in Braintree, Massachusetts (now called Quincy) in the year 1767.  Quincy was married to Lousia Catherine Johnson Adams and had 4 kids. His only daughter died young. The other children’s names were George, John, and Charles. He was educated in fact he graduated from Harvard. Before he was president he was a lawyer and once Secretary of State. He also was the Ambassador of the Netherlands and Great Britain. His religion is Unitarian. His Political Party is Republican. John also had some pets and they were alligator and some Silk Worms. Also John Quincy Adams is the first president whose father was a president. He sadly died at age 80 on Feb. 23 1848. He died because of collapsing on the floor from a stroke in the White House two days before. Poor John Quincy Adams is dead but he is resting in peace.

President Grover Cleveland

President Cleveland was the 22nd and the 24th president of United State of America. Grover served as president two different terms through 1885-1889 and 1893-1897. Grover was born March 18,1837 in Caldwell, New Jersey. He was also one of nine children. He married 21 year old France Folsom in June 1886. He had no children. He was the only president married in the whitehouse. Grover was a lawyer. He was also mayor of Buffflo and also in New York he was government. Presbyterian was Grover’s religion. He’s Political Party was Democrat. Grover Cleveland died June 24,1908 in his home Princeton. New Jersey.

President Harrison

          Benjamin Harrison was the United State’s 23rd president. He served as president from 1889-1893. He was president in-between Grover Cleveland’s turns! Benjamin had a nickname “Little Ben”, because he was only 5 ft and about 15 inches. He was born on August 20, 1833 in North Bend Ohio. Benjamin married Corline Livina Scott Harrison. His education was Miami University , Oxford Ohio. He was a lawyer before he was a president. Presbyterian was Benjamin’s religion. His political party was a republican. Benjamin Harrison was the grandson of William Henry Harrison. He also conducted one of the first ‘”front-porch” campigans. He died on March 13, 1901 in Indianapolis.

President Andrew Johnson was the 17th president.  He served as president from 1865 to 1869.  He was born on Dec 28.1808 in North Carolina.  Andrew Johnson married Eliza Mccardle Johnson.  He had five children.  He was a tailor and a public official before he was a president.        He had no formal religion or education.  He was a Demacraite.  His wife taught him how to read.  President Johnson was 66 when he died. He died on July 31. 1875 in Tennesse. 

President Jackson

          Andrew Jackson was the 7th  president. Jackson served for president from1829-1837. President Jackson nickname was old hickory. Andrew Jack son was born on March 15 1767, in Waxhaw, South Carolina. President Jackson married Rachel Donclson Jackson. Jackson was a lawyer and a soldier. President Jackson’s religion was Presbyterian. Jackson political party was Democatic. Jackson’s favorite food was pancakes. There were 26 stars on the flag when he left. In a duel he killed a man who cast an unjustified slur on his wife Rachel. Andrew Jackson died June,8th  1845 in Nashville, Tennessee.  

President Washington

          George Washington was the United States first president. He was president1789-1797. His nickname was Father of His Country. George Washington was born on February 22,1732 in Westmoreland County, Virginia. He married Martha Dandridge Washington in 1732. George Washington did not attend college but studied at home. George Washington’s job was planting and being a soldier. His religion was Episcopalian. His political party was a federalist. President Washington’s favorite food was fish and ice cream. He liked to go fishing and horseback riding. George Washington’s pet was his horse named Nelson. On December 14,1799 in Mount Vernon Virginia George Washington died of a throat infection.                                                   

President Roosevelt

          Theodore Roosevelt was the United states 26th president. Theodore served as president from 1901-1909. Theodore’s nicknames were TR, Trust Buster, and Teddy. Teddy was born on October 27, 1858 in New York, New York. Teddy married Edith Roosevelt. He graduated in Harvard College. Teddy’s jobs were an author, lawyer, and public official. His Religion was Dutch Reformed. Teddy was a Republican. In addition, when Theodore was president he was forty-three but he was, also the youngest president in Nation history. Theodore struggled against ill health. Teddy was the first to ride in a car while president. He liked Boxing, Hunting, Riding, Jujitsu, Shooting, Tennis, and Wrestling with honor and respect may he Rest. In. Piece.

President Adams

          John Adams was the 2nd president of the USA. He was president from 1797-1801. John’s nickname was “ Atlas of Independence.” John was born on October 30, 1735 in Braintree Massachusetts. John Adams was married to Abigail Smith Adams but he did not have any kids. He Graduated Harvard college in 1755. He was a lawyer. John Adams religion was Unitarian when he went to church. John Adams was a Federalist. This talk about John Adams good things about him. During the Revolutionary war he served in France and Holland to. Adams was second as vice President. Here on July 4, 1826, he whispered his last words when Adams died in the war between the French. John Adams died on July 4, 1826 in Braintree, Massachusetts.
