William's Journal November, 15 Today in language arts I was watching Haley. Every time she smiles it makes me laugh! Then I asked Sami K, do you want to read my story? She said sure. Then Brittany T. said let me read it. November, 16 Today I beat my Go West game! It took a while. Then Mrs. Ramsey said shut down your computers. I asked right now? I’m happy I beat it. November, 17Today after school I went hunting. We were sitting there my dad said don’t move. I asked him why? After a while I said this is getting boring! We came home without a deer. November, 18 Today I played Blockus with my dad. My sister kept skipping my turn! I told her to quit skipping my turn. She asked why? Blockus is fun. November, 19Today was boring. I sat on the couch and watched TV. My dad told to me go read a book. I asked for how long? He said 20 minutes. That’s a long time! November, 20Today we went to band. Band is boring. It was so boring I almost fell asleep! The teacher said get out your instrument. Why do we have to go to band? Haley's Journal November 15 (Wednesday) Today was not very fun. Cady and I started as friends and then started to fight. Cady said I treated her like crap! Lexi, Sami-K, and I said to each other how do I treat her like crap? I was very upset because Cady is like my best friend. We fought for about two hours. I said that Cady needed to keep her mind straight about her friends. Now Cady and I are friends again. Today started out horrible and ended greatly. That was my day today. November 16 (Thursday)Today the fifth graders had PE (gym). In PE we played volleyball! I said to myself do I even know how to play volleyball? I ended up on Kelly’s team. I said I don’t think I know how to play. Kelly said don’t say that. . . you can play if you think you can. I ended up being one of the best players on my team! I had fun in gym today. November 17 (Friday) Today I went to Lexi’s house. Lexi and I played volleyball. I did a lot better at Lexi’s house than at school! Lexi and I played volleyball until 5:00. When we stopped playing her somewhat step brother Max and Andrew (Max’s friend) got to Lexi’s house. We said to Max and Andrew do you want to play dodge ball? They said yes. I said we are not playing after a while. Lexi and I went into the hot tub for an hour and a half. I had fun at Lexi’s today. November 18 (Saturday) Today was awesome. I went to a concert. I went to see SHeDAISY! My mom said who are you going to take? I said Sierra Hull and Lexi. I said to Sierra you have to be here at 5:00. I think the concert was fun. I knew most of the songs word for word. The girls (the band) are all sisters. I think Lexi, Sierra, and my mom all had fun too. I had a lot of fun today. November 19 (Sunday) Today I went to Midland. My mom, my brother, and I all went. We went to see my cousins. Their names are Ashley (the oldest), Ricky (the middle child), and Brandon (the youngest). I said to my mom how long has it been since I last saw them? She said 6 years! We had a huge dinner. After dinner I said to Ricky you are coming to play boche ball so get up and come play. After boche ball we pretty much had to leave. I had fun today. November 20 (Monday) Today I went to a basketball game. The game was a tournament game. The teams were Frankfort vs. Beal City. When I got there I asked my mom do you see Jordan anywhere? She said no. A few minutes later I saw Jordan and yelled there’s Jordan! Beal City and Frankfort kept neck and neck after that. At half time I went to see Jordan. When half time was over Beal City stopped playing like they were earlier. In the end Frankfort won by I think 6 points. That was one thing I did today. November 21 (Tuesday) Today I played a game. I can’t believe I’m actually saying this but I played with my brother! I said to him do you want to play Super Monkey Ball? He said sure. I said we’re playing Monkey Race. We played 50 laps around one course! I (of course) won. I had fun today playing Super Monkey Ball. Dan Writes a Journal November 15th Today I started my day like any other day. I got up and got ready for school. At school I had band practice. I learned to play hot cross buns. Mrs. Graham said we need to practice a little. I asked why but she didn’t answer? At social studies someone said give me your pencil. I just ignored them. I couldn’t wait to watch my DVD of Harry Potter 4! November 16th Today was very exciting! In the morning I asked why I had to go to school today? My mom like always didn’t answer. At recess I told someone to go away. I guess this day wasn’t exciting but I liked it. November 17thToday I got up and was glad it was Friday! I told my mom that and she asked why? I told her I get to stay up late and play video games. A dog came by the bus stop and I told my sister not to touch it. I told her it had rabies, but she didn’t listen. November 18thToday I had so much fun! I got up and played the computer. I found a quiz on one of the web sites I found. One of the questions was what is your favorite food? My sister said to put down pizza. I had fun today. November 19thToday I had fun beating somebody at video games! My friend picked a game, and I asked why that game? He told me to stop talking and put the game in. So I put the game in. I beat him by only one point. At the end we shook hands and said good game. November 20th Today I didn’t go to school. I was at my babysitters house, and my mom had to pick me up. When she picked me up, and got to the school my stomach started hurting. I told my mom to take me home. She asked why? I said what do you think, and she started the car and took me home. I had an awesome day sleeping! November 21st Today I got up and realized I had gym today. I had to pick whether I would wear mom’s socks or mine. When gym came I had the best day ever! I scored four points in a row! When we lost the ball and got it back I told everyone to switch places. They all asked why? I said because we got the ball back. I had a lot of fun. Cady's Complete Journal for One Week November 15-WednesdayThis morning I slept in five minutes more after my mom called me to get up. Then I got up picked out my clothes and went down stairs. At breakfast my brother was acting his normal weird self. When the bus was on its way, I told on my brother for not brushing teeth. My mom started to yell and I was laughing and then finally we got on the bus. November 16-ThursdayToday was a pretty normal day. Nothing exciting just a normal school day. Today in Mrs. Brown’s class she gave us two papers that were for extra credit. I needed the extra credit because I got a C in math! That was all I had to say about my day. November 17-FridayToday we watched a movie called the littlest Viking. It wasn’t a very good movie. A whole bunch of people were killed. There was a girl that laughed really weird. It was really funny and people were laughing. It was fun to watch but also boring November 18-SaturdayToday I am going to a friend’s house. We will probably watch movies and play Ping-Pong. I brought the movies Cars and Bring it on all or nothing. I am sure we will have fun especially playing Ping-Pong. I hope I will have a blast! November 19-SundayToday I danced for two hours! First we did our classroom dance for Angalina ballerina and then we did the dream dance and then finally we did frost bites. In frostbites we have a really cool ending. I liked the day today because I got to do the ending pose with the boy I wanted to do the pose with. All the dances I’m in are really cool and I can’t wait till the show. November 20-MondayToday I had dance again. After dance Mrs.Adams had to get gas and she said we could get sushys. On the way home we ate breadsticks and drank our slushes. When I got home I practiced my play for social studies. After, my mom painted my nails and put stickers on them. I had a pretty good day today. November 21- Tuesday Today in social studies we put on plays. Only one play though. It was really funny because they kept messing up on words. We will be doing are play tomorrow. It was a really fun day today. Claire Writes and Writes and Writes Wednesday, November 15Today, I had a social studies test. It was about the 13 colonies, so it was pretty easy. Could there be a test any easier? I don’t know why it’s called a test, I think it should be called a quiz! I know all of the 13 colonies; they are Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Maryland, Deleare, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. I felt like saying give me an A, Mrs. Ramsey. Guess what? She did! Thursday, November 16Today I had another social studies test! How many can one person handle? It was pretty easy, or at least I thought so. I won’t know my grade until tomorrow though, because Mrs. Ramsey, (our social studies teacher,) wasn’t there. There were about sixty questions on it. I feel really bad for my friend Cady, though because she had to stay after school to finish it. Afterwards, she told me to put her laptop away so her dad wouldn’t get mad. I hope I get an A on my unwelcome second social studies test of the week! Friday, November 17Today me and a few other fifth graders went to food pantry. It was me, Kaitlin, Brittany T., Alex, and Meghan. At first, it was boring but once people started coming to get the food, it was better. A woman asked me to hand out animal crackers. When they ran out, I handed out cookies, but they ran out really fast. At the end, I was stuck with these Twix bar things. It is so hard not to eat something like that, especially when you’re starving! Later, I asked why there were so many people there. They said it was because everyone got a free turkey. I hope the people enjoyed the food! Saturday, November 18Today we, (my family and me) went to my sister’s solo and ensemble contest. The drive there was really boring, but it turned out to be worth it! My sister went for her flute. She played a solo for Serenade, and a duet with Mikayla Johnson called Slavonic Dance No. 1. For her solo, she got a blue ribbon, and for her duet, she got a red one. When I asked her how she thought she did, she said she thought she did pretty well. I’m happy that she did as well as she did. Sunday, November 19I had to go to church today, just like every other Sunday. Anthony Prattley and Pastor Petteys were in charge because Pastor Steve wasn’t there. Anthony Prattley did the sermon. I have no idea why Pastor Petteys didn’t do it. Anthony talked about how this ancient Indian group had predicted thousands of years ago that the world would end in the year 2012. He also said that on Discovery Channel, one week they said that the world would end because of the sun going out. The next week, they said it would be because of global warming. Is the world going to end because of heating up or going too cold? I have no idea. Well, I sure hope that next week’s sermon is a little more interesting! Monday, November 20Today, nothing out of the ordinary happened. I did nothing irregular. I won’t give you a complete everyday schedule, but I well tell you that it was terribly boring. I really shouldn’t give you a schedule. It would probably put you to sleep. Could there be a day more boring? Believe me, NO one would want to have a day like today. WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE ME? Arrrrgh! Give me a better day. Tuesday, November 21Today I went to the Barnards’ house, just like every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday after school. Every day we end up being mad at each other for some reason or another. Then, the next day, we’d be fine again. Well, yesterday we got mad at each other, (as usual.) Then, today we were fine again, (as usual.) And, miraculously, by the end of the day, we were just fine with each other! Isn’t that amazing? I there was someone I could ask, I’d ask to have every day like this. I’d say, I’d like one free day of free day of fighting to go, please! I really hope the next two days are like that! Brittany T. Types a Journal Wednesday November 15Today in Social Studies we had a test. It was on the 13 colonies. Mrs. Ramsey said, put away your notes, so we wouldn’t cheat. I wondered what I got on the test? When I got my test back I had gotten an A+! Thursday November 16Today after school my mom, grandma, and I had an early Thanksgiving dinner. It was so good! I wonder how long it took to cook the turkey? My grandma said we had to say grace before eating the dinner. Friday November 17Today at school Meghan, Alex, Claire, Kaitlin, and I had food pantry. When I got there a lady said you put jello into each box. After that I said okay. I couldn’t count how many snacks they had, but I wonder how many they did have? I am just glad I got to help a lot of families! Saturday November 18Today I reorganized my room. First I wondered, where do I put all of this stuff? Then I told myself to put my bed by the window and my desk by the other window. Then mom told me to put all of my garbage in a garbage bag. When I was done I was SOOO EXCITED! I was excited because it looked so nice. Sunday November 19Today I danced a long time. I danced for two hours! Then my mom said to turn the music down. I said do I have to? Yes. After that I stopped. Monday November 20Today in Social Studies we practiced for a play. The play will be on Wednesday. I wonder why all the others are frowning? I’m happy though, because I play Queen Fynn! Mrs. Ramsey said practice tonight when you go home and I did. Tuesday November 21Today in Language Arts we had to work on a Thanksgiving packet. They asked us questions like, what are you thankful for? Mrs. Bennett said try to get it done today because we’re grading tomorrow. It was a fun packet! Lexi Keeps a Journal November 15th –(Wednesday) Today Cady and I stated off as friends. Then we got into a big fight. Cady, Mikelle, and Nisha told me, Haley and Sami-K that we treat them like crap. That makes me mad when they say that to me! Then she told us to close our eyes for 30 seconds and they would run off on us. I wonder if they are still mad at us? Now we are friends again and we all hang out together again. That was my day at school. November 16th – Thursday Today in PE we played volleyball. My team was Logan, Sami-K, Sami-B Justin, Claire and Brandon. The other team was bragging. I got really mad at them! I wonder if they are still mad at me? They always look over there. That was my day in PE today. November 17th – Friday Today Haley came over to my house. Haley and I played volleyball. After we played volleyball we went in the hot tub. In the hot tub we played truth of dare. It was so fun! Haley always told me to do something. She told me to go tell my mom a funny joke. I said to my mom that we were playing truth or dare. My mom said that we should not play that game because we would have to do the dares that we dared and we might not want to. I wonder if she can spend the night again? I would have to ask my mom and Haley’s mom too. My day was fun after school on Friday. November 18th – Saturday Today I went to a concert with Haley. The concert was so fun! Haley always told me to look up at the stage, but I said to her that I couldn’t see the stage. So I looked at the big screen. I wonder if they would ever come on tour again? That was my Saturday with Haley. November 19th – Sunday Today it was my mom’s birthday. My mom always told my brother and I not to fight because that was the day that she didn’t want us to fight. We also put up our Christmas tree. It was so fun! I wonder when we are going to celebrate Christmas before we go to Florida? That was my day today. November 20th – Monday Today I had dance class at 6:15. It was so boring! I wonder if we still have dance class next week? In hip hop/jazz class our teacher was telling us to do stuff that we have never done before. Nisha took me home that night. We both though hip hop/jazz class was really boring. We never like going to hip hop/jazz class. It makes me and Nisha really sore. That was my day at dance. November 21st –Tuesday Today I had to stay after school for 45 minutes. It was so boring! I had nothing to do. I wonder if I would have to stay after school again. I hope not! When my mom got there she said come on Lexi, its time to go now. I said to myself yes! That was my day after school. November 20, 2006, Monday*Sighh* Went to school today. I put on my usual fake ‘be happy, life only lasts for a while’ mood so I wouldn’t kill any one else’s day. Do you know what it’s like to act happy when you feel down in the dumps? Well it’s not fun. People (This includes Me.) shouldn’t act happy when they are not. Then again, I don’t want to mess up anyone else’s day…Logan's Journal November 15,2006Today I went hunting on my property. I used a rifle. There was a buck in our bait pile but he would not give us a shot! My dad told me to be quite. Then we heard a shot, and it scared the buck away. So we asked our neighbors if it was they and they said no, and then they asked if we shot? Event though I didn’t shoot a deer I still had good time hunting. November 16,2006Today is Thursday. I had to miss recess so I could take my social studies test because I missed the day that it was on. The test was on the thirteen-colony map. I only got to answers wrong. My mom told me to study. I wish I had studied while I was in the hunting blind! That’s why I missed my recess on Thursday. November 17,2006Today is Friday. Friday is my favorite day because we do not have to switch classes! I had to finish my Native American project on the laptops. The teacher told me to hurry up. She also asked me why I was not done yet? I didn’t do much of any thing else because it was Friday. November 18,2006Today is Saturday, which means no school! I had to get up early to go hunting with my dad. My brother keeps asking me do you think we’ll shoot a deer? I told him to shut up. But he was the only one to shoot a deer. It was a big five pointer. I’m a little jellis but my turn will come. That’s what I did on Saturday. November 19,2006Today is Sunday so we couldn’t go hunting in the morning because we had to go to church. Our church is in Mainstay. While I was in church the preacher asked me to be aculeate? Church is kind of boring to me but I learn a lot. That was the main part of Sunday.
November 20,2006 November 21,2006Today was boring because I had to sit and wait for one hour until my brothers basket ball practice was over. All that I did was sleep for I while. And just to make it worse my dad was fifteen minutes late! I asked my dad why were you so late? He said I don’t know. That made me mad. That’s my boring day for you. Journal by John S. November 15Today in math class we played slap the number. It was fun yet hard because you had to know your multiplication facts. Also you have to find the number and were it was. I won three times. Mrs.Brown would tell us the number and we would have to find it.Mrs.Brown would keep telling us to be quite. I had a blast in math today! November, 16Today my dad and me went hunting. We really did not see anything see anything. We did see some does and squirrels. My dad kept telling me to be quite to see if they were bucks but they weren’t. I really wish they were bucks! November 17Today my dad and me went to the hunting cabin. I got to help my uncle cook some of the food. There were a few other people there. I knew a few of them and they told a lot of jokes. I had a blast cooking! November 18Today our family came over for thanksgiving diner. We had to sit at a different table because the adults took up all the room. I had a lot of turkey and mash potatoes .it was delicious. I had a blast with my family!Kaitlin Keeps a Journal

16, 2006 November 17,2006Today I went to food pantry that was really fun. After 4 minutes Mss. Sandy told me to help fill bags inside. When Brittany was all done with her pudding and Jell-O I asked her if she would get me a box of crackers? A few minutes later Mrs. Milarch came to bring us back to school for lunch. When we got back we said Alex go get your lunch he said never! That was a very fun day at food pantry. November 18, 2006 Today Ashley saw a mouse in our grandpa’s basement. She screamed so loud! She said Garrett Kait feel under the couch with the pool sticks. Then Garrett said did you really see a mouse or was it just your imagination? So then our grandpa set out three trapes. Then the next morning we caught tree mice. One for each night and they were big ones to. That was a really fun night. November 19,2006Today I went to my grandma’s house and one of her dogs had puppies. She did not like me at all. She would not take her eyes off me! When I had a big piece of wood she nipped at me. Then I asked does she always do that? Five minutes later Gary said go get that hammer from grandma. When I came back down she bit me. The weird part was that she knew me. She would not even let me sit down. That was not a very fun visit. November 20,2006Today my sister and I went to physical therapy it was very boring. When my dad went with the lady Ashley asked how long will it be? Then he said you wait hear and read your books or sometheing. Then an hour later our dad came out and we left. Before we left I said yes finally we get to leave in my head of course! For an hour of the day that was really boring. November 21,2006Today on safety patrol there was this kid on his bike and he rode right through the bus loading zone. He cut across right behind Ruth’s bus and nearly hit me and dilaried. Then I asked Nisha did you see that? Then she yelled for Mrs. Milarch and said that the same kid rode his bike through the bus loading zone again. She said if he comes back stop him. That was a different atleast 20 minutes of school.

The Journal of Sam B. November 15, 2006…also known as Wednesday Nothing happened today, and I was trying to figure out what to do all day. Nothing came to mind so I decided to listen to one of Josh’s CDs. But right as was about to grab one, Josh came in and said, get out of my room. I did, and I finally found some thing to do, we had to go to Pizza Hut! How stupid is that? November 16, 2006, Thursday We had a Social Studies test today. No really! Ask Mrs. Ramsey! It was really easy… I will see my score now. No just kidding, I don’t really care. I wonder how I did though? Well I did what I did. It’s my fault if I did bad. I wonder if it’s back yet… I’ll go check! November 17,2006, Friday Well today, Dad, Josh (brother) Alex and I went to KFC/Taco Bell. Dad and Josh didn’t get anything in this journal because I forgot what they ate, Alex got a quesidea, and I got three well, two tacos. I only had two because I was feeling sick. But I could still eat the 32 oz ICEE( or more ICEE than anyone needs) that ended my day! November 18, 2006, Saturday Today, I am not feeling well at all! Turns out my suspicions about being sick are right! I laid down all day and not even Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner (translation: a game I like a lot.) could cheer me up! On the other hand, I did get to watch TREMORS 3: BACK TO PERFECTION… but I felt awful! Uhhhh…gotta go. Sleep sleep time. Wait before I sleep…Mom! Get me some tea please. With sugar If that’s ok… November 19, 2006, Sunday I am feeling slightly better. Not much though! I’ve got a feeling I’m going to school tomorrow… School! Don’t last so long. I wish I was feeling better though, getting off the topic of school. It’s no fun being sick… November 20, 2006, Monday*Sighh* Went to school today. The doc. said that I have bronchitis. Great. Just what I need! What’s the deal here anyway? I never asked to be sick! Release me from sickness. Please? David Keeps a Journal November Today Mr. Neph came back! Today in science Mr. Neph told the class to go to page 142. I wonder how he decided to come back? Anyhow it’s great having him back. I wonder what he has in store this year. November 28 Today he had a special drill. The teacher told us what to do. Why would someone hurt the class? It’s totally super insane! Now we need security cameras. November 29 Today me and my dad went bowling. My told me to give it my best shot. While we were bowling I got six strikes in a row! Why did my dad save bowling for this day? It was awesome. One Week Journal by Natasha November 15, Today we had a social studies map test it was not that easy because all I was thinking about was going home. I am glad I got every thing right! I told my self to stay calm because I would be going home in a minute. All I could think about today was school tomorrow and our social studies test. It is on the computer. I was wondering how I could study for it? It was so hard. November 16, Today we had a another test in social studies test! I wonder if I got a good grade? We also had extra credit work in math. When I got home I did my home work. When I was done My mom and I made pumpkin pie for my grandpa. My mom told me to put the apples in the pie crust. I knew that! I wonder what the other ingreadence mean. November 17, Today my mom and I went Christmas shopping for my family. We were goan for a long 5 hours! When we were done shopping my mom told me to help her unload the car. I was already going to help her but she asked me first. I wonder if we are going to go shopping tomorrow? November 18, Today we went shopping again in manistee. This time we got food and cloths. We bought stuff for every body. I got a lot of stuff! My mom told me to get something for my cousins Keeley and Cole. I wondered what to get? November 19, Today I went over to my aunt susans house. We embroidered a lot of stuff. It was really hard! My aunt Susan told my mom to rethread the machine. I wondered how to do that? It seemed hard. November 20, Today I got out of school early. I wondered why I was getting out early? Then I remembered I had to go to the doctor. My doctor told my mom and I there was nothing wrong with me. When we were done with my Doctors appointment we went home from traver City. November 21, Today when I got home I went swimming! We went to a hotel and visited my aunt Susan and uncle Dan. I wonder how long they are going to stay there? I was having so much fun! I asked my mom to get out of the hot tub and get in the pool with me and aunt Susan. We left at about 7:00 at night. I hope we are going there again tomorrow. Nisha's Journal November 15/ (Wednesday) Today I had to ride the bus home. It was boring! Ford said, sit in your seat to summer. As you can tell I’m on the bus. I’m the last one off of the bus. Right now we are about half way through our route. I know it almost by heart. I am sitting with William, he’s pretty quiet. John just said, I wonder how many kids ride the bus? I’m pretty sure that at least fifty ride. November 16/ (Thursday) Well my day has been awsome! Tonight at dinner everyone was telling my grandma what to do. For example I told her, grama get me the salt. We were also telling her to get the tator tots out of the oven. It was pretty funny! Tonight we had totor tots, roast beef, salmon, and I had a salad. My grandma asked me, do you want some salmon? I said of course I do. My sister Lexi doesn’t like salmon. At dinner every one was happy. That doesn’t happen very often at my house. Usually we are arguing at dinner. November 17/ (Friday) Today I had dance. I was thirty minuets early. Mrs. Knight said, you guys have to warm up. My dance recital is in December, but I’m not one hundred percent positive. I wonder how many dancers dance at the studio. Mrs. Night is really nice. She owns the place. I’m a dream dancer and a snowflake. November 18/ (Saturday) Today we went to k mart. Lexi wasn’t there! Grandma told me hurry up, because I was looking at cloze. I bought my sister a birthday present. Did you know her birthday is November 22? Then I got some new snow boots. They’re pretty cool. They are also comfortable. K mart has a lot of sales going on. November 19/ (Sunday)Today I had to pick up my room because I wanted to play a computer game. Which is really fun. So I vacumed my room for about 2 min, and guess what? My room wasn’t clean enough! My grandma told me, pick up that bobby pin. It wasn’t even mine! Well I have to eat dinner. November 20/(Monday)Today I had softey patrol. Saftey patrol is fun! Mrs. Bennett told me, you better behave yourself. She’s funny. In Saftey patrol you have to hold your arms up when the buses leave. Have you ever done Safety patrol? Of course I have. November 21/(Tuesday)Today in math we had to do some kind of decimals like adding and subtration. Mrs. Brown told us, you guys have at least a half our. That’s a long time! Do you have to have math in your education? Math is awsome. It is my favorite subject. November 22/(Wednesday) Today I made cady a crown. It is awsome! I made cady a crown because we had a social studies play. Cady is one of the queens. The crown I made her is very glittery. My grandma helped me. I think its pretty cool. Joshua Keeps a Journal November 27One day when I went to school I got into a fight. The teacher yelled at the other person and me!
