The Giving Tree Project

On Dec. 8, 2006 the 3rd and 2nd graders from Onekama School had a party. The party was a pajama party. We brought a dollar to wear pajamas and 50 cents to bring a stuffed animal. We raised over $90. We had to have a party for a Giving Tree. They have a Giving Tree so other people could have more things. I felt great about what we did. ...Ashley, grade 3
On December 8 the 2nd and 3rd grade classes at Onekama school had a PJ Day to help the Giving Tree by raising money. How the Giving Tree works is someone who wants to help picks a tag off the tree and has to help he/she. They help by giving them what it says on the tag. To wear your PJ's you had to give a dollar to the Giving Tree. We got to bring our blanket and pillows too. I felt really good to help the Giving Tree because they are kids older and younger that don't have things like we do. ...Alyssan, grade 3
On Friday, December 8th the second and third grade classes had a pajama party to raise money for the Giving Tree. We got over ninety dollars. If we wanted to wear our pajamas we would bring in one dollar. You could bring a stuffed animal for fifty cents. We got to watch a movie. It was called How to Eat Fried Worms. It was about a boy eating ten worms. I had a lot of fun. I felt good giving money to the Giving Tree. ...Kiara, grade 2

The third and second graders all had a pajama party. We got to wear our pajamas all day. If we wanted to we could wear our slippers. We had the pajama party to raise money for the Giving Tree.
