Dear Parents,

Enclosed is your child’s report card.  Please take a few minutes to review the enclosed information with your child.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at snieders@manistee.org  or at 889-9674 ext. 436.  If you decide to call, please call me before or after school.  Our next conference will be on Thursday, March 29^th at 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.  Please add this date to your calendar. 

Tomorrow I will not be in the classroom.  Karen Myers will be my substitute.  She subs for our school often.  If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s report, then please contact me Monday since I will be unavailable on Friday. 

Also enclosed are January’s and February’s book orders.  Book orders are due on Friday, February 2^nd.  Please make your check payable to Scholastic.  No cash please!!

We need more sandwich and gallon Ziploc bags.  We use them for almost everything.  They do get old and need to be replaced often.  Any donations would be greatly appreciated. 

Iah Hoeh and his family have moved to Wellston.  He and his sister, Cheyenne will no longer be here at Onekama.  Our class will send him a card next week.  He will be missed.  Now we have 19 students in our class.

Winter is here!  Please be sure to send in proper attire everyday.  Your child needs to have a warm winter coat, hat, gloves, snow pants, snow boots and inside shoes.  Students will need to keep a dry pair of shoes at school, because they need to take off their snow boots after recess.  This will avoid us sitting on wet, dirty carpet.  If your child has extra snow pants and boots, then they are welcome to keep them at school for the week.  On Fridays all belongings will be sent home for a good cleaning as will our cubbies.  Also due to the cold, wet weather students will go to the gymnasium for lunch recess everyday throughout the winter season.
