Dear Parents,

Tomorrow students will have their first spelling test.  Also book orders are due.

Next week the Onekama Public Library is hosting Valentine crafts all week.  You can stop into the library during the library hours: Monday & Tuesday – 11-5, Wednesday & Thursday – 12-6 and Friday 10-4.  If you have any questions, feel free to call Jane at 889-4041. 

On Wednesday we will celebrate the 100^th day of school.  Students will participate in our annual 100^th day hallway celebration.  Each teacher from kindergarten to fourth grade has prepared an activity for students. 

Please find the attached sheet.  It’s our class list to assist students in addressing their Valentine’s Day cards.  Our Valentine’s Day party is on Wednesday, February 14^th at 11:45 – 2:00 p.m.  Everyone is invited.  I hope to see you there!  Charity Domres, Connie Eno, Vawn Kolk, Lynette Maxey, Peggy Pepera and Karen Somerville have volunteered to be helpers.  Charity Domres, Sheila Falk, Tonya MacPherson, Lynette Maxey, Tonya McWain and Karen Somerville have volunteered to provide treats.  We need someone to coordinate the food.  Our goal is healthy treats.  If you’re interested, please let me know.  Becky Feil and Karen Somerville will provide a drink.  Jill Bronson will provide cups and plates.  I need the following items for our Valentine’s Day party: two bolts of thin red ribbon.

We have a new student in our classroom.  His name is Kevin Nelson, Jaylen’s cousin.  He transferred from KND.  His brother, Jared is in Ms. Schultz’s classroom.   I would like to welcome Kevin and his family to our classroom.

I can always use the following items: string, yarn, scrap material, envelopes, and pie tins.  If you would like to donate any of the items, you may do so throughout the year.  When you are spring cleaning, keep me in mind.
