Mrs. Niederstadt's Parent Letter April 20, 2007 |
Dear Parents,
Well I guess today we’ll have a Friday Folder. I was not in the classroom yesterday. Emma and I were not feeling well. Yesterday we were supposed to finish the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) so we did finish it after gym today. A few students need to make up parts of the test due to absence or tardiness. Mrs. Cook, Title 1 assistant will work with those students next week. You should receive your child’s results before summer vacation.
We have a new student, Jacob Paterson. Jacob has transferred from Jefferson Elementary in Manistee. He has a sister, Alexis in Mrs. Bromley’s room and a younger sister, Kaylin. She is not in school yet. We are very excited to have another Jacob in our classroom. Now we have Jacob M. and Jacob P. I would like to welcome Jacob and his family to our school. Our classroom has 21 students now.
We need a parent volunteer in our classroom to assist with our Spring Sing rehearsal and program. Our rehearsal is May 1st at 12:30 – 1:00 p.m. and the program is at 7:00 p.m. If you are interested in volunteering, then please let me know.

During the month of April, our class is collecting non-perishable items for the local food pantry. All of the food collected is distributed to families in our area. Please send in your contributions throughout the month.
Warmly,
Shantel
