Mrs. Acton tells about Hurricane Katrina

Today Mrs. Acton came in and talked to us about hurricane Katrina, and she is from the Red Cross. She also talked about when she went to Louisiana. Mrs. Acton helped provide food for the hurt and homeless. At the end she said that there is another hurricane coming. Our class presented Mrs. Acton with $71.70. We took a few pictures with Mrs. Acton and the check. I thought it was a good preformance. I would not want to go to Louisiana, but I would like to help. ... Emily B.

Today we had a guest speaker named Mrs. Acton from the American Red Cross. She talked about why she joined the Red Cross. She joined so she could help people in need. I think she is doing a really nice thing to the other people. Mrs. Acton privided food for people. Mrs. Acton told us where the next hurricane will hit. It is the coast line of Texas. When she was there she had to share a room with four different people. Mrs. Acton worked from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. ..Austin G.
