Let the Olympic 4th & 5th Games Begin
I have a couple Olympic events that I really liked. I liked the High Jump and the Little Red Wagon Luge. I liked the High Jump because I can jump high. I liked the Little Red Wagon Luge because I was the one pulling it and I can run fast. I got 8 inches in the high jump. We got 5 seconds for the little red wagon luge. The whole elementary did the OES Winter Olympics. The OES Winter Olympics is really, really fun. ...Lauren
We did Olympic Sports at our school. Not the real ones, just little fun ones. My favorite ones were the Little red Wagon Luge and Side Step. The other Olympic activities were Discus Throw, Plane Toss, Straw Javelin, Cotton Ball Toss, High Jump and Giant Step. The reason I liked the little Red Wagon Luge is because one person gets into the wagon . The other person pulls the wagon when the teacher says go. There's a start and finish line. The teacher times it, so whoever gets the best time wins. The reason I also liked the side step is because you take the biggest step you can sideways and someone measures. This year we had our own winter Olympics in the hallway. We had 8 hallway Olympics. I have 4 favorite games and they are: "little Red Wagon Luge" where you lay on your back in the wagon and have someone pull you down the hall as fast as they can. "The high Jump;" where where you reach as high as you can without standing on your tip toes and put tape on the wall. Get another piece of tape and jump up and you measure how high you can jump. "Discus throw" where you throw a discus down the hall way and measure the length it flies. My favorite is called "cotton ball toss" where you toss a fluffy cotton ball down the hall way. For the last few days the Onekama Elementary hall was doing Winter Olympic events. There were tons of events, The Giant Step, Little Red Wagon Luge, The Side Step, The High Jump, The Cotton Ball toss, the Straw Javelin, The Discus Throw, and my favorite event, the plane toss. The class did all of them . The Olympic events had to interrupt the 100th Day of School activities. It's just as fun though. ...David
This year our school is celebrating the Winter Olympics. They are all really fun. My favorite is the little red wagon luge. What you do is you pull a partner down the hall. My partner was Faith. She is really light. Our time was 5.14 seconds. The real luge is harder, you lay on a sled and go down an icy slope. Some people in the Olympics got really, really good timing on the luge. Onekama Elementary is doing the winter Olympics. I have one favorite race and it is the Little Red Wagon Luge. I liked it because it was fun. My partner was Mikelle. I pulled her while she was in the wagon.
I also liked the plane toss. Mikelle and I shared the same plane. Ours went really far. Ours went half way down the hall. They both were really fun. ...Lexie
I have a couple favorite winter Olympics They are the little red wagon luge and the high jump. The luge is where someone is lying in a wagon and someone pulls them as fast as they can. The high jump is where you reach for a wall and stick a piece o tape on it. Then you jump and stick tape on the wall and the measuring people measure between them. I got 11" I was second. I got 6 seconds and 2 tenths on the luge. We did 8 Olympic events. I liked 4 of them . I was practically last in all of them. I am very glad we did the winter Olympics this year. My favorite Olympic sport was the air plane toss. I think I won the air plane toss. A lot of people asked me to make their airplanes. My air plain went 12 yards. I think that is pretty far for a piece of paper to go. It is really easy to make an airplane. ...Torrey
Onekama Elementary is doing winter Olympics. I have two of them as my favorite. One of them is the Little Red Wagon Luge. My partner and I got in second place. My other favorite was Paper Airplane Throw. My paper airplane came in last but it was fun. ...Dan K.
This year Onekama Elementary is doing Winter Olympics. My favorite is the Little Red Wagon Luge because you get to pull someone in a wagon. I also like the Cotton Ball Toss because it was challenging. I liked the Discus Throw because you threw a paper plate. The best winter game from the hallway is Little Red Wagon Luge. I was pulled in the wagon and Justin pulled the wagon. Me and Justin won the best race and went really fast. I hope everyone had fun. But I really liked the wagon ride. ...Mariah

The whole elementary is doing winter Olympics. We do the Olympics in the hallway. I liked most of them, but my favorite was the Little Red Wagon Luge. Lexie was my partner. Lexie pulled me. I felt as if I was flying. Are time was 5 seconds and 70. Are time was OK. Some people got better, but I think are time was good. When people do it in the Olympics they go down on ice and they go a lot faster. One day I want to go in the Olympics. I would do the figure skating or the snowboarding. If I did either I better get working on bot of them so I'll win a gold medal. Or the silver would be good too, but I want the gold medal the most of all. ...Mikelle
