My Summer Vacation This summer I joined the football team. We do stretches every practice. We have 15 or 16 people on our team. The tackling drills that we do are fun. Sometimes we do something wrong and we have to run the school hill. When we were up at the baseball field we do drills up there too. We do laps up at the baseball field. ... Johnny C. This summer I went to Texas. My aunt and uncle have a pool and a diving board. We swam a lot. The next day we went shopping. It was fun Two days later we went to Kema board walk. We went to an aquarium dinner. There were sharks, turtles, peronas, and more. We weren't there long because it was so hot. The next day we tried to go home but about five minutes from their house our car broke down. So they came to pick us up. We stayed for four more days. I can't wait to go again. ...Elizabeth. B. Amelia, came to Michigan from California this summer. She
was here for 10 da6ys. One day we went to Elberta and
Frankfort. We went to the Coho Cafe for lunch and I got
ravioli, which was really good. Then we got ice cream and
went to Trick Dog. Each of us got a tattoo except for my
grandma and grandpa. I went to
Portage Lake Bible Camp this year. Me, Derek and Parker
were in the same cabin. Our councilor's name was Ben. We
played dodge ball and skate boarded everyday. We had to
wake up at 7:30 every day, and our cabin stayed up to
12:00 or 12:30 every night. This summer I went to a Blazer game. When I went I walked into the front. It's big. When I got in they gave me a Boblhead then I went to get it signed by Bredon Montow. Then I went to my seat. There are a lot of seats. More than eight hundred. We had a seat 301. It was fun. The game went into sudden death, but the Oklahoma City Blazer won. ..Michael This summer vacation I went to Phoenix, Arizona. We went on a 6 hour airplane ride. When we got there we rented a car and went to visit our family. First we went to visit my Aunt and Uncle. I saw a humongus Peacock. It had about 6 different colors. Then we went to visit my Grandma and my Grandma. We stayed at their house for 6 days and at my aunt and uncles for 1 day. ...Brandon B. Over the summer I went down to Ann Arbor Saline. That's where my cousins live There are three of them and they are all girls. We played on their trampoline every day. We only stayed there 2 nights though . It was so fun there. In spare time me and my friends played games and rode rides, expesily the Zipper. A bunch of people came to the horse barn. They thought that Gracey my horse was huge. She is actually small, but there were a lot of ponies. That was my favorite thing I did this summer. ...Annie This summer my family had a family reunion in Indiana. When it was time to leave we got packed and took a four drive to my grandpa's house. We stayed the night there and headed off. It was a three hour drive and right when w crossed the boarder we remembered the paper that said we had reservations. We looked in the car to see if it was in there, but it wasn't. So when we got there we asked if we could still go camping and we could. Then when we got there we set up our tent and talked to our cousins, aunts, and uncles. After we talked for a while we went swimming. The pool had a deep end that is nine feet deep. We swam for like an hour or two. We also met a cousin that I don't remember meeting but he was cool. Our other cousin his brother was joking around and said you can't come next year because it rained too much. It was s a lot of fun. ...Curtis On Friday I went to a hotel. My dad's best friend came to stay with us. He has a daughter named Suzieann. She is 10 years old. We got the apartment sweet. The apartment sweet is a big room. It was 3 bedrooms. The kids sleep in the master bedroom We ate at Ruby Tuesday. I wanted to eat at Red Lobster. We went swimming for 2 hours. We got 3 movies. We stayed up until 2:45 AM Then I went to bed. I woke up then went to go eat. Then I went swimming. After that I went to the beach. We went to eat at a Mexican place. My family went to the mall for school stuff. Then we at at Arbys. This
summer I went to the Farmers Market in Cadillac to sell
fruit. Sometimes we went to Brethren or Lake City but we
usually went to Cadillac. I was the one who worked at the
table while my grandpa and his friend Nelson worked on
putting fruit on the table. I was also the one who put
the fruit in the bags and the one who made the change.
Then I usually went to buy something for my mother. Then
it was time for lunch. I got out the lunch bag and ate my
lunch. After a couple of hours it was time to go home.
Once we got home I gave my mom her present. I told her
that I had a good day at the farmers Market. ...Becky I took a trip this summer to Wisconsin. When I was there I was in a wedding. The wedding was for Nicole and Tom . Nicole is my cousin on my dad's side. I could be her junior bride's maid. We ha red dresses with white beads down the back. We practiced the wedding three times. The day of the wedding Nicole was nervous but she had a good wedding. I had a lot of fun and so did everybody else. ...Kelly K. This summer I went to Hawaii. I also went on a freestyle cruise. When I was on the cruise I went to the islands, Honolulu, Kona, Maui, Kaui, and the Fanning Island. When we traveled to the Fanning Island we were at sea for two days. It was a ten day cruise. There were 3 pools. I had a load of fun! Sincerely, Bryce R. This summer I went down state for a wedding. I got my hair curled. I was the junior bridesmaid. We brought my fleabag dog Tuffy with us. I walked with Austin Coopshaw down the aisle. Then we went to the reception. At the reception me and the bridesmaid Gretchen danced. The other bridesmaids did the mockerina. I did the chicken dance, and the YMCA. I also took lots of pictures. Me and my cousin Amber also danced. We went home at 12:00 (midnight). Then we had to babysit Lucas my baby cousin. Also the groom Ryan asked if we wanted to dance but the party was over. I fell asleep at 1:00 in the morning. The next day I had to watch Lucas. (again) It was fun though. Then we left at 1:00 PM By the time we got back home it was 6:00pm that night. I went to bed at 10:00 I had lots of fun. That was my summer vacation. ...Jessa This summer I went to Bible Camp. We road a bus from Bear Lake to Lake Ann. Our counselors were waiting for us. My counselor's name was Ashley. She was nice. We rode the train to our cabin. Our cabin was named Bager 2. I slept on the bottom bunk. We had 8 girls in our cabin. We stayed at Lake Ann for a week. We got to go swimming. They had a water slide and a trampoline. They had a blob too. The blob is a huge round thing that you jump on. Then you crawl to the slide. Next someone jumps on. After a week we finally went home. ...Emalee This summer me and my 4-H group had the fair. I showed in the horse show and Pocket Pet show. For the horse show I showed my horse, Kitten. For the Pocket Pet show I showed my chicken, Lazy. In the horse show I got first in every class I rode in except one. The one I didn't win first place in I got second. In the pocket pet show I won two trophies and three ribbons. That is what I did on summer vacation. ...Miranda H. On my summer vacation I went to Michigan's Adventure. I rode all of the rides except the ripcord and the baby rides. I even rode the Shivering Timbers. I go there every year with my family. We got there at 10 o'clock and we didn't leave until the park closed. I got to invite a friend too. On the 4th we began to come home and our car got over heated. About five police cars passed us. Then a police car came and let us use his cell phone. We called my Aunt to pick us up. Then we went back to Aunt's house. The next day we sent our car to the repair shop. We had to stay a few more days. When we were there we went to see a movie. Then we went home. Emily B. For my birthday I went to Michigan Adventure. First I ate breakfast. Then I went to Michigan Adventure. When we got in the first ride I rode was the bumper cars. Then I went on the Logs of Fear. I also went to the water park. That's the best part. First I went in the wave pool to get used to the temperature of the water. Then we went on the Tunnel of Fear. It was fun. That was what I did this summer. ...Amy This summer I went to Wisconsin Dells. Wisconsin Dells is like a big town. There are these boats that can go on land and water. They're called ducks. place. the water tower is 7 stories half filled with girl
shops. My whole family went to the Navy Pier. The Navy
Pier is a year round carnival. Over summer vacations I had Emalee over and we went to the beach and lots of fun. Sometimes we went tubing. Othertimes Emalee just came over. We had balloon fights.
