Class Chicks

Moriah

In Mr. K’s  class this year they hatched chicks. Hobi  is a kid in Mr. K’s class.        When Hobi first saw the eggs she thought they were pretty. Hobi says “ The eggs were white and brown” The first thing Hobi had to do with the eggs was turn them over from x to o. The reason they had to do that is so each side of the eggs got the same amount of heat. They had to change the eggs from x to o everyday three times a day. They would be ready to hatch after about 21 days.

After having the chicks in their class for 21 days they were ready to hatch. Hobi said she got to see some of the eggs hatch. Hobi also said that after the chicks hatched they looked tired from trying to get out of the egg. She said after they hatched they mostly just ate drank and slept.  She said her favorite part about raising the chicks were “They were cute”.

I think Mr. K’s class had a lot of fun raising the chicks. They thought it was a very good idea to raise chicks.

This year Mr. K’s class Ian is in this class. Mr. K’s class is learning about chick eggs.

“Ian thought the baby chick eggs were cute the first time I saw them”. “Ian said the colors of the eggs were white and green”. They had to look at a light bulb everyday to look at the chick eggs. They had to put x and o on them so they could flip them over everyday. Candling is were you look through a tube and look at the baby chick eggs. There was a big black ball and it was moving around inside the chick egg. Ian said it took 21 days for most of the chick eggs to hatch.

We seen the eggs hatch and they were tired after they hatched. They did not move around after they hatched because they were tired from coming out of the egg and that took a lot of strength. The chick eggs were running around the next day after they hatched.

This was a fun Interview. The whole class liked it. This was the best interview ever.
