First Grade Parent Letter October 20, 2005 |
Dear Parents, Next week students will have their first magazine test. This test is to assess your childs comprehension, phonics/decoding, and writing. During parent-teacher conferences, I will review your childs results with you. The test will be given Monday through Wednesday at 8:00 9:45 a.m. It is important for your child to get a good breakfast and to be to school on time. On Monday we will walk to the Onekama Village Fire Department to discuss fire safety. We will leave at 12:30 p.m. and should return around 1:30 p.m. If you are able to walk with us, then please let me know. Our Halloween party is Monday, October 31st at 12:20 to 3:00 p.m. Students costumes need to come to school in a bag with their name on it. They will dress for the parade after last recess at 1:20 p.m. If your child has a weapon as part of his/her costume, it needs to stay at home. The Halloween parade is at 1:40 p.m. The following people have volunteered to Angela/Troy Gauthier, Jane/Steve Hall, and Helen Johnson. You will be in charge of an art project so please come to the room at noon for instructions. I do need one more helper for our party. If you are able to help, please let me know A.S.A.P. Patty Acker, Amy Fitch and Jane/Steve Hall are providing treats. Angela Gauthier is providing drinks. Lynn Peterson is providing cups and plates. If your schedule allows, then please join us. |
