Mrs. Niederstadt's First Grade Parent Letters

Dear Parents,

Enclosed is your child’s report card. Please take a few minutes to review the enclosed information with your child. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at snieders@manistee.org or at 889-9674 ext. 436. If you decide to call, please call me before or after school. Our next conference will be on Thursday, April 6^th at 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Please add this date to your calendar.

Also enclosed are January’s and February’s book orders. Book orders are due on Friday, February 3^rd. Please make your check payable to Scholastic. No cash please!!

On Monday your child will have a test over the concepts in Unit 4: Measurement and Basic Facts. Our new unit is called Place Value, Number Stories and Basic Facts. Students will explore place value, turn-around facts, number models, and "What’s My Rule?"

On Thursday we will walk to the Onekama Public Library to return our three books and check out new books. We will leave at 12:30 and should return around 1:30ish. If your schedule permits, please join us.

February 17 — Teacher In-service (No School)
February 20 — Winter Break ( No School)
April 3 - 7 — Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS)
