On Wednesday our annual Christmas program will be held in the gymnasium at 7:00 p.m. Your child needs to arrive to school at 6:45 p.m. in the classroom dressed in his/her Christmas best. Girls are invited to wear dresses and boys are invited to wear dress shirts and dress pants.

On Wednesday all items for The Giving Tree project need to be turned in. If you have a tag, then bring your wrapped item to the office. If you are donating a personal item, then send it in with your child on or before Wednesday.

On Thursday we will have our Christmas party at 12:20 — 3:00 p.m. Our Christmas party is on Thursday, December 22^nd at 12:20 — 3:00 p.m. Angela/Troy Gauthier, Amy Fitch, Jane/Steve Hall, Gail Hopwood and Helen Johnson are helpers. Patty Acker, Angela/Troy Gauthier, Gail Hopwood and Lynn Peterson will provide treats. Gail Hopwood will provide the drinks. Patty Acker will provide cups and plates. During the party we will have a book exchange. Each child is responsible for bringing a new wrapped book with a nametag. The book should not cost more than $3.00. Your child may bring in their wrapped book at any time.

Next week there is no homework, parent letter or Thursday Folder. Have a safe and happy holiday. Our Christmas vacation begins on Friday, December 23^rd and school resumes on January 2^nd. During Christmas break look at our web pages located at http://www.onekama.k12.mi.us/e2006/g1n/. When students return from break, we will have a magazine test. Please be sure your child is to school on time and has had a good breakfast.

I’m still looking for an owner of four books from our last book order: Amazing Artic Animals, Dinosaurs, Incredible Hulk Poster Art & Puppy Mudge Finds a Friend. There was no name on an order form from December. If these are your child’s book, please let me know.
