Tonight is Parent-Teacher Conferences from 6-9 p.m. Today we walked to the Onekama Public Library. Your child was able to check out three books. They are due on Thursday, April 27^th.

Last Monday we planted zinnias for our philanthropy unit. Our unit is called Phil’s Garden of Good. Students will discover the joy of sharing something beautiful. They will decorate pots and create personalized notes for senior recipients at Orchard Hill in Kaleva. We will deliver them in May. Your child will need to bring in a new 4-inch clay pot at the end of this month. I will provide the acrylic paints for the pots.

Next we will begin Iowa Tests of Basic Skills (ITBS). The format will be similar to our magazine tests. We will test in the mornings only. Please be sure your child is to school on time and has had a good breakfast. We will test on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. We will need to finish the following Monday the 17^th. Due to ITBS test, there will be no spelling test or homework for the week of April 10^th — 13^th.

On Tuesday Life Touch will be here to take spring pictures. No money needs to be sent in at this time. Students’ pictures will be sent home in several weeks. Enclosed will be a price list. If you would like to purchase part or all of them, then you can send in the money. If you do not want them, just return them to school with your child.

On Friday there is no school due to Good Friday.
