This year the Onekama PTO and the Onekama Lions Club and National City Bank are combining efforts for the Giving Tree Project for families within our district. We also have a local 4H club that will be adopting an entire family!

We have tags on trees with information listing items that are needed by families within our own school district. These families would like to remain anonymous, as I am sure you can understand. If you personally want to take a tag or if your class as a whole would like to take a tag or a group of parents, etc., etc. please check in with the office with your tag(s) so we can keep track.

If you agree to take a tag from the Giving Tree please bring your item wrapped to the elementary office by Wednesday, December 21st. We will put a nametag on it at that time. Any questions may be directed to the elementary office.

Thank you in advance for your generosity and participation during this season.

Mrs. Ramsey's Class 6th grade visited the Giving Tree. They chose tags and made plans to raise money. First they held a candy raffle to raise money. In addition the middle school held a bake sale and change drive. They were able to donate $100 to Gifts for Teens. With the remaining money they purchased Giving Tree presents. Ms Woolman's Advisory raised the most change $60) and won a donut party.

Many Classrooms took tags from the tree and brought gifts. Miss Schultz's kindergarten students brought personal care supplies: lots of washing up, cleaning up items.
