I went to the food pantry with Brandon, Faith, Nick, Jorge, and Brittany. It was fun. We got to unload a big truckfull of food like cereal, baby food, and a lot more. There were a lot of people there helping. We were in the basement of a church. There were lots of tables of food too. I'd like to help again. ...Natasha, grade 4
We all had to put food in the back of the Subarban. We had collected a box and two bags of food. At 10:00 a truck was supposed to be there but it was a little late. When it got there we were amazed. It was filled with food. by the time we were done, the truck was empty. When the truck left we helped unpack the food. It was hard when we had to pick up heavy boxes that were laying on the ground. ...Brandon, grade 4
I went to the food pantry with five kids in my classroom. We had to take some bags out of the truck and put the food out. Then we had to take some bags out and put them on the table. We had to take the boxes out of the trailer and take the stuff out of the boxes. When we were done we smashed the boxes and went back to school. ...Jorge, grade 4 We went to the Onekama Church. What we did first was go into the back side of the church. The people kept saying the truck was coming. So until it came we were playing. When the truck came we had to help carry in all the boxes. When the truck left we had to take all the food and helth products out of the boxes and put them in the right place. When we got done doing that, we had to break the boxes. We even brought food. It felt goood to help people. ...Brittany, grade 4
