Butterfly Days of October It was a beautiful day to let our butterfly go. We had watched the caterpillar eat the leaves. We had watched the chrysalis form in our classroom. And when the butterfly emerged from his chrysalis, it was time to say good-bye. |
| In our classroom we acted out the
life cycle of a butterfly. We crawled like a caterpillar
and flew like a butterfly. In between the blanket was our
pretend chrysalis. As we emerged from the chrysalis
(blanket) we flew off to find a lunch of flowers.

It looked like the last
beautiful warm day of October. We decided it was time for
an extra recess! October 13, 2004
