Onekama Elementary: Grade 4 Visits Mackinac Island May 2005

Lots of Riding: School bus, Mackinac Island ferry, Carriage Tours	Last Friday we went to Mackinac Island. We went to the bridge and roade across on a hydro boat. When we got across we got with our chaporones. First we went to the butterfly museum. Then w did whatever we wanted with our chaporones. The we went to Fort Michiwala Mackinac. Then Brandon, Quin, John, Austin G. and I went in the Haunted Theater. Then we went to see a lot of gift shops. We left at 4:00. We got back on the hydro boat and then to the buss and across the Mackinac Bridge. We went to Wendy's and got back to Onekama School at 9:00 PM. ...Brandon B
	When we went to Mackinac Island I had to get up at 5:00 in the morning. That was scary. ...Elizabeth My mom and I got up at 5:30. We got rady to go. It was a long bus ride like three hours, my mom selpt a little. When we got there we too pictures. My mom was a chaperone. My favorite part were going in the kid fun place at the fort and shopping in the city. ...Jacob B.
	I left my lunch box in one of the ift shops. When I noticed I lost it we were in the other carriage ride. We went to the fort on the island. It was really cool inside the fort. We got our picture taken by a statue. After that we walked around town. We got back to school at 9:00 PM. ...Quinn In the butterfly house a butterfly landed on me. ...Sarah



	We got a guided tour in the horse town. We all saaw fort Mack. My favorite part was the ferry ride and the humungus grand Hotel. We were there a mighty long time. It was awesome. ...Bryce The ferry's name was Shepler. The first time we rode down below. When we got to land, we got off the ship. A guy handed us some pins. The pins were our pass to our tour. The tour guy showed us the sites. ...Emalee

	At Mackinac Island I went in the haunted house twice and Bryce and Derek thought I was going to come out crying. We crossed the Mackinac Bridge and rode a fairy to Mackinac Island. We rode horses around the town. ...Jacob It was hot in the butterfly house. ...Jessa
	When I was at the fort, I got to watch a movie about Mackinac Island. On the carriage tour we saw a huge rock called Arch Rock. It was so much fun. ...Miranda My favorite part was going to fort Mackinac. I saw swords, cannons, cannonballs and guns. We went to the butterfly house. I took lots of good pictures of cool butterflies. ...Parker
	My favorite part was when we got to hold the butterflies. I also liked when we came over on the ferry, but I think the best part was crossing the Mackinac bridge.
