Mikayla's Report Title: Rachels Journal Author: Marissa Moss Introduction: This is a fiction book about a girl who traveled from Illinois to Californi. This ten year old girl meets Indians and more. About the Book: The book is about a girl named Rachel who travels threw six states in a covered wagon. One of the led oxen dies because of water that is poisonous. It is sad when rachels brother will broke his leg by falling out of a tree. It is also sad when Rachels cat had to stay in Illinois. My Opinion: My favorite part is when Rachel trades her hair for a pony. Rachel named her pony spot. I would of named the pony brownie. Yes I like this book because I like adventures. Alison's Report Title: Vacation under the Volcano Author: Mary Pope Osborne Introduction: This is a fiction story about two children Jack and Annie. In this story Jack and Annie are going on vacation with there parents. Before they go on vacation they want to see there friend Morgan. About the book: In this story Jack and Annie have to go back to the Roman times. Jack and Annie have to find the lost library to find a book for their friend Morgan. Morgan wants them to find the book called Hercules .In the story there is a catch they have to find the book before the volcano erupts. My Opinion: I really like this book because I think it would be cool to go back to the Roman times. It would also be cool to explore the things from the past. It also answered my questions about the Roman times. This book has a lot of cool things about Rome. Lindsay N.'s Report Title: Little House on the Prairie Author: Laura Ingalls Wilder Introduction: This is a nonfiction book about a family of five that have just moved out of the big woods. They are heading for Indian Territory. This family doesn’t know that they will run into some big problems. About the book: This family has been running into many problems like creeks, wild animals, and food. This book gives a chance to see how people long ago got through problems, what they ate, and what they did for fun. This is a great book to learn about the prairie and also about covered wagons. Also where they sleep and how the covered wagons run. My Opinion: I enjoyed this book because you could see what food they caught what food they ate, and where they traveled. I like it because of all the problems they run into on the way, but they always end up solving them. Another reason why I liked this book is that they all had different personalities, so I like hearing then share all of them. I really enjoyed reading this book. Samantha's Report Title: Mayhem on Mackinac Island Author: Johnathan Rand Intorduction: This is a fiction book. In the book two kids get eaten by tree and are sent to a weird world. The two kids are brother and sister. Their names are Sandy and Tim. They have to find the stone key to get home. About the Book: In the book are sent to a weird place with weird things. The place is called the Island of Mayhem. On the island they meet a weird man and need to help him find the stone key. The stone key will save the forest and get them home. On their way they will meet hard challenges. They will also meet some nice people. My opinion: I think that this is a good book because I like fiction books. My favorite part was when they got eaten by the tree. I think that it is weird that of all places of this to happen Mackinac Island is the weirdest. This is a go book to read. I Think the way it end is a go way to end. Chance's Report Title: NIGHT OF THE LIVING DUMMY Author: R.L. STINE Introduction: This is a fiction book with two twin sisters named Kris and Lindy. They have these two dummies named Slappy and Mr.Wood. Mr.Wood has a letter in his pokect to bring him to life. He gets the twins in a lot of trouble. Mr.Wood calls the twin sisters slaves. About the Book: A dummy comes to life in these Kris and Lindy’s home. Kris reads this note then the dummy winks. Kris thinks it’s her imagination. It isn’t her imagination when he says some bad stuff. My Opinion: Yes, I like the book. It is like a mystery. I like it because a dummy comes to life. He can talk’s to them and calls them slaves. Katie's Report Title: The Phantom of the Auditorium Author: R. L. Stine Introduction: This book is a fiction book about a phantom. Phantoms may sound mean, but they can be pretty good friends in this book. Trust me, I don’t think your going to get nightmares. Well, maybe only the first night. About the book: There is a class doing a play about a phantom. The phantom has stopped the kids from doing the play for seventy years. The phantom lives under the auditorium. Under the stage were the kids are going to perform the night of the play. Creeping around waiting to stop the play again for the seventy-one years starting now. My Opinoin: I really liked this book. I also really like mysteries that never end. If you like mysteries that are scary and never end read this book. Goosebumps books have always been interesting to me.

Jami's Report Title: The War with Grandpa Author: Robert Kimmel Smith Introduction: This book The War with Grandpa is fiction. The book is about a Grandpa who moves in his daughter house. When the Grandpa is given his grandsons room the grandson gets very angry. About the Book: It all takes place in the daughters house. The Grandpa and the grandson Peter do not get along any more because the Grandpa won’t give back his room. Then Peter starts stealing the grandpas things. So then grandpa starts stealing Peters things. At the end they gave each other there stuff back and the grandpa moves in the basement. So Peter moves back in his room and they start getting along again. My Opinion: I enjoyed this book because I like funning storing. Also I like it because it could riling happened. It took me about a weak to read The War with Grandpa. It was so good I might read The War with Grandpa again! Cody's Report Title : Halloween Night Author : J.K. Rowling Introduction: Halloween Night is a scary fiction book. Two girls hear strange noises in their grandma and grandpa’s house. Julie and Katelynn very are scared. About the Book: Julie and Katelynn hear howling noises at their grandma and grandpa’s house. They wonder where the noises are coming from. Their grandma and grandpa said they didn’t hear anything. They don’t know where it’s coming from. They soon figure out it’s coming from their bedroom closet. Julie and Katelynn’s grandma comes in and asks what the matter? Will they find out where the noises are coming from? Are they dangerous? My opinion: I enjoyed the book. I enjoyed it because it’s scary. It’s also funny. I also enjoyed the book because at first I had a lot of questions but when I got to the end my questions were answered. I also enjoyed it because it was a good mystery. It was a very good book to read. You should read it sometime if you like mysteries! Emily P.'s Report Title: Ella Enchanted Author: Gail Carson Levine Introduction: Ella Enchanted is a fiction story about a girl who gets a gift from a fairy. Then she meets her new stepsisters. Is it going to be a happy ending? About the book: Ella Ofrell is a teenage girl. She gets a gift at birth from a fairy. The gift made her obedient. Then Ella falls in love with a soon to be king named Char. Her stepsister is jealous of everything her looks, Char, and kindness. She’s trying to make her life miserable. Will Ella brake the spell? My Opinion: I enjoyed this book because I kept wondering what was going to happen next. I also liked this book because Ella kept meeting new challenges. I liked the ending the best. Jaylee's Report Title: The Field Guide Author: Tony Di Terlizz and Holly Black Introduction: This fiction book is about three kids Jared, Fred, and Holly that move into a new house. They just started to live there. When they saw it they thought it looked haunted. Then at the end of the book they did not think it was haunted that much anymore. If you read this book you will find out how. About the book: there are three kids trying to solve a mystery. The kid heard something in the wall so they tried to find out what it was. They think it is a squirrel but they keep on looking to find out what it really is. The story mostly took place in the house that they just moved into. My Opinion: I enjoyed the book because it answered many of my questions on these mystery books. Also if you like mystery books you should read this. I garentee you will like it. My favorite part is when they split up in the house, and Jared finds a secret passageway. Jared found it about midnight and it was pitch dark, but he had a flashlight. Justin's Report Title: The Cockoo clock of doom Author: R.L. Stein Introduction: This fiction story is about a boy who goes back in time. His father purchases a cockoo clock made in 1850. The boy does not know it is a magical clock that can go back in time! About the book: In the book the boy’s name is Mike. Mike has a sister Tara, which is mean to him. Tara ruins his birthday. After Mike’s birthday the clock goes bake in time. A day goes back a year. When he is one he sets the clock back to the normal year and everything is normal. My opinion: I like it because it is exciting. Also I just like mysteries. My favorite part is when he gets bake from the past and Mike’s sister Tara doses not exist. It’s a good book to read. Jennica's Report Title:Afternoon on the Amazon Author: Mary Pope Osborn Introduction: This is a fiction book. Jack and Annie go to the Amazon River. The two main characters are Jack and Annie. They get sent on so many adventures to so many different places. About the Book: Two kids trying to undo a spell on a dog named Teddy. They have to find three things to undo the spell. They got to go to the Amazon River. They met up with someone who seems to be a very nice man. He is a blind man, but he knows were their tree house is. My Opinion: It is an interesting book. My favorite part in the book is when the kids met the blind man. He gave them a lutem blosum for their 2nd clue. Mary Pope Osborn is a good writer of fiction books.
