Third Grade Want to have a Safe Summer

	First Aid May 25, 2005 a lady named Miss Shannon came in to talk to us about first aid. She told us that if you get a bee sting and it gets studk use a credit card or your nail. She demonstrated two things on people. The talked about a lot of things. She even talked about broken bones. She told us if you get a cut you need to was it off. You need to use a bandage. She also taught me that a bruise bleeds inside. If a dog bites you you have to make sure the dog isn't sick. If someone isn't breathing you find a phone and call 911. 	Bike Safety Today we had bike safety. You should wear a helmit all the time. We learned a lot of stuff. Mister Fitch was nice. He said it is a good thing to wear a helmet. When hel told us the signs we all did not know what he wa stalking about. He told us mostly everything about bike safety. And you can't ride on bike trails unless you are sixteen or older. And you have to have reflectors on your bike. The officer taught us hand signals. The hand signals were stop, right and left. You need one that fits you. It has to be snug on the strap, but you have to be able to fit a finger in your strap. You cannot have a siren or a whistle. You can have a bell or a horn.
