A heart monitor is something that tells you how your heart is beating. Bricen got to lay on the bed and have three stickers put on him and we got to see his heart beat. The other machine is something that is very small. It is a little machine that they put on your finger. We got to go in an ambulance. It had seats and lots of emergency acitement. All of us got to lay on the stretcher. We went to the hospital so w could donate books to sick people. ...Megan

My whole class went to West Shore Hospital yesterday. We rode the bus. We waited in the lobby for an ambulance. There was one bed and four chairs in the ambulance. There were lots of cabinets in the ambulance. They showed us the lights in the ambulance. When we went inside the hospital they put suction cups on Sam to show her heart. The machine told us how fast Sam's heart was beating. We gave books to the hospital. I had fun at the hospital. ...Tawny

When we went to the hospital I saw the emergency room It was a medium sized room. There was an air mask and a heart checker. They were medium sized. There was a lot of medicine. The bed in the room was comfy.

The ambulance had a strap in the bed that locks into the ambulance. There was a smaller mask than the one in the room. There were four seats that could fit maybe eight people. There were two places to get out and in one was bigger than the other. I had a good time on the trip to the hospital. ...Jordan

On May 17, 2005 the second and third grades all went to West Shore Medical Center to donate books to the waiting room. The first place we went was to the ER. There was a machine to test your heart beat. They also had a thing that's connected to the same machine that looks under your nail. A, B, C means Air, Breathing, and Carbon Dioxide.

The ambulance is a big truck that helps people when they are seriously injured or can't make it to the hospital. The ambulance has bandages. The ambulance has a bed for people who are bleeding severely. The bed is comfortable but hard on your back. The ambulance was full of room I had fun. ...Haley

In the hospital there was an X-Ray room You got to see your heart tempiture. You got to stick your finger and it did something. I think it took your blood. Then we got cookies and apple juice.

In the ambulance we got to sit in it. We got to sit in the chair that they carried the hurt people in and put them in the ambulance. Nisha did not get in the ambulance because it reminded her of her and her sister's sledding axident. Then we went inside the hospital and Nisha stopped crying. The person who took us outside gave us stickers for doing a good job. ...Alexa

Today at 8:45 Mrs. C's class and Mrs. B's class went to West Shore Hospital. As soon as we got there Mrs. C. took a picture of both classes. We went there to donate the books we made. First they split us in two groups. I was in a group that went to a small room. Bryson had to pretend he was a patient. The nurse put sticker things with wire on Bryson. After that we got to go in the back of an ambulance. There was a lot of seats. Everyone had a turn to go on a hard bed they use in the ambulance. The last thing we did was have cookies and juice. I had a really fun time. ...Janique
