Reading Buddy Beach Day: Tomorrow is our day in the sun!

We will leave our classrooms and walk to the Onekama Village Park at 11:00 AM.  We will return to school at 3:00 PM.  Mary Madsen, Sue Bergstrom, Tess and Steve Fink will be chaperoning.  Jennifer Burgess has tentatively agreed to chaperone.

End of the Year

Final Report Cards will go home next Thursday, June 2.  An informational letter will be included containing several ideas and activities to help keep your child engaged academically during the summer months.

Quilting

We are in the process of stitching and stuffing our pillows in these last few days of school.  Your child will be bringing their pillow home on Friday, June 3.

Appreciation and Support

Thank you to all the parents who donated snacks and supplies throughout our school year.   An extra thank you is extended to all parents who took time out of their schedules to chaperone our class field trips.  With school budgets getting smaller and smaller the cooperation and additional assistance from all sources becomes increasingly necessary for classrooms to function.  School communities must continue to seek additional outside funding and support in order to give our children the best education possible.   You can best show appreciation for your teacher by donating new and used books to classroom libraries, and general classroom supplies.  Items listed below would benefit all students.

  • #2 pencils
  • erasers
  • tape
  • paper clips
  • sticky notes
  • art supplies
  • stackable storage crates
  • Ziploc storage bags
  • Sharpie Markers
  • Expo Dry Erase Markers
  • Construction Paper
  • Mounting Tape
