This week we wrote about our day skiing at Crystal Mountain. Thank you to all the parents that helped out by chaperoning. We also the classic story by Eric Carle, The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Students were reacquainted with the four stages of the caterpillar by writing and drawing them.

Spelling Tests Tomorrow!

Your child will be given their first spelling test tomorrow. Please practice these words at home.

Math

The students have been writing their numbers, some as high as 700.Each student is required to write their numbers up to 200 hundred. A majority of the students have already passed that mark. Look for finished number scrolls at the end of the marking period. We have also been practicing addition facts.

Valentines Day

Our Valentine Exchange will take place on Monday, February 14 in the afternoon. For weekend homework, it is suggested that the children write a kind message to each classmate. This message should be their Valentines Card.

Valentines Day Party

The children have requested the following items for their party. All items should be dropped off by 1:45 on Feb 14.

We will have a Valentines Scavenger Hunt before we eat. If you would like to contribute to the party, please return this portion of the newsletter with your name by the chosen item.
