First Grade
Flea Market

Dear Parents and Teachers,

Students in Mrs. Eichberger’s first grade class will be holding a First Grade Flea Market. The flea market provides an opportunity to handle money in a buying-and-selling situation, in addition to selling items they no longer want.  The items could be unwanted toys, books puzzles, stuffed animals, individually packaged snacks, or handcrafted items such as jewelry, bookmarks, paper-mache, knitting, etc… These items must be clean and gently used. Children must get parental permission for all items that are brought to school for selling in the flea market.  All items must be brought to school by Monday, April 18.

All items will be priced in a range of $0.10 - $1.00.  Students will play the role as a cashier or a retail assistant.  Students from other classrooms will play the role of the consumers, and will be invited to the flea market on designated days.  The flea market will take place in room 438 from 2:20 — 2:50 PM.

  • Wed. April 20 — Consumers — Grades K- 1
  • Thurs. April 21 — Consumers — Grades 2-3
  • Fri. April 22 — Consumers- Grades 4-5

All proceeds generated from this project will go towards our Sleeping Bear Dunes Field Trip in May. Any money left over will be given to the Onekama PTO fund.

Any questions regarding this fundraiser may be directed to Mrs. Eichberger.
