Young Author's Day was sponsored by the Manistee ISD on Tuesday, March 15. Students from Manistee, Kaleva, Wellston, MCC, and Onekama were chosen to attend this workshop for young writers. A local author from Ludington, Carol Farley, was the guest speaker at the workshop. She has written for magazines for kids, fiction books for all ages, and nonfiction books. At the workshop, Carol shared the many stories/articles that she has written in her 40 year career. Also she praised and encouraged the young writers to continue to use their talents to express their ideas. |
