Nile Crocodile

The Nile crocodile can live up to 70 to 100 years old. They belong to the reptile family. The crocodile comes from Africa.

The Crocodile is 1,500 pounds. It is yellow and green. It can be up to 5 to 25 feet long. There are 22 kinds of crocodile.

When it gets hot the crocodile goes in the mud. It eats lion, wildebeest, gazelle and buffalo. It drowns its prey.

Crocodiles are strong swimmer. They come from Africa. The Nile crocodile are an endangered species.

There are 22 species of crocodiles. The Nile crocodile is a wild animal that should not be hunted. It is the biggest crocodile in Africa. They like to live in rivers.

Coyote

Coyotes are afraid of people. They belong to the dog family. They travel in packs.

The coyote is 40-60 inches long. The weight of a coyote is about 15-20 pounds. Coyotes are about 15 - 20 inches tall. Coyotes fur can be brown and gray but some time they are different colors.

Coyotes like open plains and grass lands. They stay in dens and some time caves. They travel over rages both day and night. They eat rabbits and squirrels.

They have a good sense of smell, sight and hearing. Coyotes use these for hunting and keeping themselves safe. They are smart and fast. Coyotes use their hearing to listen for danger.

Coyotes stay in the woods and in the country. They only wake up at night to go hunting and to travel. Coyotes are a smart animal.

Saber Toothed Cat

The Saber Toothed Cat is extinct. They lived 11,000 years ago. They died during the Ice Age.

The skull is 1 foot wide. Their jaw can open 120 degrees which is twice the size of a regular lion. Their canine teeth are 7 inches long. They are 5 feet long.

The Saber Toothed Cat is tan and white. The Saber Toothed Cat is a meat eater. It was found in California. They have serrated teeth.

They ambush their prey. They use their teeth to bit their prey. The cat has short powerful legs. The Saber Toothed Cat has too huge canine teeth 12 inches long.

There is not very much information about the Saber Toothed Cat. They lived when the Mammoth lived. They lived thousands of years ago.

Sharks

Sharks can eat people but they don't always die. They can smell long distances. They can smell a drop of blood in 25 gallons of water.

Sharks are 12-16 feet long. Sharks weigh about 7000 people. The shark is gray and white. They use their tails for swimming.

Sharks like to live on warm coast lines. The water is not hot or cold. They are cold blooded. Sharks eat fish, otters, seals, sea lions, small toothed whales and sea turtles.

Sharks have gills for breathing. Sharks bit other animals for protection. They have 3000 teeth. Sharks swim alone or in a pair.

Sharks are mean when they smell blood. They smell a distance away. Don't go in the water when they are in the ocean because they will attack you.

Arctic Wolves

The Arctic Wolf can survive in very cold weather. It can get up to -22 degrees where wolves live. They are in the dog family. They look like dogs and act like dogs.

The Arctic wolf weighs up to 174 lbs. The females are lighter. The wolf's head and body is about 3-5 feet long and their shoulders are about 25-31 in. wide.

The Arctic wolf lives in a wolf den and lives in groups. The wolf eats hares, musk ox and other animals. The wolf nurses their young. When the baby wolves are bigger they find food for themselves. The arctic wolves' fur is white.

The arctic wolf howls for protection. The wolf can go with no food for days and can eat a lot too. The wolf can live up to 7 years old. They look so beautiful when they stand in the sun. Their fur shines up. The wolf is a wild animal so it should not be hunted!
