Dear
Kindergarten Families, It has been a buggy bug world in our classroom as we have been talking about insects this week. The language center had some word family word match-ups and a bug take-home book. The writing center task was to choose an insect and write a story about that insect. At the math center students put together a ladybug counting book. Each page had a certain number of spots needed to count by 2’s. Then they chose an anthill with a number at the top and found all the ants with equations that equaled that number. At the art center they made a book explaining the characteristics of insects. We completed a few bug art activities, caught ants to look at more closely and observed a variety of pretend bugs through a magnifying glass. Tomorrow we will be having a special snack and watching the movie A Bug’s Life.
Please
remember that there is no school on Monday due to Memorial Day. See
you Tuesday!! Have a
