During the first weeks of December, the fifth graders wrote questions and conducted interviews with our Kindergarten class. The fifth graders wrote the paragraphs below using information supplied by the kindergartners.
About Caleb Caleb likes school He likes it because he gets to learn new things. He thinks school is fun because he can play with Lincoln Logs in his class room. He also likes to draw. On recess Caleb plays soccer and goes sledding. His friends are John, Logan, Braden, and Randy. Caleb is a very nice kindergartener in Mr. K.'s class.
Interviewing
Jack Jack likes Christmas because he likes Christmas Eve. He said this Christmas Eve he will leave cookies and milk for Santa and carrots for the raindeer. For Christmas he want yugioh cards, yugioh game, game cube games, and legos. For Christmas he is staying home. His favorite part of Christmas is when Santa comes to everybody's house. His hill is pretty big, Jack says. He can sled down his hill. His brother snowboards down. When he goes to Crystal Mnt. he snowboards. Jack has three dogs, 1 turtle, 2 lizards, 1 rat and 2 brothers. He likes them because they are family. Jack puts hats on his dogs heads. At Christmas a lot of family members come to spend time. At Christmas he gets a real Christmas tree. In class they talked about Santa and Christmas and had to get gifts for each other. That is what he said to me.
The Brandin
Interview Today I interviewed a boy named Brandin from Mr. Kudlack's class. Brandin has one older brother. On Brandin's favorite Christmas he got a toy train. B For Christmas he wants a toy monster truck. Brandin likes to make snowmen and snow angels. Brandin has two rats. His two rats are nice. I hope Brandin will get lots of presents for Christmas.

With Emma Today I got to interview Emma. She said she might go to the Christmas program. Emma likes to make snowmen, go sledding and make snowballs to throw at people. She has two brothers, Tim and Devlin. She has two cats. She likes to read and make things at school. She also said she liked being interviewed. The one thing she likes about Christmas is presents.

Randy Randy is six years old. His birthday is July 28th. He is in Kindergarten. He likes his teacher, Mr. K, a lot. His classroom is big. There a a lot of things on the wall and on the wall in the hall that they made. He would like mittens for Christmas.

Alyssan Alyssan is five years old. She is in Mr. K's kindergarten. She says that Mr. K's room is big. There are a lot of toys and things to do in the room. She likes Mr. K. for a teacher. She has five friends in her class. For Christmas she would like Bratz dolls.

Tiffany Tiffany likes Christmas because she can open up gifts. She said she will leave cookies and milk. For Christmas she would like a Barbie alarm clock, a Barbie picture and a Barbie doll. At Christmas she goes to her Aunt's house Tiffany likes throwing snowballs at her brother. She thinks that is fun. Her favorite holiday is Christmas. She says she gets a lot for Christmas. A lot of time family members spend time with her family. She says they get a real Christmas tree. She has a cat named Teetoo and puts little hats on her cat. She likes her animal and says Teetoo is a nice cat. Teetoo is soft. Tiffany got to pick a secret Santa Santa to get gifts for kids in her class. Tiffany has a little hill to go sledding on. She goes skiing on the bunny hill. That's what I learned when I interviewed Tiffany. |
