When we started this project we put a grapefruit, a tomato, and a piece of bread into a bowl. We also dampened the grapefruit, the tomato, and the piece of bread. After a couple of days we had a mold on the grapefruit. Then 3 days later there was a fuzzy white mold on the tomato, and the grapefruit. When we started our project all the food was normal. On the second day the grapefruit had gray and solid mold on it. On the third day the grapefruit had white fuzzy mold too. Then we put the food in the bowl in a plastic bag and squeezed all the air out of the bag. After that we put the bowl in a cabinet then we closed the cabinet doors so it was dark in the cabinet. Then the mold started eating the food and the mold started growing. The mold was gray, white, blue, green and fuzzy. The mold doesn’t need to have sunlight to grow, all it needs is a little water and whatever it is growing on.
