Recycling September 6, six fifth graders helped out at the recycle trailer. Thanks Shane, Mike, Maeve, Taylor, Jeremy and Todd (not shown). Jeremy and Mike brought their Moms along. We recycle to keep the earth clean. But for us we recycle so in the spring we can go on the s.s Badger for a field trip. We like to recycle . It is fun with my friends. I found a lot of comets.  We should recycle because it is good for he environment. It is good for the environment because then there is less trash in landfills and on the ground. When trash is on the ground and other places animals and even people will die and that is not good. We need to have it organized. It is better when we recycle because than to throw it in the dump. If you throw it in the dump in about 10 to 20 years from now the whole world will be a big dump. That's why recycling is good for the environment. … Taylor |
I like recycle trailer because I get to spend time helping people. It also helps me get up and help the community. It also helps to save energy from others cutting down trees to make paper. We are going to get up at 9:00 Saturday to do recycling. We are also responsible for keeping our community clean. We are doing this to raise money to go on the s.sBager. I am also giving up time to help my community. Recycling helps me get out of math and do something. That’s why I think recycling is fun. …Shane When were stacking in the recycle trailer. I could touch the ceiling. When Todd stood up his head touched the ceiling. It was hard to get on top of the boxes. There were a lot of holes. If you stepped in the wrong place, you could fall. Yesterday we went to the recycle
trailer, and we stacked up a lot of cardboard. 3 people
were on top of the cardboard stomping on the cardboard so
the cardboard would not fall on top of the kids that were
bringing the cardboard over to the pile. Taylor and I
were putting the cardboard on the big stacks. Outside the
recycle trailer there was a really big box full of
National Geographics that somebody had recycled. When the
we went back inside the trailer there were bags stacked
very nicely on the sides of the trailer. I am glad that I
can be a part of the community by helping with the
recycle trailer. … Yumi Yesterday in the recycle trailer Alexis and I found about four bags of National Geographic books. They filled up about half of a big Gateway box. A while after Alexis and I put the books in big box and we all left. Then the other class had to take them all back out of the big Gateway box. After they took them out I think they put them in boxes. Next I think they piled them in the Recycle Trailer. I enjoyed working in the Recycle Trailer yesterday. … Ashlie |
