Putting on a Talent Show: April 8, 2004

Thursday Talent Show

Jeremy, Michael, and I are in the talent show. We are called the Magicians. We do magic for the talent show. We practice in the hall where it is quite .We also practice in the hall so know body can see us do the magic tricks.

Doing the talent show was a little embarrassing. It was really funny though. Jeremy and Michael did most of the action .I set everything up for the talent show. It was really fun.

Thursday we did a talent show. We did a comedy skit. I made all of the skits. I wrote the scripts too. One was like news, The other was about the Pepsi challenge, and the last was about a little kid playing basketball with Dennis Rodman. We did not practice at all for the skit.

Our skit was the longest. It lasted about 8 minutes. I liked it all very much. I thought it was going to be scary but it was a lot of fun. I had a really good time

Last Thursday we had a Talent Show in our class. I was in Yumi and Taylor’s group, Ashlie and Jared were on our group too. We had to practice a lot, because we were doing a dance and everybody had a part. I did sota’s across the floor. Yumi and Taylor did a ballet that they learned in ballet class.

Our group was first up. I did Maeve’s part in ballet class. We danced to the song Why Not by Hillary Duff. I don’t think anybody messed up, we all did a good job. Jared made a awesome ending doing a round-off.

The talent show on Thursday was very exiting. For the talent show I did a dance along with Taylor, Alexis, Ashlie, and Jared. When Taylor and I did our part of the dance we did some of a ballet dance that was choreographed by Debra Night and some gymnastics moves that we just felt like doing. It was really hard trying to make up a part for Alexis, Ashlie, and Jared, yet we had tons of fun. We did our dance to the song "Why Not" by Hilary Duff.

When our group came up to dance I was kind of nervous, but as we started to do the dance I just forgot about the people watching and just danced. At the very end of the dance Taylor and I lifted our leg in the air and Alexis and Ashlie were holding them while Jared was sitting on the ground. Also Taylor and I did a devlopay combination at the very end of the talent show and I think we did a pretty good job. My favorite part of the dance was when Taylor and I did cartwheels with one hand and then did a front limber. I hope we get to do another Talent Show soon.

Taylor and Yumi did most of the planning of our dance because they were the main dancers. There were five people in our dance. The people were Taylor, Yumi, Alexis, Jared, and I. Taylor and Yumi were in almost our entire dance. Alexis was in the middle of our dance. Jared was at the beginning and ending of our dance, and I was at the middle and end of our dance.

In the middle of our dance I did a handstand while Yumi and Taylor did a backbend. Then at the end of our dance I did a roundoff across the stage. I was supposed to walk across the stage on my hands, but I changed my mind. Our talent show was excellent. I had a wonderful time I was a little embarrassed because I knew the teacher. Ms Goodwin, was taping us.

Logan made most of our skits. The skits were very funny. The class loved it. Our group was made of four people. It was Logan, Todd, Michael.M, and I. We had three skits that we showed.

The first skit was about news. The second skit was a pop ad. The third skit was a commercial about basketball. After the plays everyone was laughing.

I really enjoyed the plays we did and I think the rest of the class did too. Our teacher taped it so we will watch what we did some time.

Zach, Mike and I worked together on the talent show. We worked on the show for four days. It was very hard to come up with something. We were going to do a magic show.

When we did the talent show we chose to go last. Mike and I did the magic tricks and Zack was our assistant. When we were done we were happy. It was a relief to be done! That is what our group did. The rest of the show was good too. The teacher, Miss Goodwin, used her own camera to record our talent show so Miss Bishop can watch it.

Logan made the entire skit. I would have made a lot of the skit, but Logan did not tell me to make part of the skit because he forgot to tell to make part of the skit. Logan, Nathan, Todd, and me played in the skit. We were prepared for the talent show.

Our skit turned out to be awesome. Every one liked the skit every one was laughing. My favorite part of the skit was the weather part.

The first thing we did is I did is find some people. I got Zach and Jeremy to do magic tricks. We practiced a lot. I did some of my dads’ tricks. We had fun practicing.

The talent show went well. We liked the comity act. We went last. The magic tricks went well. Then we did a little comity on accident. It was fun.

The group I was in with Logan, Mike M., and Nathan. Our talent took two days to get ready.

On the Talent Show Jared’s group went first, and they did a dance show. Then we went up next. Our first show was on the news, then the Pepsi challenge, and the basketball game. Our show took 20 minutes. The Talent Show was excellent.
