Fifth Grade Book Sale for the Common Good

Jake

We are doing a book sale for the common good. All money raised will go to our great library. We are being philanthropic by giving to our good library. We have thin and thick books.

This week we are holding a philanthropic book sale. We are going to give the money to the library. So far we have earned approximately $100 and sold about 500 books. When we are selling the books to the little kids sometimes they give us $1 dollar when they only owe 30 cents, but for the Common Good they let us keep the change. When we are standing out by the books sometimes it gets really boring so we straighten the books out in a certain order so it is easy to find books. Also when the kids are looking for books sometimes they ask if there are any mystery, funny, or scary books around, so when they do we help them find the perfect book for them. I am glad we are doing this philanthropic project in the fifth grade because it is fun, and interesting.

The fifth grade book sale was very fun and exciting. The kids moved the books around and then the clean table looked like a messy table. Some of the books that we sold were very dusty books. The money that we made will go to the brilliant library. The sale was a philanthropic sale. I am glad we had a wonderful book sale.

We are having a fantastic book sale. Sometimes it can be confusing. When Todd, Yumi, Jessie, and I were there it was so messy Todd and I had to clean it all up. Sometimes it can be crowded. Most of the kids are little, and we are real big to them. A lot of the kids were pleasant.

Yesterday we had I book sale. It is really exciting selling books. It was really crowded sometimes. This little kid loved getting big books. We had to clean up the books because they were very messy and some dusty. Sometimes it was really confusing working with the books and the money. It is really hard to know who paid and who did not. We really worked hard trying to keep up with the kids. A lot of kids are looking for yugioh, pokemon or other books. Those entire books sold out. Everybody loved those books they thought they were cool and fun to look at. I like the Book sale a lot it is really fun and exciting.

This week the 5th grade is having a book sale. We are raising the money for the Onekama Library to keep it working. Having a book sale is fun, because you have all different kinds of school kids coming to buy a book for only 10 cents to 25 cents. Through two days we have approximately made $100 dollars and we have sold 500 books in two days. Our book sale is a philanthropy social time to spend with your customers. Having a book sale can be difficult sometimes when you’re working hard. There are all different kinds of books like good books, cool books, scary books, and interesting books. I like to have book sales, you're doing it for the common good.

Our class is having a book sale to raise money. All the money we raise is going to the Onekama library. It is very exciting working at the sale although the kids are crowded and very messy. They drop a lot of books. There’s also a lot of hard math involved because the kids give us to much money and it’s very confusing to count their change. Once Jack, a kindergartner, gave me five dollars for one large book. I didn’t have enough money left in my jar to pay him back so I let him have some shiny stickers and a huge note pad. The book sale is very exciting and I hope we raise a lot of money.

The book sale was a rush. There were grown ups, and little kids wanting books. Some of the books were old and dirty. Others were brand new. We had many books like educational books, kid books, big kid books, and adventure books.

It was delightful to have all those customers. We had a lot of animal books. The children loved them. We got a lot of money for them. Everybody in the class pitched in to help. It was fun!
