S.S. Badger

The SS Badger is a very big ship. It is so big you could fit a foot ball field in it. You could also fit a two story building in it. It is a very wide ship. It has a huge smokestack.

The SS Badger is very exciting. It is very loud. I like their games. I really like there arcade games. I also like getting there bounce balls.

The SS Badger has a gift shop. It has a kids port. It has a cafeteria. In the cafeteria there’s bingo. I had a lot of fun.

My favorite part is looking over the side of the boat. I really like looking way out and try to find things out there. I saw Westconson and Michigan. Michigan has the dunes and Westconson has towers hills. I really think it is fun.

SS Badger

On Wednesday we went on the SS Badger. I had to get up at six in the morning. When we got to Ludington we all got off the bus and waited to get on the ship. Finally we were moving. On the Badger there was lots to do. I played Badger BINGO and almost won twice. I also ate lunch with Alan and we also walked on the decks. I even went to the store there and bought a hat. The Badger trip to Wisconsin felt really short.

When we got to Wisconsin we got back on the bus and went to the Maritime Museum. There were lots to do there and the museum was really big. We went on a submarine tour and saw the whole thing. Our guide showed us the USS Cobia’s bullet holes and took us into the cabins. He told us the Cobia holds over 16 missals. After the tour we went to the water simulators and played with the little boats. The Maritime Museum was lots of fun.

On the way back to Michigan it was really windy. Cameron, Alan, Logan, Duane, Taylor Maeve, Ashlie, and I leaned into the wind without falling over. We also jumped over the shadow of the spinning radar. Alan and I also ate dinner and played in the arcade. When we got back to Ludington there wasn’t many people riding the bus. Taylor, Yumi, and I listened to music almost the whole way back. We also played truth or dare with Duane. I had lots of fun on the SS Badger.

I had lots of fun on the SS Badger and I want to go again, Oh wait I’m going on June 11.

The Badger Trip

On June 2 we got to go on the SS Badger from Ludington to Manitowoc and then back to Michigan. On the boat they had Badger bingo. My mom and I played bingo on the way there. But on the way back my grandma and grandpa were coming back on the Badger too. So they played Bingo with us on the back to Michigan. The last game of bingo was black out and all I needed was one more to get a bingo, but Todd’s mom got a bingo and won.

When we got to Wisconsin we got to go to a museum. There they had a water room where you could make a boat and then take it through the Soo Locks. That was really cool! The Soo locks had tree stations and you had to get your boat to the same level of water as the station in front of you.

But before we could do that we had to go through the Cobia, a WWII submarine, that the museum had. We had a really cool tour. We learned a lot about WWII subs and the Cobia.

The Badger is a really cool ship to ride. I guess you could call it a mini cruise.
