We cleaned Arcadia beach Thursday Sept. 18, 2003. Are Third grade classes did a Beach sweep. I had three jobs one was picking up garbag. I did a tally shet and helped carrying the trash bag. I liked my first job the best. I did it for the common good. The common good is to help the envierment and I helped the common good. ...Austin

The beach sweep is the Common good because we help the beach. We did the beach sweep on Sept. 18. I hold the trash for a littel bit. We picked 58.5 lbs of trash. Also I hold the clip board a littel bit. The Common good is inportant because we do help others and the earth. I feel good about the Common good. ... Daniel

We were at the Arcadia beach. We went on Thursday September 18th. Only the third grade went on the field trip. We went their to clean the beach. The beach clean up was for the common good. It was for the common good to help the animals. It also helps the community too. I picked up trash on the Arcadia beach. I picked up glass and plastic. We found metal bars that were really hevey. The beach sweep was very fun. We found paper cups and tiers and a lot of worm buckets. At the beach sweep we split up in two groups. Half went with Mrs. Catanese and the other half went with Mrs. Sanderson. I was in Mrs. Catanese's group. ...by Quinn

Our class picked up trash on the Arcadia Beach. It is not ploted any more. My job was a tally chart person. Then I picked up garbage. The strangest thing I found was a pair of underware. We found a lot of cigaret buds. The less thing we found was a pair of socks. The third grade class found 159 pieces of trash. It was 58.5 lbs. We were also volunteers. It was fun. I liked doing beach sweep. We did it without getting payed. The beach was super clean when we were dun with it! We were there for three hours. ...Annie
