We took our balloon and covered it with two layers of newspaper and puppet "goo". 

While we worked, we thought about the fables we had read. Our puppets would act out the fables.

Everyone worked to make their puppet character.

It was a messy job, but someone had to do it.

We made features likes eyes and ears using cardboard and wads of newspaper. We added another layer of newspaper and let it dry.

Painting was the fun part. We wanted our puppet to look like the character in the fable.
