when you first let go of the bobber. It is the slowest
when it hits a lot of dominoes. That really slows it

It takes about five circular swings to knock down all the dominoes. It usually takes about ten straight swings for it to get them all down. The pendulum takes them all down with about 7 diagonal swings. ...Katherine When we would swing it gently it would go the slowest, and when we really chuck it, then it goes faster. ...Anja If you wanted its motion to be faster you had to kind of throw it but if you want to go slow you just drop it. You can turn it by dropping it at an angle and then it will come back in a different direction. ...Jonathan It is fastest at first because there is more force in the beginning. It is the slowest at the end because the force slows down. You controled the direction of the pendulum by stopping it and pointing it in the direction you want it to go. We changed the direction by just sort of pushing it the way you want it to go. It takes round 23 swings to knock down all of the dominoes.
