Investigating a Chemical Change

Today we had a fun and interesting science class. We did an experiment using baking soda, water, bottles and balloons. We added vinegar in a bottle and water in another bottle. We put baking soda in the balloons and looped them over the top of the bottle. Then we dumped the baking soda in. The water and baking soda just sat there doing nothing, but the vinegar and baking soda made the balloon inflate. This was a chemical change.

We start out stating what we will investigate. and making our predictions

We then make our predictions

We follow the procedure and measure the ingredients carefully.

Today we did a science experiment. We used vinegar, balloons, water baking soda, and put them in separate bottles. We put baking soda in the balloon. Then you added the baking soda when you lifted the baloon. The vinegar and baking soda blew up the balloon. That's what we did today.

And in the end we write up our observations and our conclusions.
