When I was making the scarecrow we had to have at least 6 things. We had gloves, hat, hair, broom, mop, shoes, and a necklace. On Saturday we had to bring it down to the basketball court. But just to get judged. Also for the parade. We won 2nd place. Just our group with a lot of team work.

We made a scarecrow for the home coming contest. We made his name be Scare Ya Mon the Jamaican Phantom, but first we thought we would name him Bob or Fred or something, later was when made up his real name. He had dreadlocks and a mask and everything. He was the best we got a participant ribbon. But then the good thing was the night before that I spent the night at Danny’s house, and that night also I spent the night at Danny’s house that night too. Finally the weekend was over and the first day of the week is here.

I helped with the scarecrow. First thing the group and I did was bring our supplies we had. We brought the leftovers that we had from our space project. We had tinfoil, a box, milk jug, two sticks, and string. We didn’t have a lot but it didn’t really matter. Second the group and I made the body with sticks to support what we were going to put on it. Then we started to make the hair. Later the group and I took tinfoil and wrapped it like a jamanken guy’s hair. We tried our best with the supplies we had at the time. We only had two recesses to work on it. Well I only had one day because I was going to Grand Rapids the next day. WhenI came back on Monday I looked at the scarecrow. its name was Scare ya Mon. The place we got was participation. It didn’t matter. I know we tried hard and had fun.

I worked on the scare crow for home coming with some of my friends. We made a Jamakin Phantom. We made him out of tin foil, wax paper, wood, milk cartons, and wall paper. First we made the body out of a big piece of wood. Second we made his stomach out of card board. Then we covered him with tin foil.

I worked on "Scare Ya Mon." "Scare Ya Mon my classes scare crow. First we found recycled things like tinfoil, plastic plates, and boarders, but we used two things that were not recycled. They were a garage bag and a log. Then we made them with the things we found. At the same time miss Bishops class was starting theirs to. Next I made the fire hose because he was going to be a fire fighter. At the same time the other people making the my classes scare crow were making it sturdy and putting on the tin foil. At the last second we didn’t want him to be a fire fighter so we took off all the fire fighter stuff. My class got a participant ribbon.

I had a fun time making a scarecrow for homecoming. Its name was "scare ya Mon". Six other people and I stayed in for two days recesses to work on it. We made it out of left over tin foil and trash bags. First we wanted to make him a fire fighter. Then we thought it would be cool to make him have dreadlocks. After that we gave him red eyes. Then he was scare ya Mon. Finally we brought him to homecoming and got the participant award.

I worked on the scarecrow in Miss Bishops class. I wrote the name and did a little of the decorating. We only got a ribbon for participant. Our scarecrow's name was scare Ya Mon. I didn’t get to go to Homecoming because my great Gramma was in town and we went to Grand Rapids to see her. Mrs. . Bennett class and Mrs. Brownleys class won the scarecrow contest. When we were in Grand Rapids we did a lot of things. First we went to our families favorite pizza place the name was Andreas Pizza. Then we went to our Gramas house and had dinner. We saw our cousins there. After that we went to our Grandma and grandpas house to sleep. The next day we went back to my grandmas house we ate lunch. Then I went to climb some trees. My grandma has the best climbing trees. We ate dinner and I played with my cousin Trent. Before we went my grandma gave me twenty dollars. The next day I went to my cousin’s football game. There were tons of bees. My cousin won forty-eight to nothing. We went back to my grandmas to say by to my great grandma. After that we headed home.

When we did our scarecrow we did it in Miss Bishop's room. The people who helped make the scarecrow were Gus, Jonathan, Jake, Ashley H, Anja, Joe F, Josh and I. Also when we started we were going to have him be a fire man, but that changed we had him be a scarecrow. Next we added a vest to him. We made it out of a cut garbage bag. Then we put legs on him. After that we put wallpaper on to make it look like pants. When we got done Gus and I started to make feet for him. Meanwhile Chase and Joe F made a sign for him. This is what it said: Mrs. Eldrigde 5 th grade Scar Ya Mon. The last thing we did was add picture to the sign. When Miss Bishop took it down to be judge. We got a green ribbon. I think we should of gotten a better place.

Last week some people in my class built a ScareCrow. It’s name was "Scare Ya Mon". He was made of tin foil and plastic bags and other recycling things. First we got the tin foil from a play that we had to do. Then we made a t with two sticks. After that we cut a hole in a milk big enough to fit over the stick.
