At the museum it was fun but we really did not get to see enough because we were running late. The first thing we did was fun because there was a tube that you could crawl throw. And when we were leaving the dock I saw a fish jumping up and down because it was dieing. And then we went to see the Cobria sub marine. And after the tour we went to get Torpedo Juice witch was accully root beer, But it tasted different than the regular root beer. It was so exciting because it was the first time I was in Wisconsin. …Alex

The Maritime museum was also very educational. I learned all about how the submarine worked. It was awesome but it was also kinda freaky. There were tons of turpedoes and I was afraid they were going to blow up on me and kill me. There were so many different little buttons and it was all so confusing. …Katherine

Fifth Graders Aboard the Submarine Cobia

The U.S.S. Cobia is a WW2 submarine. It was one of the biggest subs of its time. It had 5 dack guns and a lot of torpedoes. Some of the crewmembers had to sleep on them. The sub had a mess hall, a torpedo room and bunk room. The engine room was amazing, the engines were so big. That ends my day yesterday. …Joe F.

Then when we got to Wisconsin we went to the Maritime Museum. We went on a submarine called the Cobia. It was a submarine that was used in the World War 2. Then we went in the real museum. There was this really neat water thing that showed how the Soo Locks work. It was really fun in there. Then after we were done in the museum we went back on the boat back to Michigan. I wish we could’ve stayed on the Badger longer. …Kailani
